You're My Only Star

Chapter 81 - Explaining The Game

Chapter 81 - Explaining The Game

Lu Xun waited for both Song Xing Xing and that man to leave before he finally walked over to his nephew. Even after they had gone, his eyes continued to look towards the direction where Song Xing Xing and that mysterious man had disappeared to.

"Uncle where did you go to?" Jia Xuan asked. "I waited for you for a long time. I almost thought that you were going to leave me here."

Hearing his voice, Lu Xun finally turned to the little boy with a faint smile on his lips. "Sorry. I was answering an important call. You're not angry, are you?"

Jia Xuan shook his head. He saw the tokens in his uncle's hand and became excited again. "Uncle, let's go and play some other game. I wanted to try that drum!"

"Alright. Let's go." Lu Xun agreed. However, his mind was somewhere else. He could not stop thinking about Song Xing Xing and that mysterious man.

Even though he wanted to approach her, Lu Xun was worried that he would continuously hurt her.

His sister, Lu An Ran was right. He needed to take things slow if he wanted her back.

Back then, if he was not too stubborn, would their relationships turned different?

Lu Xun followed his nephew to another arcade game and accompanied him to play until they ran out of tokens again.

After Jia Xuan had played every game he wanted to play, Lu Xun brought him to a cafe. He ordered some coffee for himself and cakes and juices for his nephew. After texting his sister and informed her of their whereabouts, Lu Xun put his phone on the side and looked at his nephew.

Seeing that the boy was eating his cake happily, Lu Xun began to hesitate. "Jia Xuan, I saw you talking to someone in the arcade earlier."

Jia Xuan pursed his lips as he thinks. "Uncle, you mean that big sister from earlier?"

"Hmm…" Lu Xun nodded. "Do you know her?"

"I ran into her a few times after coming to this city. Last time, she helped me when I got separated from my mother at your studio," Jia Xuan said.

Lu Xun raised a brow. He was surprised upon hearing that their meeting at the studio was not their first meeting. "You've run into that sister before?"

"Un. I saw her at the park," Jia Xuan admitted. "That sister was playing the same game as me and she was very good at killing monsters."

For a while, Lu Xun could not understand what was his nephew talking about. "What game?"

Jia Xuan heaved a sigh of frustration. He wanted to show his uncle the game but at this time, he did not have the proper phone with him.

His mother wanted to control his time playing games. Therefore, she only allowed him to bring along a phone that did not support that game. If he wanted to play 'Legends of the Sky', he will have to use another phone instead.

"Uncle, give me your phone." Jia Xuan stretched his hand. "Let me show it to you."

Lu Xun handed his phone obediently and watched as his nephew fiddled with it.

Soon, a video showed up. He watched the characters fighting monsters and saw a thirty seconds video of a knight killing some monsters along with his teammates.

At the end of the video, the name of the game appeared, 'Legend of the Sky'.

Previously, Lu Xun had seen his nephew playing this game but he did not pay much attention to it.

Song Xing Xing was playing this game too?

"Uncle, it's this game.," Jia Xuan said. His eyes were bright as he stared back at his uncle. "Do you want to see how this game is played?"

"Can I?"

"I'll show you. But first, you have to install the game on your phone. Uncle, should I do it for you?" Jia Xuan continued to look at his uncle expectantly.

The little boy was slowly making a plan in his head to drag his uncle to join him in this game. Perhaps later, he could ask his uncle to spend some money and buy some rare equipment for him. Jia Xuan has been eyeing a new weapon, but he had no money to spend.

"Then you do it."

Hearing the answer, Jia Xuan bit at his lips to suppress his excitement. He quickly clicked the install button before his uncle was going to change his mind.

The installation took around a minute. With the additional pack installation, everything was done in less than five minutes.

Jia Xuan looked at the speed of his uncle's phone and could not hide his jealousy.

He also wanted a phone like this, ah! Then, he can play games without experiencing lagging!

Once the installation was done, Jia Xuan turned to his uncle again. "Uncle, look. This is Huo Yun Chen, the actor that I met at your studio previously.

On the screen was the picture of Huo Yun Chen in a knight costume. He swung his swords around and making cool poses.

"Uncle, let me tell you a secret," Jia Xuan whispered.

"What?"

"Huo Yun Chen and I are friends in this game," Jia Xuan said.

"Last time, you said you wanted to visit the studio because you wanted to see Huo Yun Chen?" Lu Xun asked.

He seemed to remember that someone had mentioned that Huo Yun Chen was a spokesperson for a game. He did not think that the man was the spokesperson for the game that Song Xing Xing was playing.

"Then, what about that sister? Did you add her as your friend in this game too?" Lu Xun asked.

"Ah!" Jia Xuan stared at his uncle with his eyes wide. "I forgot to ask that sister for her ID!"

Lu Xun heaved with disappointment at the boy's words.

"Uncle, should I log in to my account first and let you see what's good about this game?"

Lu Xun knows nothing about this game and therefore, he quickly agreed to whatever his nephew was suggesting. "Go on."

The smile on Jia Xuan's face widened. He wanted to use this chance to settle a few daily quests as well. The boy continued to explain to his uncle about the game as he settled his dailies.

Lu Xun listened to his nephew explaining the game attentively.

It has been years since the last time he played games. Lu Xun thought that a lot has changed since years ago. His eyes caught the sight of something blinking at the top of the game. He pointed at the icon and asked, "What's that?"

"It seemed that someone is mailing me," Jia Xuan said. He clicked at the icon and saw that a friend was inviting him to join them on a quest. He replied to his friend's message and explained that only logged in for a while.

A light flashed in his eyes as an idea came to his mind. Lu Xun turned to his nephew again and asked, "Can you help me to set up an account?"
