Chapter 133

Chapter 133

133 Fleeing

Blake was definitely startled when he saw the outline of the variant type demon suddenly twist sideways, making his two hands that were prepared to hold onto its shoulders miss their target and letting the variant type demon make direct contact with his body.

And Blake was even more alarmed when he felt two arms wrapping around his body before his eyes were blinded by a blinding light, caused by the variant type demon increasing the heat around its body to its maximum.

With practically no distance between the two of them, Blake’s eyes would not only be dry, but they would also be non-functional if they were to make direct contact with such intense heat that could even melt rocks.

So Blake made an instant decision to close his eyes and poured more nether into the dark earth armor to also cover his eyes, essentially saving himself from being blind.

But Blake’s fight did not end there.

With the man-sized fireball turning up the heat that its body released to its maximum capability, and Blake being in a very close proximity, or simply speaking, was glued to it, of course, he had to deal with the immense heat coming from right beside his face, heart, and whole body.

The only thing that saved Blake from being instantly turned to charcoal was none other than the dark earth armor, which was struggling for the first time in a very long time.

The armor had saved Blake from countless wounds ever since he got the armor from Robus and it had never failed him even once.

But faced with a literal hellish heat, Blake could feel the heat slowly yet surely starting to penetrate through the dark earth armor.

.....

He could feel the outermost layer of the dark earth armor begin to heat up to an imaginable degree as he sent more and more nether towards the dark earth armor to keep it together.

Of course, the only thing that saved the dark earth armor from collapsing under the heat was none other than Blake’s constant supply of his nether.

Not only was his nether capacity was beyond incredible, or at least on the very top of the demons in the first demon realm, but the quality of nether produced inside his body was also superior, even making him capable of casting second realm spells despite still living in the first demon realm.

The quantity and quality of his nether worked together fixing any broken parts of the dark earth armor and also keeping the absorbing capabilities of the dark earth armor at their most optimum capacity, significantly spreading and handling the hellish heat that constantly assaulted it.

Blake didn’t know how long it lasted, he just kept on supplying the demonic runes on his chest with nether, keeping the dark earth armor in a constant state of regeneration.

But he knew how much nether he had spent, and it was the same amount that he would spend if he were to cast a second realm darkness spell, even slightly more than that.

And after spending that amount of nether did the intense heat that he felt on the dark earth armor finally ceased.

With the heat finally died down, Blake then had the bravery to open up the slit on his eyes again to see what was the thing that was clinging so hard to him, wanting to burn him alive.

Blake kept the opening of the armor as minimal as possible, large enough that he could see properly, but not large enough that he could get the armor back up instantly.

He needed to be at least that careful with an unknown variant that had basically given him a sort of kamikaze attack.

So when he actually looked down at his chest, the place where he felt the variant demon was gluing itself to him all this time, Blake was stunned when he saw a pair of blazing red eyes staring back at his own jet black eyes.

The two eyes stared at each other, one stared with a hint of amazement and curiosity in it while the other had not only amazement but also a longing stare as the two completely different eyes made contact with each other.

The stare went on for quite some time before a shout finally broke the silence between the two of them.

“RRR!”

Along with the shout, a loud boom was heard as a significant force was expended to the sand ground, launching a man-sized gorilla straight towards Blake’s location.

Blake looked sideways to see his gorilla best friend moving towards him by jumping forward with almost all of his might.

And when he did that, Blake felt the two arms that wrapped around his body suddenly loosened.

Then with a not-so-small explosion, the creature that had stared into Blake’s eyes propelled itself away from Blake’s location and ran back towards the back of the tall earth mound before several more explosions happened, probably signaling that the variant type demon had propelled itself again to go somewhere far away.

After spending a lot of nether trying to burn Blake alive, the variant type demon seemingly runs out of the inexhaustible amount of fire elements at its disposal.

And even when it ran away using explosions, the fire that now was emitted from its body was so small that instead of creating a man-sized fireball, it revealed the outline of the variant type demon, which looked like a slender and small humanoid demon.

After another powerful jump, Robus finally arrived right beside Blake, seemingly ready to kick, punch, and pummel the variant type demon until its soul came out of its body.

But with the variant type demon having been long gone even before he arrived, the man-sized gorilla could only kick the ground in frustration.

Blake then looked at the 8 earth constructs that he had made to hold onto the variant type demon and found two of the earth constructs had their tips melted while the other 6 were completely fine as if the 6 earth constructs weren’t touched at all.
