Chapter 1062 - Nothing Is More Important Than Him...
When Lu Lijun came out of Jiang Yuyan’s office, Lu Lijun saw Xiao Min standing outside.
He looked at Xiao Min and instructed, "Inform me when I have to leave."
Xiao Min nodded, and Lu Lijun left. Lu Lijun didn’t go to his office but went to the elevator. His intentions were clear; he was leaving despite the order of finishing his work first.
Xiao Min went to Jiang Yuyan’s office, where he saw his boss sitting in the chair facing the wall behind her work table.
Xiao Min could only see the back of the chair and was worried for his boss. It was rare for Jiang Yuyan to sit like this. He was used to seeing his boss’s face the moment he entered the office.
"Boss," Xiao Min called.
Jiang Yuyan didn’t answer and not being able to see her face worried him even more. He couldn’t go on the other side and talk to her because he knew she didn’t want him to see her.
"Are you okay, boss?" Xiao Min asked.
Still, there was no answer. This time Xiao Min felt worried and stepped towards her after waiting for a moment.
Before he could even reach the table, Jiang Yuyan spoke, "Prepare for me to leave for France."
"And the fourth young master?" Xiao Min asked.
"I’m going alone," she replied.
Xiao Min understood and stayed there.
"Is everything alright?" he asked again.
"Hmm. I’ll go home today," she instructed.
Xiao Min understood Jiang Yuyan was not going to Lu Mansion, and it was not the weekend, so he was sure there was something wrong.
Xiao Min stepped in to check on her but heard his boss’s warning, "Stop there."
Xiao Min stopped hearing her, but anxiousness surrounded him.
"Leave me alone for a while," she said.
Nodding lightly, Xiao Min left.
Jiang Yuyan sat in her chair with her eyes closed as the tiers didn’t stop rolling down her cheeks. She felt guilty but for what she didn’t know. All she thought, whatever it was, it’s all her fault.
Calming herself, Jiang Yuyan put on sunglasses so that no one could notice her eyes which would let others know she cried.
Wearing sunglasses, though it was not needed as the sun was about to set, she came out of her office and went towards the elevator. San Zemin’s man, who was always present out of her office, followed her while Xiao Min had no idea she left.
The receptionist informed Xiao Min, and he ran out of his office to follow his boss by getting another elevator.
When Jiang Yuyan got to the car, she asked the driver to step out and sat in the driver’s seat.
The driver and San Zemin’s man tried to stop her, but one glare and the silent but threatening treatment from her was enough to shut them, and they stepped back.
"Boss," Xiao Min came running to her car, but till then, she was already inside and locked the door that Xiao Min couldn’t open.
"Boss, let me in," Said Xiao Min while patting on the window, but Jiang Yuyan drove away, and Xiao Min shouted at her, "Put on the seatbelt at least."
There was no way Jiang Yuyan heard him, and he kicked the floor, cursing at it. "Damn. Get another car," he instructed the driver.
Xiao Min glared at San Zemin’s man, "Why didn’t you stop her?"
"Can we really stop her?" the man asked, and Xiao Min knew it was not his fault.
The driver brought another car. Xiao Min and the other man sat in it and followed Jiang Yuyan by first tracing her car in the GPS installed in her car.
Jiang Yuyan drove faster, but the moment she entered the highway, the speed of the car increased even more.
"It’s not good," Xiao Min mumbled and instructed the driver, "Show your driving skills today and overtake her. We need to stop her at any cost."
The driver, who already drove at speed, stepped on the gas to get even faster. They continued to operate till long as both cars were at high speed.
The driver was a skilled one and did his best while Xiao Min and the other man sat bracing themselves.
"Faster," Xiao Min instructed, seeing how Jiang Yuyan drove as if she feared nothing.
Soon the car caught up with Jiang Yuyan’s and sped up to go ahead of it at enough distance.
SCREECH!!
At a distance, the driver took a turn and stopped perpendicular to the road as they prayed Jiang Yuyan would step on the break before it’s late.
SCREECH!!
Jiang Yuyan stopped, and the other three gave out a sigh of relief, but it was not the end. Jiang Yuyan moved her car reverse and was about to escape by going in the wrong direction on that road, but soon so many cars stopped behind her that belonged to San Zemin.
All those cars are always present in Lu Corporations and San Zemin’s men to face any emergency.
Jiang Yuyan had no way out as all the cars surrounded her. Xiao Min stepped out of the car and went to her, where she looked furious, breathed heavily, and stared only ahead to find her way out.
"Boss, open the door," Xiao Min called her, but she didn’t hear him.
Xiao Min let her be, and San Zemin instructed his men to block the road and allow other vehicles to get diversion. As it was not rush hour on the highway, blocking that small patch of one side lane of the road was not a big deal.
Thinking there must be an accident, the few passerby cars didn’t pay attention to it, and neither could they see anything as Zan Zemin’s men surrounded Jiang Yuyan’s car. Also, they blocked the street cameras so no one could see them.
As Jiang Yuyan didn’t come out of the car, they waited for her to be calm down and open the door on her own. The time passed by in a silence where one could only hear the sound of wind and passing cars.
CLUCK!!
They heard the sound of Jiang Yuyan’s car’s door being unlocked.
Xiao Min, who stood close to the car, immediately opened the door on Jiang Yuyan’s side and offered her hand. The calm, hurt, and lost-looking woman accepted it and stepped out of the car.
No one asked anything, and San Zemin passed her water bottle. She had few sips and sat on the back passenger seat of the car on her own. There was a dead silence that no one dared to make a sound.
Xiao Min sat in the driver seat and drove away to take Jiang Yuyan to her home while San Zemin’s car followed them, and the other returned to Lu Corporation.
On the way to the home, Xiao Min looked at her through the rearview mirror. She looked lost as if something had affected her badly.
Xiao Min couldn’t hold back and asked, "Did fourth young master say something?"
There was no reply for a while, and Xiao Min lost his hope to get an answer, but suddenly she spoke.
"I forgot, nothing is more important than him."
