Chapter 236 Do You Want Me To Betray The Human Race?
Hearing Zanna's request, Alister joked, "You are asking me, a human, to kill another human to save an elf? Do you want me to betray the human race?"
Zanna's voice came out of the carriage, "You already betrayed the human race since you married me and killed the human heroes."
In response to that, Alister shrugged, "It's not my fault you are so beautiful that I was tempted by you."
After flirting with Zanna, Alister agreed to fulfill her request since he could care less about those human bandits.
Alister didn't care about the race of a living being. He only cared whether they were an enemy to him or not.
And since Zanna's enemies were his enemies, Alister agreed to kill those human bandits and save the to-be-enslaved elves.
Flicking the reins, the wind agile horse neighed and listened to Alister's command. With just one step of the wind agile horse, the royal carriage seemed to have teleported and appeared in the middle of the forest.
The wind agile horse's full speed was so fast that it appeared to be teleporting but didn't use any space elements.
There was a clearing in the middle of the forest and that was where the royal carriage had arrived. And in the middle of the forest, the human bandits were binding the caught elves with magic handcuffs.
Although the elves that were caught by the human bandits were mostly ordinary elves who hadn't constructed a magic circle yet and only a mana core, there were still a few elves among them that were 1st-Circle Mage.
The human bandits led by the slave trader were likely veterans in dealing with slaves. They used the most efficient technique in subduing the elves without damaging their face or bodies.
After all, the elves were known for their beauty and even the ugliest elf would be more beautiful than the ugliest human.
Since they were professional bandits, the bandits knew not to harm the 'product' so that its value wouldn't decrease.
The bandits had used an anesthetic gas from a magical herb to not only let the elves lose their mobility but also prevent them from using mana. The anesthetic gas had the effect of blocking the mana core of 3rd-Circle Mage and below.
Although the magical herb the anesthetic gas was made from was expensive, the slave trader dared to use it since the 13 elves caught by them were more than enough to offset the price of the magical herb as well as bring them profits.
There were 8 female elves and 5 male elves that were captured by the slave trader and bandits. The female elves would fetch a higher price than male elves since those rich male nobles would want to buy them as sex slaves.
There might be rich female nobles who would buy male elves as their sex slaves, but the rich male nobles who were interested in sex slaves outnumbered the rich female nobles.
Looking at the female elves with lustful eyes and a disgusting smile, the fat human slave trader grinned, "As usual, I will do a quality inspection on one of the goods. The rest of you will pack up the elf slaves inside those cages."
But before the slave trader could approach one of the female elves, his obese body wobbled and fell on the ground as if a heavy weight had forcefully descended on his body.
Not only the slave traders but all of the human bandits had fallen on the ground as a powerful pressure pressed their bodies onto the ground.
Only when they fell to the ground that they subconsciously look at the royal carriage that appeared out of nowhere.
The royal carriage which seemed to be much more expensive than the royal family's carriage appeared in the middle of the forest. However, the slave trader and human bandits hadn't detected its presence since Alister had slightly concealed the presence of the area around the royal carriage.
However, the presence concealment was only focused on the slave trader and human bandits since the caught elves had already noticed it. But the enslaved elves couldn't voice out their surprise. After all, the magic handcuffs had not only blocked their mana but also their voice.
The elves weren't fully enslaved yet since they were just bound by the magic handcuffs but the slave collars weren't worn on their neck yet. They were freshly caught by the slave trader and bandits so the slave collars and slave contracts weren't applied to the elves yet.
Otherwise, it would be troublesome for the average mage to deal with a slave trader who has slaves at their disposal. After all, the life of a slave was in the hands of the slave trader and those slaves could be used as hostages.
However, even if that did happen, Alister's negation superpower could easily negate the effects of a slave collar. Even his Nine-Colored Cosmic Sword could sever the connection between the slave and its master.
Under the eyes of the slave trader, the bandits, and the caught elves, the coachman of the royal carriage left the driver's seat and appeared in front of the slave trader.
A handsome man with ebony black hair stepped on the head of the slave trader. His crimson-red eyes glared at the slave trader and the human bandits as if he were looking at pieces of trash.
The powerful magic pressure exuding from the handsome man had not only restricted the movements of the slave traders and bandits, but it also brought fear into their hearts!
It also made the mood of the caged elves gloomy as they discovered the powerful mage in front of them was a human.
If it was an elf who saved them, they would be filled with happiness and hope of being saved. However, they were already caged by humans so even if the human mage that interfered was very handsome, they already prepared for the worst.
When Alister noticed the mood of those elves, he thought, 'Did they mistake me for a competitor of that slave trader?'
