Chapter 95: Futility of the weak!

“Hahaha! That’s what you get for angering me! My silver ball of obliteration isn’t like a bomb. It’s more like a torture device. You fool, you will feel it scorching your skin, shattering all of your bones, melting your veins and organs before you turn to dust! By the time the blinding silver shine dies, there will be no traces left of Elliot in this world! Hahahaha!” Linda, the merciless and cruel lady, said while laughing at the top of her lungs.

She already believed herself to be the winner. Victory is mine. These words filled her thoughts. There was no way a hillbilly was going to survive the attack of a princess like her, after all!

Suddenly, all such thoughts in her mind came crashing down as the calm and taunting voice of the man she wanted to obliterate sounded out of the bright silver glow, reaching everyone’s ears, surprising Linda to the point her eyes widened so much that her eyeballs threatened to pop out of their sockets.

“Oh, really? Then, why am I only feeling the need to wipe that smug off your face?” Elliot said after stopping the raging silver ball with his right palm, still finding himself inside an area of pure white.

“How is that possible?! You should be screaming out in pain and breathing your last! How can you still sound fine?!” Linda said, unable to believe that he sounds fine.

Her attack had the power to pulverize even an entire building, but she intentionally changed it to a single target attack to give Elliot the most painful death!

Yet, he still sounds fine!

Simply inconceivable!

“Heh! If such a weak attack could kill me, then my name wouldn’t have been Elliot.” He smiled as he looked at the silver ball that he stopped by pinching it in between his forefinger and thumb. His eyes brightened in a mischievous glint, then threads made out of godly golden energy swirled out of his hand that was enchanted by three hexagonal shields and wrapped around the silver ball, reducing its shine as well as imprisoning it.

When the glow vanished, the eyes of Linda, Headmaster Gerald, instructor Nina Olsen, instructor Leonardo, Lisa, the startled participants, Theo, John, and the onlooker widened in disbelief, and their jaws threatened to drop to touch the ground as they speechlessly stared at him playing catch with the silver ball of obliteration.

“Am I seeing things? Or is this truly happening?” Marshall said, and the king’s aid rubbed his eyes in disbelief, only to see that Elliot was still pinching the silver ball of obliteration.

“Pinch yourself, and you will know,” Eliseo said with a calm expression on his face, but his shaky voice filled with disbelief highlighted the fact that he was mentally disturbed to the point of losing his composure and his sense of reality.

Marshall pinched his waist and exclaimed out in pain, then said, “Holy shit, this is not a nightmare but reality! A magician in the magical realm managed to stop the strongest attack of the eldest princess of the third strongest magician family by pinching it!!!!!”

The second-year executive, Marshall, Eliseo, the kings’ aid, and many students knew how powerful Linda’s ball of obliteration was as they have seen it in action before, so did the ones who didn’t know about it, as they could determine its destructive might due to the sheer pressure emitting out of it. Most of them, including John and Theo, subconsciously stepped away from Elliot. Yet there he was, playing with a weapon of great might as if it was some kind of Pokeball in front of their eyes.

Simply unbelievable!

His overpowering act brought PIN-DROP Silence to the arena.

A few moments later, once the crowd registered what was happening, they burst out in cheers, hailing Elliot at the top of their lungs.

Feeling that the cheers were a bother, Elliot merely raised his left hand, and the crowd closed their mouths, showing that in this world where the weak respect the strong, Elliot has gained the position of the strong.

“Impossible…”

When she saw how he was playing around with her attacks, Linda felt the ground slipping from under her feet. Her fragile mentality shattered like a glossy vase. Along with that, his overpowering strength also sweeps away her baseless pride and overbearing arrogance, making her truly feel ignorant and powerless.

In front of the strong, the weak can only lower their heads. After all, the weaklings can not hurt the truly strong ones, no matter how they bare their claws and fangs.

She was the weak one at this moment, while he was a heavenly wall that she could never hope to breach.

Even if her nails shatter, even if her fingers and palms turn as red as blood, she wouldn’t be able to budge this wall. That’s what she felt at this moment, a feeling of powerlessness in front of absolute strength.

He made her realize the futility of the weak!

“Nothing is impossible for me,” Elliot said as his provocative gaze swept past the students standing beside Linda.

“What are you looking at, You Damn Bastard! So, what if you blocked the attack of my young miss. I’m not afraid of you!” One of the members of Linda’s group barked out at him.

“…”

Linda and her high-class friends thought that the magician her family enrolled in the academy to protect Linda truly does not know the difference between Heaven and Earth.

Elliot smiled at his words, and his smile widened when he saw his legs shaking uncontrollably, and one look at Elliot’s face told the onlookers with human blood on their hands that the crazy smiled plastered on his face belonged to a psychopathic killer. It was a smile a hunter makes when they are sure to get a kill. It was a smile a sane person wouldn’t be making while looking at another human.

Even instructor Nina felt a bit scared of his smile, and she couldn’t help but think about what has changed the kind, gentle, and bright six-year-old Elliot in her mind to the person in front of her.
