Today I was training our adventure students. They have been making some nice progress, and with Level Up!s, they have also gained some levels, and they are all between level 30 and 40 now.
Which is decent for an adventurer, they might be able to get to C-rank with that, but not nearly good enough for what I want from them.
But I guess I can introduce a few of them quickly.
Brooke, a human girl, and the youngest of the adventurer students. Her weapon of choice is a spear and she uses water magic. Her hair is green and eyes are blue.
She originates from the town of Bloggs, the town next to the lake that has the Nixie clan's hallow prison in it. Because of that, she has some fishing experience. And because of the situation with Cailie, though we blamed a dark shark for it, she wants to learn underwater combat so something like that cannot happen again.
Lucky for us, HomeBase is great for that. Because of Cailie, I made sure we can accommodate aquatic races, so Brooke has the chance to basically swim everywhere, so she got the Swimming skill. She also has an Underwater Breathing skill, something I could use, but honestly speaking, race changing into a mer-folk of melusine is more effective for me.
It is kind of ironic that she is studying in the home of the person who made her want to be an adventurer specializing in underwater combat.
Nicole, or Nikki as she goes by, is a raccoon-folk female. Small but busty… I didn’t say that. That was someone else.
Originally she used a dagger but I talked her into twin short swords. She has the Pickpocket title and Thief skill, so I almost didn’t take her in, but I decided to give her a chance since the title was crossed out. And she did tell that she got the title because she was just trying to live on the streets.
She came to HomeBase not having an attribute, but after an install, she now has the Light attribute. But she also wants to learn Time Magic, if possible.
Barrett is a human male. He uses a hammer and has earth magic. And he is fairly muscular, almost making him look like a dwarf. Except that he has absolutely no beard. He has black hair with emerald eyes.
Honestly speaking, Barrett is the most straight forward of our students. He was one of the best when he came in, and he is putting in a great effort, while also knowing how to relax and not go too far. He probably could have done without my training service, but at the same time, it isn’t bad for him.
Next up, Lugh the male wolf-kin. Not wolf-folk, but an actual born wolf-kin. He is albino with white fur and he has red eyes. Tall and lean.
He mainly fights with his claws, but he also uses a spear. And he is really good at throwing said spear.
Oh, and he has the Earth Attribute.
Miris is someone very unique. He is an insect-folk male. He is the most solitary of the bunch, likely because of his appearance. He has chitin covering most of his skin, including large portions of his face. And it can make him scary looking. No, I don't think he is scary, but ‘normal people’ might think that.
He uses a sword and Dark Magic, but also has access to a racial skill, Poison Making. It does what it sounds like. He can make basic poisons inside his body, which he can then extrude through a few places in his body. He mainly uses paralytic poisons, but he can also make toxic poisons. Though the toxic stuff isn’t that effective based on the few tests we’ve run, and even his paralytic poison can’t really affect me.
Yes, I tested it on myself, because why not? It did slow me down a bit, but it wasn’t able to prevent me from moving or anything. And because they barely affect me, I think I’ll be having Miris poison me more often so I can gain a Poison Resistance skill.
Other than that, Miris loves hiding with magic, but never holds back on his training. Honestly speaking, he might be training too much. If I was trying to raise assassins, he would be my best student, but I’m trying to put together a team, not individuals.
But even then, he is great at sneaking around opponents and striking them from behind.
And one of the people who will hopefully allow him to do that is Callan. Another human male. His weapon of choice is also a sword, though he picked up a great shield to go with it, specializing in the defensive side.
His hair is blond, eyes green. And his magic of choice is Light Magic. He isn’t great at offensive magic, mainly because he isn’t accurate, but buffing and healing magics he handles fine. I think he might have vision trouble, but Lua doesn’t actually have the knowledge to diagnose those kinds of things.
And his eyes should fix themselves when he evolves. Evolution fixes all the other problems, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t fix vision problems.
Our next, and last, sword wielder is Dante. Human male. And yes, he does use Fire Magic. He also wants to grow wings and learn to fly, so… If I was a mad scientist, I’d fuse him together with a demon. … Okay, maybe not, but I kind of want to. And I think he’d go along with it.
Last but not least is our Alice cosplayer. … I mean … okay, she is actually just imitating Alice.
But yeah. Elina is a human female. Long black hair that she usually has tied in a ponytail and her eyes are bright green. She uses a swordstaff as her weapon, again, Alice cosplay, and her attribute is Wind. She likes to coat her swordstaff in wind before attacking with it. And she is easily the most outgoing, and loudest, of the students. And the most likely to bite off more than she can chew.
Now that you know them, I can train them so one day they will be my fissure response team.
And while it has nothing to do with any of this stuff, I guess I’ll do something I promised. I’ll go over Lua’s new staff.
I gave it to her for her birthday, but back then, it lacked the magic stone needed for it, as I wanted Lua to make it herself, so it would be perfect for her.
So with my help, she made the stone and Wilma and I seated the stone into the staff.
After it was done, Lua named her staff the Staff of Maria, after both her grandmother and her System Support. And here are its stats.

Owner’s Seal: Lucia | |||||
Description: A staff made of vampiric steel, with an inner core of star titanium. It houses an S-rank magic stone made by Lucia and Brian Wood. When it was originally made, this staff wasn’t considered legendary. However, after a magic stone was lovingly made for it, and carefully seated in the staff, it became legendary. It has been sealed to be one with Holder Lucia, and cannot be used by anyone else as long as she lives. After her death, usage is to be controlled by System Support Maria. (This portion can only be read by those with a System Support of Advanced or higher tier.) |
Yeah. I didn’t expect it to become legendary as we set the magic stone into it, but here we are.
Now, I know you have questions, so let’s answer them. First of all, does Lua gain both of the Magic boosts? Yes, yes she does.
Do the attribute magic boosts stack with the general magic boost? Again, yes.
Do they stack if Lua casts multi-attribute magic? Yes. Can Lua actually cast multi-attribute spells? Well, she can make a water typhoon, but that is currently the only multi-attribute combat spell she can use. Though she has been practicing a spell that uses water and light magic to essentially make super powerful but super thin lasers that can burn through opponents.Definitely not Megiddo from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
… But yeah. That is Lua’s staff. You also now know the adventuring students in more detail. So I think that is all for today.
I’ll be heading to my room for some cuddles.
