Chapter 162
Chapter 162
162 The Second Covenant (1)
What he saw with his eyes were the same pair of eyes that he saw back when he had just arrived in the first demon realm and fought the variant type demon.
Red blazing eyes that you could even feel the heat coming from those eyes. Or rather, came from the actual body of the variant type demon.
When the two eyes met, Blake didn’t know what the variant type demon would do to him, but he wished with all his might that his face wouldn’t be attacked since it was the only exposed area that wasn’t protected by the dark earth armor.
And just imagining the intense heat that could even break his dark earth armor if it wasn’t supplied by more nether hitting his face, Blake would literally lose his power to imagine anything anymore as his skull broke and his brain charred or melted by the intense heat that the variant type demon was able to emit from its body.
A lot of scenarios came to his mind as Blake thought about how to survive the predicament that was even more unnerving compared to when the mass of humanoid demons had almost gotten to him.
Just the idea of laying down belly up beside a demon whose whole body was covered in literal hellish flame was enough to make Blake sweat pour out of his forehead.
However, despite the many things that Blake had expected to happen, what had actually happened baffled him and threw his mind into total confusion.
The flame elemental variant type demon walked over to Blake until its head was right above Blake’s, and despite Blake couldn’t see anything on the variant type demon’s face other than its eyes, Blake could somehow feel that the variant type demon didn’t have any hatred or drive for revenge when looking at him.
But still, what happened next was really out of Blake’s expectations.
.....
The flamey hands of the variant type demon reached out under Blake’s body, and lifted Blake slightly off the ground before dragging him in Robus’ direction.
And after Blake’s body was right next to Robus, the variant type demon raised Blake’s upper body even more, letting Blake’s upper body lean on Robus’ still incapacitated body.
With his upper body sitting up, Blake’s head was finally able to see the scenery all around him. And two sentences would be enough to summarize what he saw in his surroundings.
Those two words were, ‘Forest Fire.’
Everywhere his eyes could look, there were burning trees, burning bushes, heck, even burning corpses of the humanoid demons were still around the area, being charred as black as charcoal, almost similar to how Blake’s skin looked like.
Blake then slid his eyes to the left, looking at the demon who was responsible for causing all these destructions in front of his eyes in just a matter of a minute or two.
‘Although I can defeat it, I don’t think I could cause this much destruction over a large area in just a minute...’
Blake thought that even though he could probably turn the forest around him into a forest of darkness spikes with his myriad of darkness tendril spell, those darkness spikes wouldn’t burn and spread to the other trees, casting it to kill dozens of humanoid demons would not be as simple as making several flame explosions.
‘Well, our specialty is different, I can’t be the same as it and spit out flames with a wave of my hand even if I wanted to-‘
Upon saying those words, Blake suddenly stopped moving his mouth as he felt a familiar sensation in his chest, the place where there were runes written on his skin.
And as if being automatically called by his mind without his control, Blake’s mind recalled upon something.

Bloodline Power:
(Darkness Demon) Darkness Monarch’s Covenant
As a monarch, your subjects’ power will be your strength and your power will be their strength. You will be able to make a pact with another demon. You will get their elemental affinity and bloodline power, in return, their darkness affinity will be multiplied depending on how high your darkness affinity is. (1/3)
————
The explanation of his bloodline power was always there when he opened up his status page.
But Blake rarely opened up the description of the two bloodline powers that he got. One from himself and the other one from Robus. And with his mind kind of telling him to re-read the description of his bloodline power to remind him of it, Blake did it right away.
After reading the description that his mind shoved on him, Blake’s eyes then wandered to the variant type demon’s body, then back to his mind.
Seeing the ‘(1/3)’ in his bloodline power’s description, Blake decided to do something.
Doing it just like how he met Robus for the first time, Blake focused on his chest, particularly the runes that were written on it, then he ran the sliver of nether he had in his heart to activate his bloodline power.
Even though the amount of nether he had in his heart was still minuscule, just a drop was enough to activate his bloodline power, and so it did activate.
And with Blake’s mind and heart thinking about the variant type demon, the bloodline power activated, and a jet-black orb came out of Blake’s chest, then flew to the variant type demon.
The variant type demon was surprised by the sudden appearance of a jet-black orb, but the orb just flew so fast, going through physical matters, be it the variant’s hands or flames, then arrived at the variant’s head.
The moment the jet-black orb hit the flame elemental variant’s head, both the variant and Blake suddenly closed their eyes, one of them standing and the other leaning on the huge gorilla that was still bound by the darkness tendrils.
However, despite their bodies being in two different positions, their minds were currently bound together in the same place.
Blake opened up his eyes again to see the familiar void everywhere around him. ‘It looks exactly the same as the first time I met Robus here.’ He thought to himself as he looked around at the sea of nothingness.
However, different from back then when a huge gorilla was standing before him.
Now, what stood in front of him was a child.
