Chapter 668 The Second Godly Challenge Right
Chapter 668 The Second Godly Challenge Right
...
Just was trying to grab Cloe's wrist so that he could prevent Cloe from moving away from him. But before his hand could even reach her, a firm hand suddenly grabbed his own wrist and prevented him from touching her.
Then a cold voice suddenly sounded beside him as he was trying to pull his hand. "Where do you think you are putting that filthy hand on?"
Justin tried to pull his hand away but he discovered that the owner of the hand grabbing his wrist refused to budge.
Seeing that, Justin couldn't help but frown his eyebrows before turning his head towards the person who dared to stop him. And that was when he saw Shin who was staring back at him with his cold eyes.
At the same time, Cloe also saw him and immediately became worried after seeing the look that he currently had. "Shin."
"And who the hell are you?" asked Justin with an arrogant tone as he put more strength on his right arm to free it from Shin's grasp.
Unfortunately, Shin just ignored him and turned his head to Cloe. "Who is this guy? And why is he harassing you?"
Seeing that he was being ignored, Justin suddenly punched with his left hand, which also looked like a demon's arm.
Swoosh!
But hit nothing but air as Shin casually avoided it by leaning his body backward. And right after dodging, Shin suddenly grabbed his sheathed sword before pointing its hilt towards Justin and flicking his thumb on it.
Shing!
With those actions, the sword was suddenly unsheathed and flew straight to Justin's face with its hilt heading first.
Despite the sudden counterattack, Justin was still able to place his other arm in front of his face and blocked Shin's sword. And right after blocking it, he quickly pushed the sword back and sent it back to its sheath.
But at the same time, Shin was already moving the sheath forward and catching the sword in the air before striking Justin with it while also striding forward to increase the force behind his attack.
Bang!
This time, Justin knew that he would not be able to block this strike since Shin perfectly timed his attack. And due to that, he was forced to jump away from his current position to avoid getting hit by that strike.
When his feet touched the ground once again, Justin quickly raised his head and looked at Shin with glaring eyes. "Now, I remembered. You are that Ranker who gains some reputation recently."
He then looked at Shin from head to toe before saying. "But from the looks of it, the rumors about you are just some overexaggerated evaluations."
Hearing that, Shin couldn't help smirking a little before rolling his shoulders and saying. "How about we give it a try to know whether it is just an exaggeration or not."
"Shin." Cloe suddenly grabbed Shin's cloak when she heard that. She was quite worried about Shin since she knew how strong his current opponent was.
She was confident that Shin was able to handle himself against most of the top experts, she was still not sure if he could really go against the players on the Godlike Ranking List. Moreover, Justin was ranked fifth in that list, so he is comparable to Arthur and Leonard who were ranked second and sixth respectively.
Understanding what she was thinking, Shin suddenly turned to her and patted her head while reassuring her. "Don't worry, I can at least handle this much for you."
Cloe stared blankly at Shin for a moment as what he just said lingered inside her head. Then her face slowly turned red before dodging his gaze. "What are you talking about? I just want you not to overdo too much."
Seeing their interaction, the expression on Justin's face suddenly turned dark before charging at Shin with insane speed while also taking out halberd and swinging it downwards when he arrived in front of the latter.
Clang!
Unfortunately, Shin managed to block it with ease by positioning his sheathed sword in front of that descending blade of the halberd.
Justin couldn't help but knit his eyebrows when he saw that Shin was able to block his strike easily. Even if he didn't put much strength on that swing, it was still more than enough to obliterate most of the players of the game.
Then that was when he saw Shin looking straight into his eyes while saying "I heard from those people earlier that you are a famous Godlike Player. So, how about we settle this properly in a one-on-one duel?"
His voice was neither loud nor quiet. But given that the bystanders were currently quite silent due to their previous confrontation, his words were heard by everyone loud and clear.
Everyone was quiet for quite some time as his words lingered in the air for a few moments before every player in the vicinity went crazy!
"What!? Did I just hear it right? The Demon God Justin is being challenged in a duel by Sickarius, the Angel of Death and the Emperor of the Night?"
"Holy Sh*t! This is crazy! This is going to be a huge hit!"
"Did Sickarius hit his head or something? How can he challenge a bona fide Godlike Player who is ranked fifth in the Godlike Ranking List?"
"To be honest, I am not surprised anymore! He is even crazy enough to challenge Immortal before!"
In the meantime, Arthur couldn't help but shake his head once again before commenting. "Look at this guy, he always says that he doesn't want to be in the spotlight but he keeps on stepping at its center all the time."
Leonard also shook his head and smiled bitterly when he heard Arthur's comment. He then turned his attention to the equipment that Shin was currently wearing. "From what I can see, Shin Bro is just eager to test his upgraded equipment."
"What just happened just fueled his eagerness to fight," he added with a bitter tone.
Hearing that, Arthur also turned his attention to Shin's equipment and saw that he was not wearing a seven-piece equipment set. "Hoh~! Looks like the upgrade of his equipment is quite successful. Even his weapon is giving off a little more vibe than before."
"Not only that. I also heard that Big Brother also has another set aside from that one he is currently wearing," chimed in Chaotic Luck as he finally arrived beside the two.
Arthur gave him a sidelong glance before saying. "You are late. We were already about to start earlier when that guy suddenly showed up and started hogging all the fun for himself."
Chaotic Luck gave him a skeptical look before refuting. "Aren't you the one who asked me to go get Big Brother earlier?"
"Did I? How come I can't remember saying that?" asked Arthur with an expression on his face that seemed to be trying to dodge the question.
While they were converging with each other, the standoff between Shin and Justin continued for a few moments before the latter suddenly laughed and said smirkingly. "Heh! Do you think you are some sort of a bigshot after defeating Immortal in a default match?"
"And now you are trying to use your Godly Challenge Rights against me?" he asked with a sneering tone before putting more strength on his arms to press his halberd on Shin more.
On the other hand, Shin responded with equal strength to withstand the pressing force that he was getting from Justin. "Heh! You are talking big yet you are too scared to accept such a simple challenge."
Then the look on his face suddenly turned cold as he said with a threatening tone. "If that is the case, then you better get out of our sights right now and don't bother Cloe ever again."
This time, the expression on Justin's face immediately became much darker as he glared at Shin while asking. "Who are you to decide that for her?"
Then he looked at Cloe who was hiding behind Shin before saying. "Cloe, tell this b*st*rd to stay away from our business!"
Unfortunately for him, Cloe further hid behind Shin when she heard those words while tightly grabbing at the edge of his cloak. And when Justin saw that, he became even more enraged and suddenly glared at Shin.
After that, he quickly pulled his halberd back to gain a little more space to move before quickly swinging it to Shin as fast as he could.
From the look of it, he was trying to separate Shin and Cloe from each other given the trajectory of his swing.
"Heh!"
But despite seeing how strong the force behind that swing was, Shin just smirked at Justin before swiftly unsheathing his sword and swinging at the incoming halberd.
Clang!
Metal sparks flew in the air as the blades of their weapons came in contact with each other. And at the same time, a strong gale of wind was sent in every direction due to that collision.
Seeing that Shin was able to counter each of Justin's attacks repeatedly, the bystanders couldn't help but start discussing with each other as they felt that Shin seemed to be much stronger than battle clips that they had seen before.
Overhearing their discussions, Justin suddenly frowned his eyebrows even deeper as he felt that he was being embarrassed in front of everyone, especially in front of Cloe.
Having those thoughts in mind, Justin had no other choice but to accept Shin's challenge to prove himself. "Since you are really persistent, then let's decide this one in a Deathmatch!"
