Chapter 462: Barrier

Chapter 462: Barrier

Chapter 462: Barrier

Atop the Red Peak Mountain, there was only Wang Ling. He was seated before the tree, silent, with a smile, the softest he had shown in this life. He was at peace, reminiscing about the past he had spent with the first family who accepted him.

Pleasant and peaceful, it had been a long time since he felt this way when remembering them. The tragedy of the past scarred him, but he once again found his peace.

"We should leave him be, for the time being," Qinyang said as she stepped away from Wang Ling. The others did not say anything, for they could see that his emotions at a state of tranquility, his usual edge dissipated.

The other five moved to leave Wang Ling be.

"So, he had a Master?" Chang Ping quietly looked back at Wang Ling, "I thought he was nothing but a prodigy? I thought it was self-thought I knew Master had secrets, but, I think he's even more of a"

Chang Ping stopped, remembering the name Wang Ling used before, "Wang Wudi hahahaha so it was like that?" Chang Ping laughed as she realized something so obvious.

All the while Chang Ping was busily connecting the dots, and Roan was sleeping off the hangover, the three Deities were looking around.

"This place hasn't changed a bit, and it seems the formation reacted to Wang Ling without a problem." Yuan Qing commented as she remembered reading about this place before.

"I agree, though we're lucky, for us to enter this place without being torn to shreds is quite possibly the best thing Wang Ling had done for us." Yuan Ming stated.

"Wait, what do you both mean by lucky of not being torn apart?" Chang Ping who overhead their conversation asked with cold sweat already forming on her back.

The twins looked at Chang Ping then at each other. They contemplated if they were allowed to speak of the matter

"It is not a problem, you two. We're already here." Qinyang urged the twins.

The twins finally gained the answer they wanted, "Okay, to answer you question, this place is a special location to the Mother as this was given to her by the Wang Family who ruled over the Frost Domain. This place, according to legend was something the All-Father cherished for something, which we now know because this seems to be the resting place of his Master and fellow disciples.

"When the Mother gained this place, she stayed here for three years, which, you would know as the time she spent time grieving for her beloved's death. She stayed here, watching over the stars, protecting it, fed it with her own qi, allowing it to grow.

"Eventually, however, she knew she had to move on and left. But, fearing the invasion of others, however, the Mother decided to place a barrier. This barrier could only be entered by her and the All-Father, thus, she used an item deeply related to the All-Father as an anchor and judge on who could enter it. If this judge does not react to you, then you will die, this barrier will only disappear once the All-Father enters the barrier."

The twins' very long explanation finally ended and by the end of it, Chang Ping and the others were all glad that Wang Ling was the first to step into the lands of Mountain. They finally calmed down.

But, Chang Ping had one last question, "What is the item the Mother of Beast, used?"

To this, the twins responded with, "I don't know, no one said what it was." They didn't really know.

Yuan Ming ignored Chang Ping's doubtful gaze "Anyway, I had always thought this place would be more magical, considering how much the mother treated this place with so much care I do not see its radiance. Qinyang, what do you think?"

"It's the same as before," Qinyang answered with a yawn.

Night came to be and then the next morning came, no one bothered Wang Ling leaving him be of his own volition, kowtowing before the giant Crimson Flower Tree, he spoke, "I will return."

Wang Ling already knew that by the time he visits this place would be when he corrects all the mistakes the previous incarnation left for him, "It might take a couple thousand of years from now, but I'll try my best... hmm? It's already sunrise? I dawdled for too long."

Wang Ling said with a smile. The wind blew and he was just about to leave when, light from the rising sun pierced his back and reflected something underneath the roots of the tree. Approaching the strange appearance, Wang Ling crouched down and found a white metal sticking out.

"What is this?" Wang Ling dug it out and found a sword stabbed to the ground, and next to that sword was a dirty black bag made of unknown cloth. There was a piece of paper tied to it on the strings of the black bag, "For a fool."

Quickly, Wang Ling opened the bag, disregarding anything and everything and inside the bag, he found red sword fragments and another piece of paper. At this time, Wang Ling sat there, with a smile attached to his face.

Wang Ling opened the paper and found uneven handwriting

~If you're reading this, then that would you are the only idiot I know to disregard the words of this powerful being though if I'm not wrong, you wouldn't even know that I set something like that so how have you been, Ling?~

Wang Ling's grip on the paper tightened.

~Bah, who am I kidding? You should be fine if you're reading this, so, your body, is it a new one, or is it the same as before? Anyway, enough about that, this bag contains the sword fragments we were searching for all those years ago. That should be the rest of them, the other pieces that are missing were already integrated into your Reaper and Heaven's Will, right? I hope if you find this, it's useful for you. If you're reading this, I hope you're not dying, and if I am not by your side right now. ~

Wang Ling squinted his eyes, the bottom of the paper was smudged by liquid that had fallen upon it when it was written. But, Wang Ling could make out the characters.

~ please find me I want to go on an adventure with you again please come back it's lonely without you~

"Don't worry it won't be long before we reunite. Xue it won't be long... I promise."

The paper soon became damp.
