This story just makes me sigh. SpoilerJulia is a very pitiful woman. This woman who has suffered in the hands of abusive father and stepmother with no one to love her do so long, gets married to the one person she liked hoping for love but is treated badly because of her father. Fernan emotionally abuses her until she loses all hope for happiness and decides to leave him only for him to turn terribly possessive. This man who so far had ignored suddenly refused to let go of her and she was basically imprisoned in her home. Here are some scenes showing what he said:“Even if it's the same hell, you might start to wish you were by my side."It was obvious what he wanted from her. He wanted her to live as the obedient Grand Duchess like she had been.To live on the apparent great public expense as before. Even if she was hated and treated coldly, even if this was hell, just be quiet and stay by his side.I believe there is something fundamentally wrong with this story. The relationship that came about after Fernan rescued Julia from the demons, gave me a feeling of Stockholm syndrome. He claimed he was sorry for all he had done but refused to let her have freedom. He claimed he would do whatever she wanted but he still kept her in bondage. That is not love in my opinion. She was only just recovering from her wounded heart and he appeared again (even though it was to help her), restraining her claiming love. He claimed he loved her but had to threaten to kill her friend to get her to give up on her escape. And then he sleeps with her immediately after that whispering love and whatnot. Although he wasn't aggressive, I think that already borders on rape because she had already lost any will to resist his will. Love is never forceful so this is plain obsession. The story later explains the reason for Fernan's treatment of Julia but it is still unjustified. I honestly feel Julia could've been happy without Fernan and I wished she could've been but I guess love doesn't always make sense. I can only imagine how much she originally liked him to deal with all that he did and to later forgive him.Only very few people truly cared about Julia in this story: Matheus, Melissa, Cedric and Gabrielle with the children. Majority of the other people were pieces of trash that should all go fall off a cliffTruly a tragic story

Don’t know why this one is so poorly rated. Cliches and general Chinese style writing are present. The occasional piece of thinly veiled racism are also present. That being said, it’s still comparatively, much better than the majority of crap that’s getting translated now. It’s nowhere near LotM level, but vanishingly few Chinese web novels are.
The premise to the story is interesting and the writing is decent. The main character is quite smart and so far has overcome most problems with his intelligence and split second cunning. I'm at chapter 75 and so far its pretty good.

I got 16 chapters in and I can't stand it anymore. There's nothing overly bad about the writing or anything but it has a cliche that drives me up the wall. It's where something happens like for example the main character gaining a power-up of sorts and the author feels a need to demonstrate that chance instantly so they write up the most ridiculous concept for an event that feels incredibly forced and unrealistic. I'll post the specific thing below in a spoiler.Chap 16. SpoilerMc decides to buy a gun and finds out It needs supernatural blood to "awaken" so he buys it. On his way back to his house, a monster dog attacks him (middle of the city btw) and makes him drop his own blood on the gun and use it to kill the dog.

And of course, since its the same premise, the protagonist of these "Villain" stories are the same with villainess genre "A guy who wants to survive and clear his name from being a villain since villain is equal to death/ protagonist's stepping stone".Now, "Villain" title is not really about "Evil MC". Its considered, if I remember it correctly as a genre too by a lot of authors, like isekai, system and inventory(one of the popular genre in CN now i think no translations tho)So yeah, If you saw someone commenting "Wah ? people are so hypocrite for expecting a good MC with a "Villain" title novel. To all my fellow daoists, here is a small review;(Minor spoiler alert below)First of all I had only read 3 chapter when I made this review so it won't be detailed but I feel like I can gouge the general direction this story is taking and how well it is.•First of all, Grammar and World building, if you don't know the author of this novel already has some works ongoing for a long time, so he has a good grasp on grammar and world, while not at the God level, it's still good.•Second, let's talk about world background, it's typical game type world with fantasy elements and and emotional system.•Now, let's talk about how well this novel is really;And I would say not very good.Reason;First, Mc is a genius and author makes sure that you understand it very clearly like he can literally identity chemicals by smell alone, he can memorize all programming codes of highly intelligent AI (and yes,I know that that he created it,but this doesn't make it any easier)Second, Again Mc, his personality seems cold, detached and apathetic type, and yet he somehow made a female AI with emotions, I don't understand why?He could simply made a simple AI.And if you haven't noticed it, there a Harem tag in the event section, and that is very unsettling to me.Don't misunderstand, I don't hate Harems, neither do I like them, I am rather neutral on that matter, but the reason why this is unsettling for is me, is again his personality, does he seem like a person who would love (and yes again, I have read WMW, so I understand how Harem without romance works), but the fact that Mc Is cold blooded killer who kills for fun(yes, he does because he is bored) would even bother forming a relationship is...weird.Anyway, if you are ok with the points above you go ahead and read it.Rating (personally): 3.3/5

What do you expect from an assassin? Killers have their own mindset and thoughts, you can’t judge them with your thoughts. And the reason why he might’ve made the A.I Female is to maybe cope up with loneliness. But I do agree with you about the rest.
