Chapter 190 Zanna Khaos, The Spirit Of Chaos
Zanna Khaos was the Spirit Of Chaos. She was also hailed as the Queen of the Spirit Race, the Mother Of Chaos.
However, the element of chaos was too chaotic and it would cause the surrounding mana to be distorted. The surrounding mana would bow down to the element of chaos and as long as the Chaos Spirit was present, the mana within the vicinity would only submit to her and not to others.
So even if Zanna could control her chaos element proficiently, her presence alone could make those surrounding mana submit to her only and not to others. Because of that, it affected the development of the Spirit Race since the elemental spirits were very reliant on mana.
Zanna was well aware of that so she chose to abdicate from her status as the Spirit Queen and lived in seclusion. As a result of that, she was living her life in this isolated forest which was one of the forbidden areas in this world.
The Mystic Forest was one of the seven forbidden areas of this world. It was filled with a lot of dangerous magical beasts that could easily destroy a country but that wasn't what made this area forbidden.
If the Mystic Forest was ranked as the third forbidden area, the first forbidden area which was the Sea Of Chaos was located adjacent to the edge of the Mystic Forest.
Because of how dangerous the edge of the Mystic Forest was, none of the 10th-rank Beasts and Beast Overlords dared to even step foot near it.
Zanna took advantage of that and she lived in solitude on the edge of the Mystic Forest near the Sea Of Chaos.
It has been ten thousand years since Zanna abdicated from her +-
position and left the Spirit Realm. In other words, she had spent ten thousand years of solitude on the edge of the Mystic Forest.
Zanna didn't even know anything that happened in the outside world. Although she had left a magic artifact that for her Spirit Race that allowed them to communicate with her in times of danger, the Spirit Race had yet to use it which made her feel lonely.
As usual, she was spending her day either sleeping or taking a look at the Sea Of Chaos. When she was bored, she would use her fishing rod to fish for objects from the Sea Of Chaos.
Although the Sea Of Chaos was the most dangerous forbidden land in Fantasia, Zanna had a certain extent of immunity towards the chaotic waters of the Sea Of Chaos.
The water from the Sea Of Chaos was liquefied elements of chaos and chaotic mana. It was also filled with a lot of mystery that even ten thousand years of coming into contact with it had still made Zanna feel that she hadn't thoroughly explored the secrets behind the Sea Of Chaos.
But she did discover that the Sea Of Chaos was too chaotic that it distorted the elements of space and time. Because of that, there would be often objects from another world being washed away here.
Although most of those objects were destroyed or were about to be corroded by the chaotic waters, it became one of Zanna's hobbies to fish for those objects. If her luck was good enough, she might even be able to fish out an otherworldly object that wasn't destroyed by the Sea Of Chaos yet.
While Zanna was having her usual day of fishing, she didn't expect that she could fish a human from the Sea Of Chaos!
Looking at the male human's silky ebony black hair and crimson red eyes, his handsome and peerless appearance had stunned her!
'Such a handsome man… Is he a god from another world?'
Zanna thought as she observed Alister. If he was a god, then it wouldn't be unusual for him to withstand the waters of the Sea Of Chaos.
Although Alister was weaker than her, she assumed that it was due to him suffering from the turbulence of space and time that had caused his power to decline due to resisting it.
Furthermore, Alister might be weaker than her in terms of power level, but even Zanna who was the strongest elemental spirit in Fantasia felt threatened by him. It was as if the handsome man in front of her had the means to kill her!
However, from closer inspection, Zanna got a whiff of Alister's scent and couldn't help but be attracted to him. She didn't feel any hostility from Alister and on the contrary, Alister gave her the feeling that he was the one for her.
'He… smells good… Is this love at first sight?'
'Or have I been too lonely?'
Zanna felt conflicted.
Was she desperate for companionship?
Did the ten thousand years of solitude make her yearn for the warmth and presence of another person?
Zanna didn't know.
However, deep in her heart, she knew that she wanted to at least experience what it was like to be accompanied by someone.
After having a chat with Alister and confirming that he was indeed not hostile to her, maybe out of impulse or affected by his scent, Zanna pushed Alister to the ground while he was unresponsive and pinned him down on the ground, with her body on top of him.
Her long purple-colored hair had touched Alister's cheek and both of their eyes met each other's gaze. Sniffing his scent again which made her intoxicated, Zanna commented, "You smelled nice. Can you stay and live here with me? It has been a long time since I met someone."
Zanna wasn't lying when she said that it had been a long time since she met someone. Moreover, she was well aware that she might have been too abrupt and impulsive.
But if she tried her luck and it allowed her to feel the warmth and presence of someone again, Zanna was willing to bet.
If it failed, then she couldn't do anything if Alister didn't want to accompany her.
When Zanna was anticipating Alister's reply, Alister finally answered after organizing his thoughts, "I…"
