?
Waritala went silent for a moment before continuing. "That does happen, but that is because normal Werdlem Stones aren't as deeply connected to the body as Divine Werdlem Stones. They are two completely different levels of integration. Besides, it is not us who makes the swap, but the Werdlem System itself. Probably not even the Supreme Palace knows the entire process."
Rean was still unconcerned. "Seems like you still don't believe me."
Waritala had reason to do so. "I don't... but I am willing to give you a chance to prove yourself. The cultivation path is endless, and geniuses appear everywhere. Perhaps you truly have a method to make it work. So, I will give you a chance. Show me how you do it, and I will consider your offer."
Rean didn't mind, but he had his conditions. "That is not a problem, but there is an issue. To show you that, I will need someone to serve as a guinea pig. Can you find someone with a Divine Werdlem Stone willing to take this operation?"
Waritala faintly smiled. "Oh, is that the issue? No worries, I can get you someone in a flash." She stopped midair and took out her CD. After making a few calls, she put it away, looking back at Rean and Roan. "There should be one delivered to my house in around an hour."
Rean and Roan had to admit they didn't expect that. "How did you get someone from the Divine Realm to accept such a thing?"
"Accept?" Waritala snorted. "This is nothing but a prisoner, and he will not see the light of the day again even if you manage to swap his Werdlem Stone correctly. Go wild and do what you have to. What comes next is up to me."
Roan narrowed his eyes. He finally caught something different in Waritala's words but didn't say anything.
"Is that really fine to kill the guy that easy?" Rean asked, concerned. He couldn't say he was happy with that approach either.
Waritala nodded. "It is fine. It was someone already scheduled for execution in the coming week. However, such bodies still have some use, so they are kept for a while in case there is a need, like now."
Roan contacted Rean. 'Stop your bullshit and just accept it. We are not part of the human rights movement or anything like that. If you don't want to do it, then let's just take the ship and go to another cluster and try again. If you truly want to carry this deal, then don't make unnecessary questions. One more thing, she seems to be hiding something about this prisoner, so if you take this deal, be careful.'
Rean sighed but accepted in the end. "Alright, that I can do. I'm not going to show you the process, though. Just like the Werdlem Empire has its secret for Werdlem Stone Swapping, so do I. Just do something to the guy so you are absolutely sure he is the right one when you see him again."
Waritala couldn't say she was happy with that since it also meant she would be able to see what would happen to her when her time arrived. But then again, she was feeling like killing herself already after being in this Mortal World for so long that she decided to go ahead with it. "Fine. Let's go back to my mansion."
Sometime later, the prisoner was brought to Waritala's house, and was allowed inside by the guards. Waritala then passed an order that no one was to bother her for the rest of the day, closing the mansion and even sending the few personnel she had out.
The guy had some kind of black goggles that also covered his ears. Rean was able to easily identify it as some equipment that blocked not only his vision and hearing but also his Divine Sense. As for cultivation, he was blocked in the Werdlem Network, so he couldn't use it anyway. "So, who is he?"
"Who cares?" Waritala didn't even want to talk. Instead, she threw a Divine Werdlem Stone to Rean, one without an owner. "Just do what you have to do. Use this stone so I can be sure it is the same."
Rean sighed and nodded. He touched the guy's shoulder, and both he and Rean disappeared. Roan, on the other hand, stayed outside, watching Waritala.
"So you do have a Pocket Dimensional Realm..." Waritala commented. "I felt its existence when we first met, but I was in doubt since you two are only in the Transition Realm." Roan didn't explain. He simply raised his hand, and he interacted with the Spatial Powers in its surroundings. "Does it answer your question?" As everyone believed, the reason Pocket Dimensional Realms only existed for Void Tempering Realm experts and above was that only at that level could one control space. That's the card Roan played here, although they always had a Dimensional Realm since very early.
Waritala took a deep breath. "To be able to control Spatial Powers at the Transition Realm... Or you were some old geezer who lost your cultivation, or your talent is truly remarkable. I only met a handful of Transition Realm experts who could do the same while young."
"It's the first option. We did indeed lose our cultivation. That's all I can tell you at the moment."
"Obviously," Waritala nodded. "Do you think I would believe otherwise? That other guy said he could swap Werdlem Stones. There is no way some brat would have that ability."
In the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, Rean brought the guy to a table where he could work. From the very start, the prisoner was unconscious, so it wasn't hard to manage him around. "Well, friend, you are quite unlucky. Or perhaps you are lucky instead since people like you seem to be used as guinea pigs for other experiments. Anyway, let's start with it." Rean was confident, but the only change he had done until now was from a normal Werdlem Stone to a Divine one. He hadn't swapped a Divine for another Divine yet. At the very start of the operation, he saw a huge difference. "Sure enough, there are truly many more connections... Well, I'm already in the Transition Realm, so it isn't a problem for me." As if that wasn't even worth considering a challenge, Rean started to work on the guy.
