Chapter 94: Battle Royale!

An instant after instructor Leonardo said those words, Elliot, Theo, and Sylas moved, appearing on the arena in the blink of an eye. Elliot looked at Sylas, and he greeted him with a slight nod of his head. Seeing that they were already there, John also hurriedly stepped past the participants walking up the stairways to the arena and grouped up with Elliot and Theo.

“Some of you guys might be wondering why I called you all up here, right?” Leonardo said, “Well, since we are running out of time and there are still eighty participants left, I have decided to host a battle royale! The rules of this matchup are the same as the battles before. Just that, your rankings will be based on when you get disqualified. The last fifty participants will get a life-saving item and the chance to explore the unexplored settlement of the ancient civilization. The last one standing on this stage will be the winner of this bout, and he will get an additional reward.”

Most of the first-year students felt that it is unfair because the second-years were not only more powerful than them, but their group was even bigger than theirs. The second-year students will undoubtedly work together to eliminate weaklings like them before infighting. Not only were the chances of them winning less than zero, but the probability of them getting in the top fifty ranking was in the negative. They sighed and decided to fight, hoping for a miracle that will help them get in the top fifty.

A strong gust of wind suddenly fluttered the clothes of instructor Leonardo, and he started to hover above the ground. Once he reached high up in the air, he said in a loud voice, “Are you guys ready?!”

“Bring it on!” One of the king’s trusted aids said out loud, hands clenched in a fist and an aura of dominance spreading out of his body, raising gusts of winds that pushed back the participants near him by a few steps.

“Been a long time since I loosened up,” Eliseo said while rubbing his shoulders with a dull expression on his tattooed face.

Marshall, a second-year executive, took off his glasses and stored them in his chest pocket, then said, “I’m fired up.”

Immediately after, fire swirled around his body, melting the ground and increasing the temperature in the surrounding by so much that the students near him started to sweat like crazy.

“Instructor, let the hunt begin!” Linda said while eyeing Elliot with a thirsty and vengeful look.

Many students said one word or another to express the excitement bubbling up in their hearts.

“Let’s team up and defeat the others before fighting each other to determine the winner,” Elliot said to them.

“Count me in!” John said in a slightly excited voice.

“Alright,” Theo said as he moved his hand to his face to remove his eyeglasses.

Elliot grabbed his hand, stopping from doing that. “Don’t do it.”

Theo glanced at him, then lowered his hand without saying a word.

“The battle royale will begin after the count of three!” Instructor Leonardo said, and then he started to count three to one out loud.

“1!”

Linda’s supernatural cells started to greedily store the magic energy in her body.

“2!”

Countless white specks manifested in the center of her palms, swirling and joining with each other, slowly condensing into the shape of a bright silver ball packing massive destructive powers.

“3!”

The moment that word left instructor Leonardo’s mouth, Linda was left with no magic energy in her body. Instead, a silver body capable of obliterating a magician in the channel opening stage has condensed in her palm, releasing a shine so bright and pressure so great that the weak students nearby were blinded and suppressed to their knees.

“Elliot!” Linda said out loud, then Elliot looked towards her and saw a silver ball capable of killing a magician in the peak of the energy channel opening stage.

“What is it, ugly bitch?” Elliot said with a taunting smile on his face as his eyes glistened in bright gold and the image of an impenetrable shield popped up in his mind. Right after, the godly matrix on his soul devoured a large amount of his essence of life in order to manifest the picture in his mind into reality.

<-200 essence of life>

Linda’s eyes twitched, and she viciously said, “Go to hell, you bastard!”

She released the ball in her hand, and it shoots towards Elliot like a laser beam. It was so fast that it left behind a trail of silver light as it dawned on Elliot.

“Elliot…”

As Lisa saw the most vicious attack of her rival charging towards Elliot with speed so extreme that her eyes couldn’t keep up with it, the color drained from her face, and her heart nearly jumped out of her chest in worry. The speed of her attack was too fast, and Elliot couldn’t dodge it. Lisa knew that he was powerful enough to defeat several magicians in the channel opening stage, but Linda’s attack was capable of destroying buildings and even shooting an eye-grabbing hole through a skyscraper.

Fearing that he would definitely be injured, her eyes closed subconsciously in fear for his life, and she prayed in her heart, hoping that nothing would happen to him.

The blue beam blasted towards Elliot, releasing silver wind residue that crashed on a few unlucky participants and blasted them out of the arena.

WHOOSH

Before it reached him, however, Elliot raised his hand, and a large amount of golden energy burst out of his hand, taking the shape of three hexagonal shields that joined together with his left palm, enchanting its defensive capability to another level and giving it energy control capabilities in the split of a second.

BOOM

WHOOSH

A terrifying blast sounded out in the ears of everyone present in the arena and the surrounding area when the silver ball of light crashed on top of his golden palm. A blinding silver glow encompassed Elliot and a small area around him, covering him from everyone’s eyes, making them unable to see what is happening in the area of impact.
