You're My Only Star

Chapter 430 - The Smell Of Prawn

Chapter 430 - The Smell Of Prawn

They arrived at the restaurant and were taken to the private room that Song Xing Xing had booked earlier. It was his first birthday that they get to celebrate as husband and wife. Naturally, Song Xing Xing only wanted to be alone with him.

The waitress walked in and handed them their menu. Then, she left to give the couple some space to make their decision.

Song Xing Xing merely glanced at the menu before she passed it to Lu Xun. "It's your birthday. You go ahead and order whatever you want. It's my treat."

The corner of his lips tilted up. Lu Xun inched forward with a mischievous look in his eyes. "Miss Song, are you saying that you wouldn't mind if I order a few expensive dishes? Can you afford to pay for it?"

His wife can be quite stingy with money. Wouldn't her heart hurt if she spend too much money?

Song Xing Xing laughed. "You don't have to worry about this. I still have my husband's card with me."

"Didn't you say that it will be your treat?" Lu Xun stretched his hand and brushed his finger on the tip of her nose. "Why are you using your husband's card?"

"Why not? My husband's money is my money anyway."

Lu Xun laughed upon hearing her words. "Alright. You are right. My money is yours."

The waitress returned to their room and Lu Xun started to order. After repeating the order once, the waitress left again.

Song Xing Xing leaned over and looked at the man sitting in front of her. "Why did you order the food that I like?"

"It's not a problem. I like the food you like."

The smile on her face turned brighter. Song Xing Xing could not help but thought that her husband was especially adorable today.

The couple continued to chat for a little bit. Of course, since Song Xing Xing has been busy with Xia Yu's matter, their conversation revolved around Xia Yu and Huo Yun Chen.

Now that he knew that his wife was planning to play as a matchmaker for Huo Yun Chen and Xia Yu, Lu Xun's vinegar barrel was no longer overturned.

A knock was heard on the door and the waitress returned to serve them the food they ordered. Song Xing Xing glanced at the food before she blinked at the waitress.

Getting her hint, the waitress nodded subtly before she left again.

Once the waitress had left, Lu Xun began to pick a few dishes and placed them into his wife's bowl. Song Xing Xing took a small bite of the chicken wings and sighed in satisfaction.

As she began to eat, Lu Xun took the task to peel a few prawns for his wife. Now that he was getting used to this task, his movement was quite fast.

However, the moment he pushed the plate of peeled prawn to her, Lu Xun began to notice that Song Xing Xing's face had turned pale.

Before he could ask what was going on, Song Xing Xing had stood up and run out the door. Panicking, Lu Xun stood up and ran after her.

The waitress was pushing a cart of birthday cake to their room.

Song Xing Xing was in a rush and did not notice the waitress and the cart coming over. The moment she saw the waitress, it was a little too late to stop.

Her eyes widened as she braced for the impact.

Someone tugged on her arms and pulled her away from the cart. Song Xing Xing inhaled the familiar scent and immediately relaxed. However... Song Xing Xing was unable to stop the nauseous feeling and vomited straight onto Lu Xun's shirt.

She stared at his white shirt speechlessly and looked up, blinking innocently at him.

"Mrs. Lu, are you alright?" The waitress looked at the couple with a pale look on her face. Knowing the identity of this couple, the waitress was worried that she might lose her job because of it.

Song Xing Xing pursed her lips. She was too embarrassed to face anyone in this situation.

The waitress walked around the cart and finally noticed the stain on Lu Xun's shirt. She let out a loud gasp and said, "President Lu, let me get you a clean cloth to help you clean up."

Once the waitress had turned around and left, Lu Xun lowered his head to look at his wife again. "Are you still feeling unwell?"

Song Xing Xing shook her head.

"Let's head over to the restroom to clean up first."

Song Xing Xing could only nod obediently.

Just as they reach the restroom, the waitress returned with a clean cloth and passed it over to Lu Xun.

"Help us to check if there's anyone inside."

The waitress turned to look at the ladies' room and immediately understood Lu Xun's instruction. After ensuring that there was no one inside the bathroom, the waitress let the couple in and stood on guard outside.

"I'm sorry." Song Xing Xing whispered weakly as they both stood in front of the sink.

"It's alright," Lu Xun said with a sigh. "Go on and wash your mouth first."

"Oh." Song Xing Xing nodded and turned around to wash her mouth. She looked up and watched through the mirror as her husband was instructing Bei Yuan to bring over a clean shirt for him.

Fortunately, the restaurant was not too far from his company. It would take Bei Yuan a few minutes to arrive with a new set of clothes.

Her gaze shifted on the stain on his shirt again. Song Xing Xing could not help but feel guilty about what she had done. She grabbed the cloth that the waitress gave him earlier and helped him to wipe the stain.

"Just take off your clothes." Song Xing Xing said once the call ended. "It's dirty."

With Song Xing Xing's help, Lu Xun took off his dirty shirt and she began to wipe his chest with some water and soap.

Her wrist was caught, stopping her from wiping the stain on his body.

"Alright. That's enough. Xing Xing, you don't have to feel guilty about this. You didn't do it on purpose."

Even so, Song Xing Xing was unable to feel at ease.

It was his birthday but she had ruined it for him. How can she not feel guilty about it?

"If you're feeling unwell, you should tell me about it," Lu Xun continued.

"I'm not. Just that... the smell of prawn made me nauseous."

Lu Xun stared at his wife in puzzlement. "How can it be? You like prawns."

Song Xing Xing also did not know what was going on with her. Recently, she found that she did not like prawns as much as she used to. Just the sight of them would kill her appetite.

"Xing Xing.." Lu Xun stood up straight and looked at her with a serious look on his face. "When was the last time you had your period?"
