75 A Turn of Events
Alex, watching from the second floor, witnessed the unfolding drama with a mix of disbelief and dread.
He saw Emma taking a sip from the champagne and Lillian’s smug satisfaction, not realizing the true
nature of the scene.
Lillian, believing her plan was in motion, followed Emma, expecting to witness her downfall. However,
the situation took an unexpected turn. As Emma and Lillian neared the restroom, suddenly collapsed,
feigning the effects of the drug.

take compromising photos of Emma, aiming to tarnish her reputation irreparably.

“As planned, take Emma upstairs. But remember, we need the payment first,” the men demanded,

Reluctantly, Lillian transferred half the promised amount, anxious about crossing paths with Wayne.
She then mingled with the guests downstairs, creating an alibi for herself.
However, her plan unraveled as she was summoned upstairs. Nervously, she followed the server, only
to be ambushed by the same men she had hired. Lillian’s fear escalated as they dragged her to the
room intended for Emma.
Inside, Lillian was shocked out of her wits to find Emma, poised and unharmed, sitting elegantly on a
couch. Emma confronted her, her voice cold and controlled.
Why y run, Lillian? Isn’t this what you prepared for me? Now, let’s see how you handle your own
scheme,” Emma said, forcing the spiked champagne into Lillian’s mouth.
Lillian struggled, tears streaming down her face as she realized the gravity of her situation. Emma,
unmoved by Lillian’s plight, watched as she was forced to swallow the drug–laden drink.
“You orchestrated this, Lillian. Now, you must face the consequences. I won’t broadcast the video, but
I’ll make sure your brother sees the kind of person you really are,” Emma declared, her voice tinged
with disgust.
