The novel has surprised me some. It was unexpectedly good. The MC is smart and careful. He downplays his strength publicly so he is not suspected of acting against those who provoke him. It deters the sect from sending him away from his fields to combat missions. He often secretly kills those who cross him. It's one of those novels where the MC gets system rewards from harvesting plants he raises himself. He ingratiates himself in the sect with his knowledge of plants and beasts. The closest comparison is "top tier providence" but Lu Xuan is not OP like Han Jue. He is average in every way except for his cheat. He overwhelms his opponents in seconds with his system given wealth.Like many of the genre, there are sects, clans that specialize in sales, evil cultivators, and even demonic invasions into the continent. The MC sometimes travels or is sent in missions, though most of the "down time" working his fields is merely summarized by the author until harvest time. A pity really, I'd like to read much more detailed writing about how Lu Xuan takes care of each and every plant :D The MC eventually joins a sect and we see that sect life arc. SpoilerUntil the demons invade and the biggest sects are unable to resist them, so they disband and the core leadership flees, abandoning their juniors. Then like others in the genre, there is travel to a stronger cultivation area from the "starter continent".I'll give it a 4/5. I just caught up with ch 639 on the mtl.
Balance
Yo it's a pretty funny novel at times and it's also good, in the mtl at least.
Yesterday, I read about 30 chapters of this webnovel. The cultivation progress feels painfully slow. Within these 30 chapters, the MC has only advanced from Qi Cultivation Stage 2 to Stage 4. The system can reward "months of cultivation progress," yet it rarely gives them out. Single-use Talismans are increasingly emphasized, with the MC continuously praising their usefulness. However, in my opinion, if the MC's cultivation level surpasses that of their enemy, they could simply overpower them without relying on these talismans. The pacing of the story is sluggish, making it quite boring. Ultimately, I decided to drop it.
This is a realistic low power level storyIt's different from what u are seeking, that doesn't make it bad. It's exploring each stage and the dynamics of low power level cultivation world and society is refreshing. The caution excercised is within level and beautifully managed to portray the struggles of a qi apprenticeWhich are majority of the cultivators in the world.
Slow pace itself doesn't make something bad. There are many slow-burn novels, like 'Mortal's Journey to Immortality,' that beautifully showcase growth. It is actually a broken promise that sours a novel. The way the system is depicted resembles those fast-paced modern cultivation novels. It is natural to expect fast growth from the synopsis and initial chapters. However, the author deceived the readers into reading something else. They could have made a slow-paced novel without the system. It's like those clickbait thumbnail YouTube videos.
Ur kinda true tbh
I don't care if it's good, I have yearned long enough for a farming novel
you farm, i sleep
Balance
Why is this tagged as evil mc? I'm 14 chaps seen and I've seen this nigga do everything a good mc does.
He isn't evil at all. But he secretly raises "evil" plants and possesses "evil" items that the system rewarded him with for harvesting them.He doesn't mess with people at all, and ignores people disrespecting him - because he downplays his strength in the first place. He does secretly kill those who step over the line though, and often harvest their bodies or souls to feed his plants.
That Is literally what this is about farming and u get mad at the author for actually doing what he said his main character was going to do farmI rather have this than those novels where the main character does it at the beginning then immediately goes to fighting everybody after he’s strong enough and that’s like 10 chapters he will only work to get something for others or it will be a quest from his system
As the King of Grinding, the player faced Lu Xuan. The player asked Lu Xuan, "Are you a cultivator because you farm? Or are you a farmer because you cultivate?"The player began to open their domain 'Reload Save' and rewinded time itself to a previously set point until they could approach Lu Xuan's realm of cultivation. However, Lu Xuan cultivates nowhere, and by voice stabilization technique he simply stated:"Stand proud, you'e strong,"But,"Nah, I'd win."The player's domain crumpled. In their final moments, the player uttered the phrase,"With this treasure I summon..."Because in novels of cultivation, always bet on the Plot Armor. The battle was trivially concluded, and those who pioneered the techniques of cheats, the ones who manifested the golden finger, they would all bear witness to the bare flesh of the one who is free.
Lobotomy kaisen has invaded deep
"Are you strong because you're nah id win or did you leave it all behind and stand proud because with this treasure I summon always bet on Hakari. Im you."Ahh post???
Nah, I'd Run~Probably Yuta
