Chapter 1565 Guests

Chapter 1565  Guests

As invited, the guests began to arrive one by one at the newly-built mansion of Ming Rushen and Lu Lian. Cars gracefully glided through the imposing gates, announcing the arrival of friends and family to celebrate the union of the newlyweds.

Among the first to arrive were An Tian, Lu Feng, Noah, and Jake, who stepped out of their vehicle just as two more cars pulled up to the gate. From these emerged Wen Zac, Ming Lan, Jiang Yang, and Nicky, completing the gathering of close companions.

Warm greetings filled the air as they exchanged embraces and smiles. Nicky, still relatively new to few, walked towards Lu Feng, addressing him with a respectful "Brother Feng."

Returning her gesture with a gentle smile, Lu Feng acknowledged her presence. "It's good to see you here," he replied warmly.

An Tian, directed his attention towards Nicky, complimenting her with a playful grin. "You're looking even more stunning, Nicky."

Jiang Yang, standing by Nicky's side, casually draped his arm around her shoulders, his smirk directed at An Tian. "She's well aware of that."

An Tian smirked playfully, "I thought to remind her again to make her feel even better. I didn't know someone would get salty over a genuine praise."

"You can save that praise for someone else. She has me to make her feel better," Jiang Yang countered. Turning to Lu Feng, An Tian couldn't resist a teasing jab. "Can he get any more annoying?"

Lu Feng, always quick-witted, fired back with a smirk. "He might be annoying, but he's not wrong. Maybe it's time for you to spread your compliments elsewhere before you turn into a grumpy old hag."

An Tian, refusing to back down, shot back with a retort of his own. "Save your advice for yourself, Lu Feng. You're not getting any younger either. You should not keep your grandfather waiting for long."

"When the right comes," Lu Feng replied. An Tian sighed and turned his attention back to Jiang Yang, "I thought you won't be like these men around us, overly possessive, but you are no different."

"I wait for the day when I see you getting overly possessive. That day, I will be the one to mock you first," Jiang Yang said. "I believe in freedom- mine and others' as well."

"Yeah, we will see that. There must be at least someone who would make you eat your words, An Tian. I curse you for that."

"I don't believe in curses. I lead my life on my own," An Tian countered confidently. As another car glided into the mansion's grounds, the atmosphere shifted slightly. All eyes turned towards it as Lu Lijun and Jiang Yuyan emerged from within. Nicky's gaze lingered on Yuyan, unsure of how to approach her comfortably in this setting.

Sensing her hesitation, Jiang Yang, ever attentive, gently rubbed her shoulder, a silent reassurance that she wasn't alone. His comforting touch conveyed encouragement, urging her to navigate the situation with ease.

Meanwhile, Lu Lijun and Jiang Yuyan made their way towards the group. Jiang Yuyan went to Nicky. They had come across each other in Lu Lian's wedding but Nicky was busy with the bride and Jiang Yuyan with Lu Lijun. Jiang Yuyan also decided to spare Nicky from sudden awkwardness as they needed to first meet in the comfortable surroundings. Jiang Yang let go of Nicky, leaving the space for two friends to interact.

"Nicky, it's been too long," Jiang Yuyan spoke warmly, closing the distance between them with open arms.

Despite her initial apprehension, Nicky reciprocated the hug softly, her awkwardness melting away in Yuyan's embrace. "It's good to see you again, Yuyan," she replied, genuine warmth infusing her words.

Jiang Yuyan looked back at her, smile spreading her lips, "How have you been?"

"As usual, good. And you?"

"I am good as well."

Lu Lijun aprached them as he stood next to Jiang Yuyan and looked at Nicky to greet her. "Lu Lijun, you have grown up now," Nicky spoke as she remembered that young boy from the past. "Good to see you."

"Good to see you as well," Lu Lijun replied and looked at Jiang Yuyan as he brushed away the hairstandd moving in front of her face due to the breeze, "You were not feeling well in the car. You should go inside and rest."

"I am alright. Don't worry," Jiang Yuyan assured with a smile. The way both acted like perfectly harmonious couple, Nicky looked at Jiang Yang to which he smiled, assuring her what she was thinking was right. Surprised, Nicky looked at the two. During wedding she had seen these two always together but as it was the wedding in their family she didn't think much. But now, things were clear. In her heart she felt happy and less guilty if Jiang Yuyan could be happier once more and get everything she deserved. Just then, Ming Rusheng and Lu Lian emerged from the main residence, hand in hand, their faces radiant with happiness as they hurried to welcome their guests. The air buzzed with excitement and anticipation, setting the stage for a night of celebration and joy.

"Welcome to our new home," Lu Lian said, as she happily greeted everyone, "Thank you for coming."

"It's such a beautiful place, Lian," Jiang Yuyan spoke as they walked around. "Thank you, Yuyan. Even I feel the same," Lian spoke. "Rich people showing off," Jiang Yang said playfully to which Wen Zac added, "Agreed"

After brother An Tian's home in England, now it's turn of this another Prince to show off," Noah commented. "I will get one for us as well then you can show off too," Jake spoke, "In fact I am already working on it."

"I earn well enough to buy better one for me," Noah scoffed, "Who are you to get home for me."

"That you can just ask yourself who I am to you." "Fuck off."

Jake was calm and composed. These days Noah's outburst didn't affect him at all. An Tian passed and appreciating gaze to his brother.
