Wisp! Awaken in the Magical World

Chapter 136: Killing

Chapter 136: Killing

The last Level Four Magus was still fighting the Magic Beast, so he could not come to help his companions either. Just like that, it became an even field... if one of his group's enemies wasn't Linfel, that is.

Wing flowed through Alvin and Linfel, and Alvin's body moved from his position like a bullet. All the icicles missed the target. Alvin's fists turned into two spiked weapons, and with Linfel's help, they closed in on the Water guy.

"What?!" He couldn't believe Alvin and Linfel's speed. They were even faster than himself. In the end, he changed his tactic to defense. Countless shards of ice spread from his body, creating a barrier that he could manipulate.

Alvin's earth spike fists came forward, and the shards concentrated in front of them, blocking Alvin's attack.

*Bang! Bang!*

*Crack, crack, crash!*

Yet, the power behind the attacks were so great that the ice shards barrier crumbled almost instantly. By now, the enemy knew that they had piqued a fight with the wrong opponent. Linfel's group was much stronger than what you would expect from their levels.

Finally, Alvin and Linfel's opponent gave up the attack and turned around to flee. He might not be able to face them, but if he and his familiar used all their Magic Energy to run, they should be able to outlast Linfel and Alvin with their extra Magic Energy. They were sure the fast movements performed by Linfel and Alvin consumed huge amounts of Magic Energy as well.

Truth be told, Alvin and Linfel's Magic Control was better than Vantun, the Level Five Magus. So... they were actually using a lot less Magic Energy than the Level Four Magus and Familiar. They would definitely outlast the guy if they wanted. Yet, Linfel saw no need for it.

*Boom!*

As soon as the guy turned around to flee, he ended face to face with a fireball! Linfel's control allowed him to manipulate Magic Energy much further away than his enemies as well, so he prepared that in advance. The guy was sent flying, crashing against the ground and kicking a few times.

*Arrrgh!*

On the other side, Milia and Nori landed another heavy attack on her enemy. They were far from having Alvin and especially Linfel's Magic Energy Control. Nonetheless, they improved quite a bit.

The last guy was scared out of his mind as he fought the Magic Beast. Never would have he thought his companions, who were all at higher levels, would lose so miserably. It made him wonder who was ambushing who for real. He gritted his teeth and a burst of magic Energy came from his body.

An enormous hammer of Earth Element came crashing down on the Magic Beast, forcing it to retreat for a moment. Without thinking twice, the guy turned around and fled! He didn't want to have anything to do with his companions anymore. The only thing that mattered in this place was to stay alive, and he wouldn't stay alive for much longer if he stayed there.

Linfel noticed that but didn't do anything. Instead, he communicated with Alvin, who quickly grabbed the dead guy's MCOM and retreated to Milia's side. The two joined together and easily broke several bones of the last Magus while cracking his Familiar's Core. Yet, they didn't kill the guy. Even in this situation, if they landed a killing blow, they would be the ones to be marked as Killers.

"Got them! Let's go!" Linfel's orders came. The Magic Beast was still there, and the commotion was bound to attract more of them. They weren't too far from the settlement yet, so there was also a chance of more Maguses and Familiar appearing as well.

The two guys who were still alive felt the despair. They were in terrible condition and could barely move. Linfel and his group had no intention of helping, leaving them for the Magic Beast to deal with. If they survived, then that's it. If not, then they could only blame themselves.

*Roar!*

Sure enough, the Magic Beast lost track of the guy it was fighting and then returned, just to see the two Maguses trying to run away while spilling blood all over the ground. How could it let them go? It immediately attacked. As for what happened after that, Linfel's group wasn't close enough to watch.

Thirty minutes later, Linfel's group stopped. "Now, that's what I call a good day's work," Linfel said with a smile. Right after, he took out three MCOMs, one of them being the Level Five Magus and Familiar's MCOM. He touched those MCOMs to his own. He couldn't access the information of those maguses and Familiars, but he could definitely rob them of their Ventis Credits thanks to the Ventis Sect app.

Soon, the Ventis Credits inside those three MCOMs entered Linfel's account.

-Ventis Credits: 659-

Alvin, Milia, and Nori looked at that and sighed. "No wonder there are people willing to attack others. Such huge rewards..."

Linfel smiled. "Well, we got rid of one of the killers, so the Ventis Credits in his MCOM were doubled when they fell into my account."

"That's true..." The other agreed.

Linfel then threw the MCOMs away. He could copy those guys' Magic Energy and use the MCOMs as if he were them. However, it was better to only display this ability of his if extremely necessary. "Well then, we have made our first killing, no pun intended."

Alvin's eyes lit up. "Then let's just go back to the City and use the credits."

"Of course!" Linfel nodded. "After we finish our next cycle of training. Good thing we used some of our Ventis Credits to buy food in the settlement. We can stay out in the open for another week. By the way, the direction we have been moving is actually a lot more towards the center of the Forest than the City. I want to meet a few Level Five Magic Beasts while we are still here.

Let's go."

Alvin, Milia, and Nori trembled slightly. Obviously, Linfel still hasn't had enough of 'fun' in this journey. "Well... It wasn't like I didn't expect that," Milia commented with a sigh. She was getting used to Linfel's craziness.
