Chapter 47 Battle of clones ;Archangel Micheal vs The Original Sin Asmodeous

"Well, we're damned..." Void said with a smile, his gaze locked onto the approaching figure. He had heard of the mighty Archangel Michael, but this was the first time seeing him in person, even if it was just a clone.

"Archangel Michael..." Void murmured, as he sheathed his great sword back into his system space.

The figure at the forefront had just wiped out the entire demon army. Only a few rank 2 beings, including Void, were still alive.

The Archangel's face was obscured by a radiant glow, his form barely discernible through the light. His feet touched the ground, and he surveyed the destruction with a solemn expression.

"I was too late..." Michael said, his voice heavy with regret as he glanced at the fallen angels. A few survivors remained, hidden among the ruins of the city.

Michael's attention shifted forward, to the still-living rank 2 beings. With a single step, he appeared in front of them, covering a distance of hundreds of light years in an instant.

"You are brave to stand here..." Michael remarked, his tone calm yet filled with underlying power.

"Dammit... we really need backup," Void muttered, frowning. Surely the Abyss would sense this and send reinforcements—or perhaps it already had?

Void's eyes narrowed. Something was coming. Something powerful enough to stop Michael.

"Now, I must erase you," Michael said, his divine aura intensifying. The rank 2 beings were frozen in place, unable to move, their bodies paralyzed by the overwhelming force. Void, however, remained calm, his mind racing.

They couldn't speak or act—only think.

Michael raised his divine sword slowly, its golden glow filling the void. The fear of death gripped the rank 2 demons. Most were terrified, their eyes darting around in panic. But Void, along with a few others, stayed calm. They either accepted their fate or believed they had a way out.

The Ouroboros mark—a symbol of salvation when death was near—could save them, but only if their enemy wasn't fast enough to deliver the killing blow.

Then, there was their mother, the Abyss. Perhaps she had already sent help...

*Shiiir...*

A portal opened in front of Void, and something stepped out. A dark, oppressive aura spread, countering Michael's divine presence.

Void and the other demons were freed from their paralysis and instinctively backed away from the battlefield.

The figure finally emerged.

"Oh, Michael... long time no see," a dark, chilling voice echoed, accompanied by a wave of intense energy.

Suddenly, an overwhelming lust filled the air, but as rank 2 beings, they quickly suppressed it.

"Asmodeus... he's back," Void muttered, his expression darkening. He still remembered when Asmodeus had marked him with a beacon—an encounter he wouldn't soon forget.

Asmodeus, the Sin of Lust, was dangerous beyond measure.

With a slight smile, Asmodeus caught Michael's divine sword between two fingers.

Both beings sported four wings, but unlike the usual black and white wings of angels and demons, theirs radiated a sacred aura, infused with the power of law.

Michael's wings were golden, while Asmodeus' were a deep brown.

"Asmodeus, your clone is here... why? How did you even get here? We're not in the same multiverse," Michael asked, his expression grim as he sheathed his sword and faced his old foe.

"Oh, let's just say I had some help from a friend. I wasn't expecting to meet the legendary archangel himself," Asmodeus chuckled, his horns and four brown wings in full display, a ruby staff gripped in his hand.

"You shouldn't have come here, Asmodeus," Michael warned, his voice filled with a quiet threat.

"And why not?" Asmodeus grinned, his smile widening.

"Because I will kill you," Michael replied, releasing his half-law, the very fabric of reality bending to his will.

While the demons listened to the conversation, a peak-level rank 2 demon suddenly gave a warning.

"RUN!" the demon shouted before disappearing.

"What?" Void was momentarily confused, but instinctively followed, running at full speed.

"Why are we running?" another rank 2 demon asked, still rooted to the spot.

Only a few fled. The rest stayed, watching the battle unfold.

*BOOM...*

A deafening explosion shook the battlefield, and even though Void had run a great distance, he still felt like he was at the center of it. As he glanced back, he saw both Asmodeus and Michael clashing, their laws colliding in a cataclysmic struggle.

Void's body trembled in pain as space itself disintegrated around him.

"Not another one..." Void muttered, pushing himself to run faster.

The second layer of space had been torn open, with the divine plane shattered and erased. They were falling toward the world below.

"This... this is a universe as a planet... shit," Void thought, staring at the massive world beneath them.

It reminded him of the immortal novels he'd read. The planet's size was beyond comprehension.

No wonder Michael was here. This world was too large to ignore.

"Time to fly," Void murmured, spreading his wings—each one over 100 meters long.

His descent slowed as he soared into the vast, overwhelming sky.

"Now... where's that slave?" Void grinned, sensing her location. Thankfully, she wasn't far—only 50,000 light years away.

It would take some time to get there, but Void could afford to wait. After all, Michael and Asmodeus were still locked in combat.

Would be a shame not to know the winner. Though, according to myth, Michael had defeated Lucifer before...

**In the second layer of space...**

The two beings, one golden and the other brown, clashed relentlessly. In this higher plane, more elements existed, capable of forming new laws. While space was dark for most, it was ablaze with power for Michael and Asmodeus.

*BOOM...*

Asmodeus was sent flying, a deep cut on his arm.

"You're still as weak as ever," Michael remarked, pressing his advantage.

"Shut up!" Asmodeus roared, charging back at him with fury.

The roby rod and the sword of Michael clashed as Asmodeous and Michael battled to see who was stronger.

"I will likely lose. This speed..." Asmodeous frowned as he thought. His law was useless—lust couldn't influence Michael, and Michael's speed was overwhelming. He was at a disadvantage here.

Michael weakened his strength momentarily, and Asmodeous pressed forward. Michael slid to his right and slashed out.

Asmodeous quickly used his left hand as a shield.

...slash...

A forearm fell to the ground as they both looked at each other, their movements slowing.

"Not bad," Michael commented, resuming his attack. The Original Sins and the Archangels had been battling since the creation of the world. From the dawn of time, the forces of chaos and the divine had been eternal enemies, locked in combat.

Straight from their main bodies to their various clones, the battle continued.

"You will have to do better," Asmodeous grinned savagely, his forearm regenerating.

"I always hate this regeneration of your demon race," Michael said angrily.

"More like you're jealous of it," Asmodeous taunted his old rival.

Michael accelerated, and they clashed again, this time both suffering injuries. Asmodeous was cut from his torso to his neck, while Michael's hand received a thin, shallow cut.

...boom...

They clashed again, and their battle intensified with each strike, their words recalling old memories as they fought frantically.

"System, what happened? And Asmodeous... how did he get here?" Void asked with concern.

(Host, remember what I told you. The beacon was not one but two. The other was monitoring you.)

"What the... no way," Void said in disbelief.

(Host, don't panic. You will be able to destroy the beacon when you reach Asmodeous' rank.)

"What... System, are you drunk or something? Asmodeous' rank?" Void said with a frown while flying.

(Clone. Quasi Rank 3.)

"Oh, better, but still..." Void sighed in distress as he continued flying.

Two figures stared at each other, silent and calm as their bodies slowly regenerated.

"Another round?" Asmodeous asked with a wide smile.

"There are no more rounds. You will die," Michael said, launching his attack.

"Always so serious," Asmodeous joked, countering with his own strike. Find adventures on empire

Linkir, Shen Ye, and Anya entered the city, and the scene was vastly different. Unlike her village, where slaves were openly sold, here, people were tormented as slaves, treated inhumanely.

Expensively dressed nobles walked past, tormenting the ragged and desperate on the roadside.

"So sad..." Linkir whispered, her voice heavy with emotion.

"Yes, it is, but what can we do? It's like this everywhere," Shen Ye said, his expression unusually serious.

"Yeah," Anya chimed in.

"The villain's castle is here, Auntie," Anya said, dragging Linkir forward as Shen Ye followed.

Linkir looked at the massive castle, anger simmering within her. She recalled the dead eyes of the oppressed people, while the rich hoarded all the wealth.

"Let's go in," Shen Ye said after they took in the sight of the magnificent castle.

"Stop right there. Where's your permit? Without it, you're trespassing, and you will be killed," a guard said, drawing his sword as he spotted them approaching.

Around 20 to 30 guards stood behind him, also drawing their swords.

"Can't you see I have a beautiful girl and a mesmerizing lady with me? I'll teach you some manners," Shen Ye said, cracking his knuckles.

Both Anya, Linkir, and the guards were momentarily confused. That second word—'mesmerizing'—was new to their ears, but the guard had no time to think before Shen Ye punched one of them.

Bones cracked as the guard flew 20 meters, crashing into a wall.

"So cool. Is this the feeling of hitting someone? The feeling of power?" Shen Ye thought to himself, excitement bubbling within as he kept a plain expression on the outside.

A few minutes later, Shen Ye was done, and they all entered the mansion together.

The inside was grand, filled with decorations, art, and slaves—especially young girls tied up and used as mere objects.

"How dare he?" Shen Ye clenched his fists in fury. Anya felt suffocated, her eyes red with emotion, while Linkir felt deep empathy for the enslaved girls, likely being used as toys.

"He is inhuman," Linkir commented as they searched for the culprit. Now Shen Ye and Anya were truly enraged.

Moments later, they overheard voices and followed them.

There, they saw the man responsible, sitting and chatting casually with several young girls.

"You... bastard!" Shen Ye couldn't hold back anymore. Though he often acted like a pervert, he had limits—young girls were off-limits. He grabbed the man by the collar, lifting him off the ground, but five guards immediately appeared. Linkir wasted no time, quickly making her move.

The five guards were high-level, but the man was only an early-level Rank 0.

"Are these the ones you rely on?" Shen Ye asked, watching as Linkir finished off the last guard.

All five were dead. The man, short and average-looking, now trembled in fear. He had lived in wealth all his life and had never been in such a situation before.

"Please! I'll give you anything—money, fame, power, women!" the man pleaded, offering anything he could think of, but each word only made Shen Ye angrier.

"Shut up. Don't you remember my face?" Shen Ye asked coldly, still holding the man in the air.

"No... wait. Aren't you... Shen Ye?" The man's eyes shrank in horror as he finally recognized him, dread filling his face.

"Bingo. You took my work, asked for my sister, and placed a killing order on me. And you do this... with young girls. Disgusting," Shen Ye said, his voice cold, not about to waste more time.

...crack...

The man's neck snapped, and Shen Ye let his body fall. The man Shen Ye had long wanted dead was finally gone.

"Sis, we did it," Shen Ye said, turning to Anya. Finally, Anya couldn't hold it anymore and burst into tears.

"It's okay," Shen Ye comforted her. "Everything will be fine."

"Not everything... my master is coming," Linkir said, causing Shen Ye and Anya to abruptly pull away from their hug.

"What?" they both said, alarmed.
