Chapter 567: Meeting the goddess

Today, other than killing the people of this tribe, he did not do anything else. It was like he is lost.

He is lost in his thoughts, lost in his feeling. He looks up at the sky and he did not know who to pray to. Darkfather…if he is released and kill all of the humans would it sate his anger?

What would it take for him to forget? After today killing, after seeing what he had done and what damage he had wrought with his own eyes, there is fear in his heart

He believed he was just. But now, he began questioning it? And as he looks at the sky, he wanted to pray. 

He wanted to kneel and pray to the Creator.

Astiel might curse the Light in the Church belief, but even he did not dare curse the Creator. 

To Astiel, the Church make use of the name of the Creator so he did not mind cursing the Light in the Church belief.

But the Creator is something that Astiel knew exist and so, he did not have the guts and even he feels gratitude toward the Creator as he knows the majesty of this being.

The question of faith was always about whether the Creator relay exist. After his journey with Astiel, how could he not believe?

He believes. 

But even if he bellies, would the Creator listen to his prayer? 

Killing is a sin in both of the Demon Church and the Church of Light of the Human Continent. 

There are some differences between the Demon Church and the Church of Light but they both agree on this common point.

To kill innocents is a huge sin. 

He sighed. 

For the first time, in a long time, he looks at the sky, look at the twinkling star and he pray with his hand clasped together in front of his chest

And he wishes for guidance. That if there is hope for him, that he shall be granted guidance.

Nothing happened. He looks down at the ground. But then, the wind around him feel warmer. 

And as he looks at the cold hard ground, there is green grass suddenly sprouting from the ground. 

With it a sweet smelling fragrance begins filling the area

'What?' he thought to himself as flowers suddenly appears all around him. 

The flower rises from the ground and bloom all at once, filling the world with sweet smelling fragrance and beauty of life

And as he raises his head, he did not saw the ruins of Alendar and the corpses of the people he had killed

Instead, he saw a field of flowers and green grass that spread out almost infinitely from one horizon to another. 

The feeling of the vastness of space almost overwhelmed Elkar that he felt like he was about to cry.

It was so beautiful.

Life that is.

'Paradise' he mutters to himself. That is the only word that he could think of as he saw the scenery in front of his eyes.

He did not see the Darkspawn and he could no longer see the large hole from where Astiel and Jurgan had venture toward.

It was like he was alone in this beautiful paradise.

The warm wind seems to envelop him and the scent of flowers fills his nose. 

Everything looks beautiful and there is a feeling of calmness in his heart that he found it hard to explain it or even describe it

A feeling he did not know how to describe. But, it is not a bad feeling at all. 

And at once, he knew that he is inside some magic. 

'Where am I?' is his first thought the moment he realizes that he is in some kind of illusion domain. 

He did not panic. He was shocked, yes, but he did panic himself. Calmness and the clarity of mind is very important in this kind of moment

Elkar look all around him. He did not see any lives. 

He could only see green grass and flowers but a she thought of this, he saw butterflies appearing 

It appears from light. 

There is variety of butterflies flying around. 

Some of them were very colorful. Some of them have gray colors but if there is one thing that makes them the same, it was the fact that they each possess powerful life force.

They fly around the flowers and some of them landed on it, opening and closing their wings. 

And even around him, there is butterflies flying, making the already beautiful area to be elevated into something of mystical land, untainted by the dirt and filth of the mortal world

But, before he could even register all of this in his mind, another thing appears. 

The sound of hooves could he heard and he saw a hart galloping around the field of flowers.

A White Hart. When it gallops it was like it was flying in the air. Around it, there is a halo of light

The White Hart glows with white colors like the brightness of a star. And Elkar immediately knows who have brought him to this paradise

'Amara'

Of course, he is wary. He knows that Amara and Astiel and Jurgan have different objectives. 

This must be a trap' He thought to himself.

Another gust of wind passes him by, he closes his eyes.

The flower petals fly up in the air, colorful and sweet fragrance is coming toward him because of the wind

Raising his arm to block the area around his face, he closes his eyes

The wind passes and Elkar lower down his arm and opens his eyes and then his eyes widened.

There is a woman that appears in front of him. 

And the galloping white hart is no longer galloping.

Instead, in that brief second from him raising his arm and close his eyes, now the White Hart is only a few meters away from him, its blue clear eyes are looking at him and the woman is beside the White Hart

She was also looking at him, with a smile on her face that causes Elkar heart to beat fiercely like the war drum pounding before a great march.

'What beauty!' that is his thought. 

Her eyes are blue like the calm sky. 

Her skin is shimmering with white light, appearing to be almost translucent and appears as smooth as silk.

There is mischievousness in her eyes, yet at the same time there is this pureness in it that make anyone could not avert their gaze from that eye.

It is a contradiction that seems harmonious

That pair of eyes looks like it could see through Elkar with one glance. This woman had a long hair flowing down to her hips, with the color of a pure white snow.

She is floating in the air, caressing the back of the White Hart. 

Her arm is clad in the purest shimmering samite, as her entire body seems to glow even more brightly, like the light that would shone away all darkness in the world.

Her dress is colored in blue and emanated a sense of majesty and power. 

Because of the seraphic runes that is embedded into Elkar eyes by Astiel, he could see that the blue dress is actually water element that is used to create this dress.josei

She is barefoot but her feet are wet. 

The moment she appeared the area around them seems to have more depth. This depth did not mean the land become deeper or something like that

Instead, it felt like this is no longer an illusion. Like it become more real.

That is what he means by saying that the area around him to have more depth. Like a painting that has been given life

Before, it was beautiful. But there is this fakeness to it.

But now, there is this feeling that it had become real. 

And the surrounding also has changed to include many more things

It was like true life was breathed in in this illusion.

If before, it looks like a simple vast vistas of flower fields and vast green plains, now as this woman appeared, there is now a lake that appeared behind the White Hart and that lady.

The lake is vast and the water is clear. Life force seems to concentrate itself upon the water of that lake

Lush forest grew up in matter of seconds as all around Elkar the area now turns into a secluded forest.

All kinds of animals appear and deer, snakes and all kinds of living beings would come near the lake and take a sip of that water lake.

The lake seems to support the life of all the living being inside the forest. Elkar however even after such a display of magical sights was calm

He was not even afraid and he did not kneel. He knows who this woman is that could elicit such fierce reaction to his heart

This woman is probably none other than the Goddess of Love Amara.
