Chapter 384 - Lost Some Weight
Chapter 384 - Lost Some Weight
The couple left together after settling their business at the police station.
Song Xing Xing looked out the window and could not stop thinking about the scene she had witnessed a while ago.
She thought about the little boy that she met a few days ago and sighed again. The boy was actually quite obedient and cute. The only reason he did all that was due to his mother.
The child grew by his mother's side, watching her as she was obsessed with getting what she could not have. Chen Yu Xi only wanted his mother to smile at him again. He had thought that doing what his mother wanted would make her happy.
Song Xing Xing thought that Chen Yu Xi was quite pitiful to have such a mother.
Lu Xun was driving when he heard his wife sighing. He glanced at her and spoke, "Are you thinking about that boy again?"
Song Xing Xing turned with a faint smile on her face. "Hmm..."
Lu Xun heaved a helpless sigh. His wife only had a brief interaction with Shi An Na's son but it was enough for her to keep worrying about him.
"Just what kind of person is Miss Shi's ex-husband?"
A trace of unhappiness appeared on Lu Xun's face. Although he knew the reason Song Xing Xing had inquired about that man, it was still unpleasant to hear her asking about another man.
As if understanding what was going on in her husband's mind, Song Xing Xing let out a chuckle and asked, "Will it be alright for that boy to be with his father instead?"
Song Xing Xing did not want the boy to suffer after he followed his father later.
"You don't have to worry about this. I think it would be better for that boy to go with his father. At least, Alan, he... would not let the boy go astray."
Although he did not like Alan, Lu Xun thought that Alan would be able to look after his son better than Shi An Na. Even though he might not have much time to spend with his son due to his work, at least, his family is rich enough to employ someone to look after the boy.
Lu Xun thought about the boy and started to feel anxious about his little family.
Recently, the two of them have been preparing for pregnancy. Lu Xun was looking forward to the arrival of their child but at the same time, he was worried.
In the future, when he finally becomes a father, would he be able to be a good father as well? Suddenly, he was worried that he would be too busy with his work to pay attention to his children.
Lu Xun secretly reminded himself that no matter how much he would be busy with work, he should prioritize his family first.
Whatever happened, he must never let his family down. In the future, he should make time for their children and teach them personally so that they would not go astray.
The rain fell as the car approached the house.
Lu Xun parked the car at the porch and helped his wife with the door. He grabbed a few things in the car, turned around, and caught his wife watching the rain.
With a light sigh, Lu Xun approached her and wrapped his arms around her shoulder to give her some warmth.
"Lu Xun."
"Un."
Song Xing Xing raised her head to look at her husband. "I suddenly had this urge to go and play in the rain."
Lu Xun stared at his wife for a while. He pinched her cheek softly and spoke, "Don't even think about it. What would I do if you get sick again?"
Song Xing Xing giggled and the two of them walked into the house together.
The moment they entered, Mr. Fluffball ran over to the door and looked at the couple inquiringly.
These past few days, his papa has been ignoring him. Mr. Fluffball saw that his papa's mood was not that good and decided not to make a ruckus.
Now, he greeted the couple at the door to see whether his papa's mood has improved.
"Mr. Fluffball."
Hearing his name, the cat walked over and started to rub his body against his papa's legs. "Meow." He should take this as a hint that his papa's mood had improved a lot, right?
Lu Xun bent down to pick up the cat. However, someone else was faster than him.
Song Xing Xing hugged the cat in her embrace and watched as Mr. Fluffball stared back at her with a dissatisfied look on his face. Subconsciously, the corner of her lips turned into a smile.
Mr. Fluffball tried to struggle out from his master's embrace but he could not make a move. "Meow." The cat turned to his papa, asking him to help him.
"Hubby, you should be tired after dealing with everything recently. You go ahead and take a shower first and relax," Song Xing Xing spoke before Lu Xun could say a word. "I'll pour some food for Mr. Fluffball first and prepare something for dinner."
Lu Xun shifted his gaze between the cat and its master. "Do you know where his food is?"
After Song Xing Xing moved in with him, it was Lu Xun who would feed the cat. Now, Lu Xun was worried that his wife would not know where he had stored the cat's food.
"Un. I know." Song Xing Xing nodded.
"Don't feed him the wet food," Lu Xun reminded her. "Mr. Fluffball is still on a diet. Previously, Auntie Wei had prepared a new batch of boiled chicken for him. Just take it out from the refrigerator and reheat it for a while."
The corner of her lips began to twitch. Her husband worried too much about this fat cat. "Un. I know."
Lu Xun watched the two of them with worry. However, thinking that the cat originally belonged to his wife, Lu Xun quickly assured himself that she would know what to do next.
Song Xing Xing watched as her husband headed upstairs and bought the fat cat into the kitchen. After carrying the cat for a while, her arms were getting a little tired.
"Mr. Fluffball, are you really on a diet? Why do I feel as if you have gained weight?"
"Meow!" The cat shot a look at his master. Recently, he had lost some weight. However, the food that is papa had prepared for him had made his fur shiny and thick. Thus, he might appear as if he had gotten fatter instead.
Song Xing Xing put the cat down and took out the food for him. As she was waiting for the food to reheat, Song Xing Xing went into the pantry and opened the cabinet where Lu Xun would store Mr. Fluffball's necessities.
Her expression froze when she saw the number of things that Lu Xun had bought for her cat.
