?
"That night, I remember I didn't call you, or more likely couldn't call you. How did you come to me?" Noah asked.
"For that, you should thank Yuyan."
It shocked Noah. "Huh?"
"You know she had her people looking after me, secretly protecting me. They kept an eye on everyone around me, including you. They told me you were in danger and even brought me there," Lu Lijun explained. "I always hated having them around, but that day, I could only be thankful. Since then, I've accepted them being around me."
"So, Yuyan must know what happened that night," Noah asked hesitantly.
"She must have. She knows everything happening around me."
Noah sighed and shook his head, only to hear Lu Lijun say, "She is someone who can understand you better. You don't have to feel awkward about it."
Noah simply nodded as he looked outside the car window. His gaze fell on a particular clothing showroom. "Lijun?"
"What?"
"Is Brother An Tian still in the city?"
"I guess so. But last night he was telling Brother Feng that he's returning to England tonight."
"Stop the car," Noah said urgently.
The driver stopped the car, and Noah turned to Lu Lijun. "I have to leave. See you at the office later, maybe."
"Where are you going?"
"To get answers to some questions," Noah replied, opening the door.
"From Brother An Tian?"
"Yes. I think I know the answer he wanted to hear from me back then. I'm going to answer him and then get the answers to my questions."
"Go ahead." Noah left, and Lu Lijun rode back to the office.
Entering the showroom, Noah directly asked for An Tian, who happened to be there checking on the showroom. An Tian was talking to the manager and inspecting the clothes when he heard Noah asking a salesgirl about him.
An Tian stepped away from the clothing stand that had been hiding him. "What brings you here, young one?"
Noah walked toward him and said, "I know the answer to the question you asked me when we were at your home in England."
An Tian smiled lightly. "Seems like lightning has struck you finally," he said, turning. "Let's head inside."
Noah followed An Tian into the office and sat in the chair opposite him.
"Hmm, so what was the question?" An Tian asked. "Old age seems to have made my brain rusty."
Noah could tell he was taunting on behalf of Lu Feng and himself, as he often called them elders.
"That day, I asked you why Jake has a criminal record and why it is related to me," Noah replied. "You said you would answer me if I told you why it is important for me to know."
"So, do you have the right answer to my question now?" An Tian asked.
"Yes," Noah replied confidently.
An Tian leaned back in his chair lazily, as if Noah finally finding an answer to his question was not a big deal. "And what is it?"
"It's because I love Jake. So I deserve to know everything about him."
"Hmm... have you even told Jake about it?" An Tian asked.
Noah frowned. "That's between him and me. I'm here to get what you promised me."
"Stubborn kids," An Tian shook his head. "You must still remember that night when Jake couldn't come to you when you were in trouble."
"I never forgot it," Noah countered. "What about it?"
"Jake arrived there, but he was late, and you were already gone. When he learned what they did to you, Jake beat them all brutally."
"What?"
"Yes," An Tian replied. "He was taken to the police station, the parents of all the kids were called, and there was so much drama. When asked why he had beaten those boys so brutally, Jake never gave the reason. He just said those bastards deserved it.
"He was asked to apologize to settle the matters between the kids. Our parents were going to compensate monetarily and no report would be made against him, but Jake didn't agree to it. He didn't apologize and decided to accept the punishment.
"Our parents were helpless as well. They tried their best and settled matters with monetary compensation to their parents so they wouldn't pursue the matter. He was under juvenile punishment of detention for a month and community service for the next six months."
Shocked, Noah realized something. "That's why he was gone for an entire month and never showed up. The next six months he would always leave the moment classes ended and never spent any time with me and Lijun?"
An Tian nodded. "Our parents were worried and called me back. When I talked to him, he finally told me. Our parents still don't know why he did it," he chuckled, "Now he is the only
proud member of our family to have a criminal record."
Noah ran his hands through his hair, looking all helpless. "Why didn't he tell me?"
"You should go ask him."
"I will." Noah stood up. "Thank you for telling me."
"No worries. As long as you confess to my brother, your debt is paid."
Noah didn't comment and left.
He called Lu Lijun, "I won't be coming back to office for a while."
"Anything serious?"
"No. I am going to see Jake. I might be late."
"Don't worry. Take your time."
"Ah, I received a message. You have dinner meeting with Jared Magnus today. I..."
"I can handle it," Lu Lijun assured.
"I have already messaged Mister Xiao Min. He would be there till I make it back."
"Alright. Go now and stop worrying about me."
Noah hung up the call, got the cab and went to Jake's office. Jake was busy in the meeting when he was informed that Noah was there to meet him. Noah was made to wait in Jake's office till the meeting was over.
Jake retuned to his office where Noah was sitting on the couch. He was surprised to see Noah
there.
As he walked towards the couch, Jake asked with a light smile on his lips. "Are you here for a business as President Lu's assistant of you just missed me so much that you could not stay away from me? I would prefer the later one."
Noah stared at Jake wordless before standing up and going to Jake. "Seems like you really missed me...Umm..."
Jake's lips were sealed while Noah's hands gripped his collars tightly to hold him. Jake, surprised, could not help but kiss him back, feeling delighted in his heart.
When Noah finally let go of him, breathless, he whispered against Jake's lips, "Yeah, I truly
missed you, you bastard."
Jake chuckled, "I didn't know after last night you would go crazy for me and come to me,
leaving your work behind."
"Yeah, whatever you say," Noah said and kissed him back.
"If you want it again, this is not the right place," Jake whispered against his lips.
"I want it, but this time, it would be your ass to suffer," Noah whispered back, his voice laced
with the lust he was feeling for Jake.
After knowing the truth, he didn't bother holding back.
"Can you even do it yet?" Jake's hand moved to Noah's bottoms, "must still hurt."
Noah pushed Jake on the couch behind and leaned over him, "Want to try?"
"Are you sure you want to do it here?" Jake asked, as he raised a brow.
Noah, sighed. "Tonight. Get back home early after your work."
"Sure," Jake smiled, seeing Noah annoyed that they had to stop.
"I will get back to work," Noah was about to move back but Jake pulled him back, "Stay."
"Lijun has an important meeting. I need to be with him," Noah spoke.
"If you knew, why would you even come here and even want to fuck me? That means your
presence is not that necessary," Jake countered.
"But we are not going to anything so...."
"Stay. I am asking you to," Jake said, "I have some important work to do, or I would have taken you back home right away and have you under me."
"Alright," Noah sat on the couch next to Jake, "but it would be you under me," and got his bag from which he pulled out the laptop, "I have something important to do as well." Jake looked at Noah's laptop screen and saw him typing the codes, "What are you planning to
hack into now?"
"Something important to for Lijun. I have to complete this program."
Jake stood up, "I won't disturb you then," and walked to sit behind his desk.
As he looked at Noah, he wondered what happened all of a sudden that Noah came to him and
his attitude towards him was changed. He was not annoyed or angry at him, but showed his
interest straightaway.
'Having sex once made such a big difference? Then I shall keep do my best to keep to this way and make him confess to me.'
