Andy glanced at his wife before he spoke to Patricia. "Since your Grandpa has asked you to come back, remember to follow our rules."

However, Patricia didn't respond to him, and she couldn't care less about the man. Andy felt embarrassed about this as well. Why did I give birth to her in the first place? She's just like her mother —they're both useless to the family.

"Grandpa, it's getting late. I should head back first."

Hendrick said with a nod, "Tricia, remember to come back three days later on your sister's wedding day. Isaac and Adeline need to include you in their vows and ask for your permission to get married. They'll need to buy you a gift as well. This is the Aniston Family's tradition, after all."

When Gwen heard that, she didn't quite understand and asked hastily, "Dad, she's just a sister and not one of the elderly. Why does Adeline have to ask for her permission? The others will laugh at her."

Hendrick replied coldly, "This is our family's tradition. The elder sibling is supposed to marry before the younger one. Since Tricia is not married yet, it means that Addy is overstepping. As such, she'll need to ask her sister for forgiveness and permission to get married."

Gwen didn't know there was such a family tradition. If others knew about it, they would laugh at them for sure. "Dad, it's Tricia who can't find herself a husband, though. She can only blame herself for that."

He's saying this as if Addy has done something wrong. Why didn't he consider the fact that everyone in his elderly circle nowadays is saying that he has a successor already? This is all because Addy has found Isaac. In Appleby, no family is stronger than the Arnold Family, and the elders have noticed Isaac's capability too.

Everyone was amazed by Isaac, so they were jealous when they knew that Hendrick had found such a good grandson-in-law. This is all thanks to Addy. Why is he so ungrateful? In fact, he's even making things difficult for Addy. He's really unthankful.

When Hendrick heard that, he looked at Patricia standing beside him. She was not angry at all despite hearing all those harsh words from her stepmother. As he looked at her expression, he could feel her generosity and calmness, which made her have the demeanor of a noble family lady.

He nodded his head in appreciation and had the desire to show Patricia affection again. "Enough. I want you and Addy to copy the family's rules a hundred times."

Gwen was instantly stunned, for asking her to copy the family's rules a hundred times was even crueler than not letting her put on makeup. She didn't want to copy it at all.
