Chapter 41
Chapter 41
41 clash of wills
Damon who was still laughing uncontrollably suddenly heard footsteps walking towards this direction, it was then he suddenly remembered that it had been a long time since he broke into the library and his little distractions would not be able to ward off others anymore.
Stopping his laughter Damon was about to turn around and leave his current state was not ideal for another fight and he didn’t want to risk losing the plane crystal.
Just about to run away Damon noticed he couldn’t move, no matter how he tried his whole body was not responding to him, it was like he was locked in his own body, the footsteps grew louder and Damon noticed the visitor, it was a typical bald head air nomad dressed in the traditional red and yellow robes of the nomad’s tribe but his bald head was tattooed with a swastika symbol, Damon had no idea when the same symbol was attached to his wrist and glowing an eerie blue.
Damon’s pupils shrunk and unbelief shown through them, in a matter of seconds before he knew it, the air nomad monk had moved faster than Damon’s perception or nerves could react and the monk took the crystal from Damon’s static palm and forcefully inserted the crystal into Damon’s heart.
Damon felt the power restricting his movement disappear and he fell to the ground curled up in pain, all his cells were squirming uncontrollably, his flesh, skin and blood seemed to defy gravity as they multiplied frantically.
The air nomad watched this disgusting scene indifferently and stretched fort his palm towards the squirming blob of meat at his feet. With the movement of his palm, the plane crystal in the depth of the meat glowed and a crystal dome appeared covering the squirming mixture of flesh and blood, creating a new crystal monument in place of where the library was situated before.
“you came”
Layton said with a smile on his face not in the least surprised at the fact that the monk that had stepped out of the aperture that appeared in front of him.
“I didn’t expect it to be you, my guess was Giatsu” Layton continued not waiting for the monk’s reply to his first statement.
.....
“He is me, but I am not him” the monk replied with an obscure smile on his handsome face if Zahir was present he would be shocked the monk was his uncle who had brought him to the new republic.
“You came earlier than expected”
Layton only got a knowing smile in response to his statement.
Layton sighed silently in his heart he knew the little movements he had made before couldn’t conceal the perception of the monk in front of him.
“How did you find out” Layton couldn’t help but ask curiously, although he had prepared for the possibility of his plan being seen through, he was still inevitably curious as to how it happened after all his opponent was not just an aboriginal of the plane.
“I didn’t but you were sitting here honestly and that made me worried.” Layton had a wry smile on his face hearing that response, he didn’t expect the reputation of wizards would be the flaw.
His opponent was aware that he could not move so the monk wasn’t in a hurry to move, the monk even cooperated with Layton to procrastinate because he himself needed some time to adapt to the rich spiritual particles in this weird space.
Suddenly without warning a hint of gold appeared in the void dyeing the blue space golden.
The monk suddenly turned golden and behind him, a phantom of a huge Buddha statue of many arms with swastika symbols on its palms emerged filling the space with a weird will that perfectly merged with the golden light giving it an eternal meaning.
A majestic momentum also emerged from Layton and a vague vast will that sought to crush everything clashed with the indestructible meaning of the Buddha lightning emerged in the void and the whole space started to shake as if about to be destroyed.
Although Layton’s will was not as solid or pure as the monk it was able to compete with the monk without losing ground based on the bonus of being connected to the plane which greatly expanded the size of his will.
The monk put his palms together and with a sigh, he moved his palm forward slowly, the Buddha statue behind him with its numerous palms synchronized with his movements.
Watching the oppressing palm that was moving forward and penetrating his will, Layton stood up from his seat retracted all his will to his knuckles forming a vague outline of a world and fisted out using the weight of the world to hit the palm-filled with eternal meaning that had somehow appeared suddenly in front of him.
The fist and palm intersected and numerous cracks were born in the void as the two collided, soon the space was unable to bear their strength and with a loud bang, it collapsed.
Layton who was still sitting in the chair imprisoned by the plane opened his eyes staring at the monk who was already within breathing distance of him, although Layton could influence the plane and have exaggerated combat power it was not effective in the space he was currently in.
Layton had created an illusion immediately the monk had set his eyes on him, the conversation and battle all took place in the illusion.
Layton tried to create another illusion but the golden light that radiated from the monk defeated the illusion before it was born. Out of the golden light, the blue ghostly form of Giatsu emerged and started chanting “Namah Samanta Vajranam Canda....” As Giatsu kept chanting he got closer to Layton who was still seated and could not move, Layton did not struggle anymore and just watched quietly as the Giatsu chanted peacefully and disentangled into some blue particles that formed a spherical prison that sealed Layton.
A split second before Layton was sealed an obscure wave from Layton swept through the whole plane, the monk who was still bathed in golden light felt the wave and was uneasy but after Layton was still sealed and nothing else occurred his uneasy mind was put to rest, looking at the sealed Layton with a free and easy smile the monk left through the blue aperture that had brought him to this hidden space in the first place.
