Chapter 1045 - This Heart Says Nothing...

Same day evening, Lu Lian and Wen Zac had to meet. Lu Lian was getting ready in her room, where Lu Bao didn’t forget to trouble her.

"Get ready nicely. The guy should be knocked out in just one glance," Lu Bao teased.

Lu Lian didn’t answer and continued to be ready. She looked silent these days as if she had no opinion of her about what she was doing.

"Aren’t you going too simple for the blind date?" Lu Bao asked, observing the dress that Lu Lian pulled out from the wardrobe, and said, "You are not going to an office meeting."

"It’s not a blind date either. Just a casual meeting," Lu Lian countered.

Once Lu Lian was ready, Lu Boa looked at her in surprise, "Well, you don’t look that simple," she sighed, "My pretty sister, whatever she wears, turns it into a stylish thing."

Lu Lian wore peach color knee-length, perfect fit dress. Long lace sleeves, high lace neckline covering the lower part of the neck, and hair tied into a ponytail as she wore tiny studs in the ears and held the clutch in hand.

"My pretty sister," Lu Bao sighed out deeply, staring at Lu Lian.

"Are you done?" Lu Lian asked.

"Can’t I even praise my sister?" Lu Lian frowned and looked away.

Lu Lian smiled lightly and went to her sister, "I’m as pretty as my sister, so how can I not look good in anything?"

Lu Bao stopped sulking as the smile covered her face, "Sometimes you are so sweet. I wonder how you would look if you will flirt with a guy like this. You almost made my heart flutter with sweet talk and your beauty."

Lu Lian had nothing to say over it to her silly sister and spoke, "Soon, you will have one kid, so you should stop being one."

"I won’t. Let my husband deal with two kids."

"It’s time," Lu Lian informed.

Lu Bao nodded, permitting to leave her as she spoke, "Lian, just follow what your heart says and not what our family says."

Lu Lian turned to look at her sister, "This heart says nothing."

Though Lu Lian smiled, her eyes showed she was hurt. Lu Bao could feel it, but nothing she could do other than comforting her sister.

--------

Wen Zac and Lu Lian had to meet at the restaurant of one of the luxurious hotels in the city that was owned by Mings.

Wen Zac was already present there as he waited for Lu Lian, who was yet to arrive.

The General manager of the hotel personally came to Wen Zac to greet him, knowing he was Ming Rusheng’s friend.

"Good evening, Mr. Wen," said the man.

Wen Zac greeted him back and asked, "Is my friend not here?"

"Mr. Ming returned home last night once Mr. Wen left," The man replied and said again, "But he would be here in some time."

The man left while Wen Zac dialed Ming Rusheng’s number. The call went unattended.

"What’s wrong with this guy? Since morning trying to contact him but he just disappeared," Wen Zac mumbled.

-----

Lu Lian reached the place. Looking at the hotel, she frowned, "Out of so many hotels, why this one?"

Calming herself down, she went inside, where the attendant guided her way towards one table in that luxurious restaurant, where everything made of glass glittered under the light.

The circular tables were covered with white table runners and chairs wrapped in the same way. The center of the table had beautiful glass vases and flowers decorated in it as the light from the lamps hung around to transfer the atmosphere to the pleasant one. It was the perfect place to have a dinner date and talk peacefully.

She noticed a man in a dark grey suit who stood up to welcome her.

Lu Lian went to him and greeted him by bowing lightly. Wen Zac smiled back, accepting her greeting, and pulled the chair for her to sit. Once she was comfortable. Wen Zac sat apposite to her.

The two had seen each other during business meetings, so they were not strangers.

Lu Lian came there but didn’t know what to talk about, and the same was with Wen Zac. Though she was his friend’s sister, he hardly came across her because Wen Zan was out of China for so long till Lu Qiang was alive.

"This is so sudden. You must be uncomfortable just like me," Wen Zac spoke.

Lu Lian nodded. She observed the man was the same as her, conflicted over this turn of events.

"I had seen you when you were so young. Lu Qiang once brought you to my home," Wen Zan spoke.

It surprised Lu Lian as she had no such memory, but hearing her brother’s name made her happy.

"I don’t remember it."

Wen Zac smiled, "You were so young to remember it."

"I troubled him a lot when I was a kid," she added.

Talking about Lu Qiang made the situation comfortable.

"Sorry to say, but you were so clingy on him that he had to take you everywhere he went," he added.

It brightened up her eyes, and she asked curiously, "Really?"

Wen Zac nodded, "But he never got annoyed. He loved his sister a lot."

"I wish I can still annoy him," she spoke.

"I wish the same," he said, and she looked at him.

"Well, I was his annoying friend who made him do strange things," Wen Zac answered her unspoken question.

Just as the two were comfortable with each other, they heard the familiar voices.

"Good evening, Mr. Ming," one of the staff greeted Ming Rusheng, who was with one lady.

Ming Rusheng nodded to it, and the general manager arrived there. He bowed slightly, "Mr. Ming, this way, please," and guided Ming Rusheng’s way towards one of the tables as the lady in a blue color dress walked along with Ming Rusheng.

They walked where Wen Zac and Lu Lian sat.

"My friend and your boss is here," Wen Zac spoke.
