Chapter ?122 Finding An Exit
Chapter ?122 Finding An Exit
"We are going to die after a week? I thought that it would just be automatic exit!" Myriad Arrows was shocked.
"Yeah. The realm will close down, and all those inside will technically die at the same time. So that will include us, and we will exit to where we entered the realm in the first place."
"So we will probably revive exactly where the entrance to the secret realm was. And if our luck is even worse, we will enter the jaws of the boss of the forest." Jake explained.
"How does the exit look?" Myriad Arrows asked.
"How does the exit look, huh? I am not sure. This is the first time that I have been in a secret realm myself. I don't know anything about secret realms. This is all that I gathered." Jake said.
He didn't have much on secret realms. They were far and few between. Guilds that found them monopolized them, and information about them rarely came out. And almost every single time, the only way to leave was found to be dying as the exit closed.
So no one knew what an exit even looked like. They only knew that there was an exit because one guild pulled it off. There were only rumors that no one was killed in that secret realm because they found an exit to the place.
And Jake planned on doing exactly that. Too much greed wasn't always good. After one died, a player could lose nothing, but he could also lose everything he had.
"Find the exit first. And after we know where it is, we will be all for the better. If we know where it is, the remaining time of the secret realm, we can try hunting a little. But remember. Find the exit first." Jake warned again.
"We will split up for this? Better to cover more surface area that way right?" Myriad Arrows said.
"Yes. Try to find anything that might be like a door. Maybe something like the green crystal that you tapped that brought us here in the first place." Jake suggested.
"That sounds good. Well then. You go that way and I will go this way." Myriad Arrows said, pointing to different directions.
"It is a pity that they don't give us a map of the secret realm that we are in but then again, that would be too terrifying and unfair." Jake said as he nodded.
Both of them started moving. Time was of the essence. The more time that they wasted talking, the less time they would have to find the portal that would lead them out of here.
And it was important to have an out of this place. If they were in danger of dying, or if they had something urgent going on outside here, they needed to be able to get out of the realm.
Also, if they found the portal, like Jake said, they would be clear of dying because of the realm closing. Instead, they could happily focus on grinding, or trying to find good equipment.
Jake started running through the trees. He was strong for sure. He probably was one of the strongest in the game right now.
p
But most importantly, today was going to change things. He technically killed two of the strongest monsters killed by players in the game. Him along with Myriad Arrows.
This was through deception, sure, but it was a feat that no one had accomplished until Jake did.
He was at level thirty five now. He could go through the Tier Upgrade Quest right now if he had the chance to.
"I have no idea what is going to come in the tier upgrade quest though. It seems way too hard for me to go through. This is for a legendary class after all. Tier Upgrade Quests are always going to be harder for higher classes." Jake thought to himself as he kept running through the trees.
He saw many dinosaurs below, and some of them heard the commotion of something moving up there, but none of them bothered to try and chase after something that they couldn't see, and couldn't reach.
Sure, one or two of the raptors below would try to start giving chase, but Jake was much faster than when he first came to the place. He had put in a lot of free attribute points into agility, and he was pretty fast now.
He was going to start with the usual suspects in his hunt for the exit. He was going to the edge of the secret realm.
For something that was like a door to the outside world, it could possibly be at the edge of the world.
And this was just a small realm. It was big in human standards, the size of a small town perhaps, but it was still crossable. It was scalable.
One end could be seen.
Flat earthers would have a field day when they could come to this realm. This small world was disconnected from the rest of the world, and it had a barrier that spanned the border of the world.
For all intents and purposes, they were inside a dome. A giant dome that had dinosaurs inside. And although Jake was worried that this could have been a secret realm with an agenda, like a mad scientist's laboratory, all that he had found until now proved otherwise.
The metallic strips did not indicate anything at all.
Jake was relieved that he didn't have a boss to fight against. After all, if there was a boss, then the exit to the realm would only be next to the boss.
And at their level, there was no way that they could battle against the boss. There was absolutely no way that they could find an exit if there was a final boss in this place.
