Meanwhile, Fish Ball, Rice Cake and Noodle were making their way across the grass plains when an elderly white cat caught up to them, “Hey, aren’t you the newcomers? Hi, my name is Carrot but you can call me Grandpa Carrot.

I’m reminding the three of you to never ever belittle us, the plantation department. Even though most cats on the island do so, they forget that our department is the very foundation on which this island is built upon. All the grains and vegetables that the cats eat come from our hard work!

Even though you are assigned to this department because of your somewhat weaker abilities, I do not want you to feel discouraged. Power isn’t everything. Without a potent power, you can still achieve success with a positive mindset and a relentless attitude.”

However, those words were getting on Fish Ball’s nerves as his face scrunched into a grimace, “D*mn it! After all, I am the Daniel Wu of the cat kingdom, how dare that silly old cat randomly dispatch me into this useless place.”

Fish Ball could never erase the scene from his head when he demonstrated his power. The entire hall broke out into a chorus of laughter, led by none other than that mean Cat Sage.

“These bunch of b*stards! I swear to god that I will climb and crawl my way up to the very top of the island. Then, everyone will have to look up to me with admiration and fear!”

“Alright, stop wallowing in self-pity because you got sent here because of your lousy ability. We are all part of a huge, loving family. I assure you that there will be zero discrimination.” Carrot attempted to encourage them when he noticed the paper documenting their powers.

“Hmph, glow, speak and body vibration?” Carrot stroked his chin thoughtfully before concluding, “Alright, we shall just split the load according to your powers. Rice Cake, you are in charge of loosening the soil. Fish Ball, you shall illuminate the place during the night. Noodle, you are basically in charge of everything else.”

Noodle’s blood boiled as he retorted, “Are you bloody kidding me? Didn’t you just mention that you don’t discriminate according to our superpower? Why am I responsible for all the remaining work? This is a blatant discrimination!”

The white cat seemed oblivious to Noodle’s scream. Instead, he simply slapped his paws together before sliding Noodle a nonchalant glance, “Alright, since there are no disagreements, we shall end our meeting.”

“D*mn it! This guy has prejudice written across his stupid face!” Noodle could hardly contain the raging anger erupting within him. He swept his head around only to realize that Carrot was not the only prejudiced one around. The rest of them had already assumed a nonchalant expression before sliding a condescending glare in his direction.

Noodle could only bank his hopes on the one remaining cat as he cocked his head towards Fish Ball, “Fish Ball, let’s go! I can’t take this anymore. We will talk to Cat Sage and request for a change in the department.”

However, Fish Ball was already surrounded by the troves of female cats belonging to the plantation department, as moans and laughter echoed in their direction.

Fish Ball wagged his paws towards Noodle and commented, “I don’t even know this stupid dog. He reeks of the stench of garbage. Who would even want to be close to him? Meowhahaha!”

“That’s right, Fish Ball. You should not go anywhere near those silly dogs. On our island, they’re only qualified to become our slaves. Nothing more than that.”

“Get out, you silly dog! You are not worthy to stay inside this house!”

Noodle could not believe the words of discrimination pouring into his ears. He turned his head around to a sea of sinister laughter coupled with condescending glares. For a split second, he understood, “It’s never about my ability. They are laughing at me because of my species. They despise my dog bloodline!”

Fish Ball noticed the despondent Noodle in the corner of his eyes and whispered to himself, “I’m so sorry silly dog. I have no choice but to sacrifice your self-esteem in my ascent towards the top of the food chain.”

Noodle instantly plunged into despair. Even though the poison had already dissipated from his body, he could still feel the agonizing pain tearing through him.

He turned his head towards Rice Cake, out of concern, only to see her body shriveled in a corner. She was like a lifeless flower devoid of the nourishment of water, dried and withered.

“Rice Cake! What happened to you?” Noodle rushed forward and cupped her face in his paws, “Rice Cake, who did this to you?”

“Inter ... Internet,” Slowly, Rice Cake opened her bloodshot eyes as she continued murmuring, “I need internet.”

“You are addicted!” Noodle was left speechless by her nonsensical behavior, “Just one day without internet and you’re a shell of your past!”

Sensing the hostility in the air, Noodle chose to pick Rice Cake off the ground before bringing her outside. With a bucket full of water, he splashed them all on Rice Cake’s body in an attempt to jolt her to her senses.

Seeing the drenched Rice Cake, Noodle felt as though she had expanded a little.

Suddenly, the tremors returned to the island. However, Noodle didn’t seem to be affected by the shaking at all. He was oblivious to it.

“Come to think of it, it felt like nothing when I lifted Rice Cake off the ground. I’ve felt unusually strong the moment the effects of the poison wore off.”

With that, Noodle decided to put his physical conditioning to the test.

Initially, he began with a run. With a few strides, all that was left were his shadows as his body disappeared off towards the horizon.

“That’s incredible! My speed is crazy fast!” Even Noodle himself was taken aback by his supersonic speed. However, he was not about to stop. Instead, he continued with his experimentation. He sank his razor-sharp claws into the earth and created a 1-meter deep hole in a matter of seconds.

“My strength and stamina have improved considerably!”

“Why did this happen?”

The husky was burning with curiosity. Suddenly, an unorthodox idea popped into his head,” Don’t tell me it’s because of that thing I ate in the toilet this morning ... curry?”

Suddenly, his eyes began to twinkle with excitement. In retrospect, he could clearly identify the feelings he experienced throughout the entire ordeal.

“I managed to acquire a superpower after accidentally ingesting curry?” Noodle had been wallowing in self-pity since the day he learned about his lack of superpower. However, this serendipitous discovery caused his eyes to blaze with anticipation, “Maybe my strength requires me to take in curry in order to grow stronger?”

Suddenly, his ears gave a slight shudder. Then, two cats emerged from the bushes as they sauntered off into the distance. They looked so relaxed and at ease. By straining his ears, he could even pick up their conversation.

“I finally managed to get it out. It has been stuck inside me for days!”

“Meowhaha! Who told you to eat that stuff off the ground?”

A flicker of determination flashed across Noodle’s eyes as he observed the cats disappeared into the distance.

“In order to save everyone, in order to escape from this island ... even if it’s curry ... I have to ...”

Immediately, Noodle was possessed with a clear goal as he pounced into the bushes with a faint smile painted across his face.

...

Boom ... boom. The Cat Sage who had turned into his rat form could acutely detect the tremors of the ground, “Why is the earthquake increasing in frequency? What the hell is going on? Also, the efficiency of the aerolite is dropping. Has it reached its physical limit?”

Meanwhile, Cheese, Kimchi, and six other supercats were lying in the grand hall as they basked in the magical effects of the aerolite.

Furtively, Cheese shot Cat Sage a glance as he thought, “I always thought that Rice Cake would share similar powers to me. Never mind. She will at least be safe as long as she stays on the island. A lifetime of peace and tranquility awaits her.”

Suddenly, a Dragon Li came running over, “Cat Sage, Cat Sage! A disaster!”

With his forehead furrowed, Cat Sage asked, “What happened?”

“Some ... someone had managed to break through the fog. They are in our territory!”

While Cat Sage was deeply engrossed in the Dragon Li’s report, Nekomata had secretly levitated to the middle of the grand hall, with his eyes glued to that mysterious aerolite. His eyes were brimming with curiosity.

“I want to touch that thing so badly. I wonder what it feels like.”
