Jiang Yuyan looked at Lu Lijun questioningly with puzzled expressions.

Lu Lijun realized what he had just said and changed his words.

"You.... don’t need to know," Lu Lijun stepped back and left.

Seeing him going away, Jiang Yuyan gave out a sigh of relief as if his intimidating sight suffocated her. She stared at his retreating back and thought she couldn’t understand this side of him when all the time she thought she knew him well.

------

Seeing off his friends, Lu Feng was about to return inside the mansion, but he saw Lu Lijun and Jiang Yuyan talking. Though he couldn’t hear what they talked about, he could sense the tensed air around them where Lu Lijun looked serious, and Jiang Yuyan looked confused and lost.

Lu Feng was sure Lu Lijun must have said or done something to make her like this as it was impossible to shake her so easily.

Lu Feng thought not to meddle between them and was about to return, but just then, Lu Lijun, who was closer to Jiang Yuyan, turned and left.

Lu Feng could see Lu Lijun was angry, and Jiang Yuyan was clueless about his behavior.

He went to Jiang Yuyan, who tried to breathe normally and collected herself immediately, seeing Lu Feng coming towards her.

"Are you okay?" Lu Feng asked.

She nodded and looked at where Lu Lijun went to make sure he was gone.

"Did you two argue?" Lu Feng asked.

She nodded again, "A little."

"You can tell anything if you want to," said Lu Feng, and she looked at him, "I mean anything about Lu Lijun. He is my brother, so..."

"You already know he is acting rebellious these days and wants to do everything opposite to what I said," she commented.

"Hmm," Lu Feng agreed.

Jiang Yuyan continued, "But sometimes he behaves differently, that I can’t understand what’s in his mind. It feels like there is so much he wants to say, but he can’t. His eyes; other than the rage, there is a lot that I can’t understand, and it somewhere scares me. I don’t know how to explain."

While saying all this, Jiang Yuyna felt anxious and beating faster but didn’t know why she was like this as she couldn’t understand Lu Lijun.

On the other hand, Lu Feng could understand Lu Lijun and knew why he must be like this, but he could only console Jiang Yuyan.

"His anger would be gone soon. Don’t worry," said Lu Feng.

Jiang Yuyan agreed, and Lu Feng instructed, "We should go inside."

As the two stepped inside, Jiang Yuyan asked, "How is she?"

It startled Lu Feng as Jiang Yuyan never asked him directly anything.

"Doing good," he replied.

"And you?"

"I am fine too."

"This time, do what your heart says and don’t hold back," she suggested.

Lu Feng turned silent as if he had nothing to say, and Jiang Yuyan looked at him, "It’s not every day that we meet the person who we protect over our life."

Lu Feng understood what she meant, "I’ll keep in mind."

The two left. Reaching the first floor in the mansion, Lu Feng said good night to her and went to his room while Jiang Yuyan went to the second floor where her heartbeat turned faster with each step she climbed on the staircase, feeling anxious about facing the stubborn and angry guy.

Jiang Yuyan couldn’t believe the way she was reacting to Lu Lijun’s behavior. She was always so strong, and nothing affected her this much ever, the way Lu Lijun did.

-------

Angry Lu Lijun went to his room in a hurry, without talking to anyone coming in his way. Others who saw him could see something again had happened, but it was not good to speak with him when he was angry.

Lu Lijun closed the door of his room with force, and the entire mansion could hear that loud door slamming noise.

Closing the door, he went to the gallery of his room as he was frustrated and didn’t know what to do.

Slamming his hand on the gallery’s railing and gripping it with his hand, he mumbled, "What did I just say to her?" He shut his eyes as the frowning lines appeared even more profound, "Why did I say it? Have I lost my mind? I should not do this. I just hate her and nothing else. I need to stop this," he continued to console himself.

Trying to correct himself, Lu Lijun opened his eyes, and his sight followed down towards the way from the garden to the mansion. He saw Jiang Yuyan walking with Lu Feng to go inside the mansion.

To him, she didn’t look bothered but looked calm while talking to Lu Feng. It angered him even more as he was the only one affected while she was fine and didn’t care for him. He returned inside and shut the gallery’s glass door as he sat his back resting at the door.

He felt lost and wanted the way out of it, and for it, he was ready to do anything. He was not sure of what to do, but the only thing he knew was to not feel anything about her other than hate.

------

Jake and Noah reached home and sat in the living room to relax. The two had nothing much to talk about other than Lu Lijun.

"Is he serious about that girl?" Jake asked.

"Do you really think so?" Noah asked.

"I know it’s not possible. But we never saw him even sparing a glance at any girl, and suddenly he met her and even went shopping. What is he up to?"

"That I’m not sure even. We can only wish him not to do anything wrong," Noah commented, and the two turned silent.

Just then, Noah remembered something and chuckled.

"What?" Jake asked.

"You should have seen his face when today suddenly president Lu came to his office and asked him to remove his Jacket," Noah replied.

It surprised Jake, "Are you serious?"

Noah nodded, "He tried his best to show it was nothing."

"Then it must be nothing to him," Jake commented.

Seeing the ignorant reaction from Jake, Noah sighed, "Don’t act as if you don’t understand him."

Jake didn’t answer, and Noah continued, "Imagine, the person you like suddenly asks you to do something like this, wouldn’t you be surprised or feel anything?" Noah asked.

Jake stared at him, "Why don’t you try asking the same to me?"

Noah chuckled mockingly, "Why would I. Instead, I’ll ask Nicole to undress in front of me."

Jake frowned, "Then what are you waiting for? Get the hell out of her and go to her."

"She is out of the city," Noah replied calmly and said, "By the way, this is my home, so you can’t ask me to get out from here."

"I can even kick you out of here," Jake replied.

"You dare," Noah warned, and Jake stood up, "Do you want me to try it?"

"I’m not scared of you, your highness," Noah replied.

Jake leaned down and held Noah’s collar tightly in one hand while the other one rested on the hand rest of the sofa.

It startled Noah as he didn’t think Jake would really do it.

Gritting his teeth, Jake moved his face closer to Noah’s and straight stared into his eyes. "Don’t provoke me to do anything that you would regret later."

Noah could see Jake was serious and held his hand, which held his collar, "Jake...."

"I’m not done yet," Jake interrupted as he tightened his grip on Noah’s collar and warned, "Whenever we talk, don’t mention the third person. Nicole or whoever it is."

Noah could feel his heartbeats picking up the pace as this handsome and intimidating prince gazed at him so closely.

Jake let him go and stood up. Not giving Noah a chance to say anything, Jake turned around to leave as he said, "Good night."

Noah could only stare at him, and the next moment he heard the loud sound of the door closing.

SLAM!!!

Seems like he would take down my home now," Noah commented, trying to act cool as if he felt nothing, but inside he knew, it was something to worry about.
