Chapter 162 Uriel.
Chapter 162 Uriel.
Uriel was sitting on one of the branches of the giant tree, bigger than the Yggdrasil tree, and it was five times bigger. She was looking down at the beautiful rivers and seas on the branches of the trees, and then Michael landed right behind her.
"What have you done, Uriel?" Michael asked as he glared down at Uriel with his glowing gold eyes.
"I'm not sure what you're talking about," Uriel answered and didn't bother to look back at Michael and kept staring down.
"You used your knowledge to help the damned. The Lord will punish you for what you have done," Michael said.
Uriel glanced at Michael and she didn't say anything since there was nothing to say. She knew what she did and what happened to the emotions and the vessels that she gave to the Kings and Dukes of Hell. She admitted that she made a mistake, a dangerous mistake which was why Michael was furious at her.
"If The Lord wants to punish me, he would have done that before I could even create those things," Uriel replied. "But here I am, unpunished," Uriel pointed out.
"Just because The Lord doesn't punish you, that doesn't mean I won't stay quiet and let it be. I'm the justice that The Lord choose, and I'll bring down the justice for what you have done," Michael said as he pointed his sword at Uriel's neck.
Uriel looked at the tip of the blade right under her right jaw, and Michael was serious about it. She didn't react to the threat because she knew she would lose to him even if she tried her best.
"Do it, Michael. Kill me for my sins," Uriel said as she closed her eyes.
Michael hesitated and he was so close to cutting Uriel's neck, but he couldn't do it and put away the sword from her. Uriel was relieved and slowly opened her eyes because the chance of her being spared was less than ten percent.
"How many of them you have created behind The Lord's back? And how many that you have sent down to hell?" Michael asked. "I will bring them all back and destroy them before it's too late," Michael added.
"I see. So you don't know about the whole situation," Uriel paused as she stood up and looked at the book she was holding. "I have sent them all down to hell, but you don't have to go down there to retrieve them because it's already too late," Uriel answered as she turned around and then looked at Michael.
"Just tell me where are they now," Michael said and stared into Uriel's eyes.
"I don't know. Mykel Alester took them all with him, and I don't know where they are or what happened to them," Uriel answered as she frowned with a worried expression.
At that moment Michael was furious and this time Uriel knew that she would die a hundred percent. She was ready to die, but then Raphael landed and stopped Michael before Michael could raise his sword.
"What happened and what will happen are under The Lord's will. You need to understand that everything is happening because of his will, and it's the path he made," Raphael said as he put his hand on Michael's forearm. "All we have to do is to embrace it. If you kill her, you're against The Lord's will," Raphael pointed out.
Michael couldn't argue with Raphael and put away his flaming sword which was enough to make both Raphael and Uriel relieved. Gabriel, Azrael, Ramiel, and Cassiel came to gather with the three of them for one reason. They didn't actually understand why The Lord let it happen and why he wanted Earth to end.
None of them knew the answer even Uriel who was overwhelmed with knowledge and always by The Lord's side never knew the way he think. Although they were curious, none of them could speculate because they were created without free will and freedom, unlike humans. They were created to follow orders, but Uriel had free will which was why she understood the reason behind Lucifer's rebellion.
Of the seven of them, Uriel was the only one who didn't despise Lucifer for what he did. She was bestowed with knowledge and curiosity which made her different, and she had always been different from the others. She was the weakest of the seven of them, but she was the most dangerous even in the eyes of the other six.
"Uriel, to redeem your wrongdoings, I need you to observe Mykel and his creations. I want you to find out why he took those emotions, and what he did to them," Michael said as he looked at Uriel.
"He has regained his power and he could move from one reality to another. I can't do that if I can only stay from up here, it's impossible," Uriel shook her head.
"Seek The Lord's generosity and kindness. Ask for his permission and guidance. Ask The Lord to let you go down to Earth and roam free," Michael said with a serious expression.
Raphael and the others looked at Michael and they were quite surprised for him to say that. He was the one who was against others getting involved directly with affairs on Earth. He was the reason why none of them dared to go down there because of his authority under The Lord's name.
"Your creation is a threat to our existence, and I want you to take them back no matter what," Michael pointed out.
Uriel nodded her head with understanding and then spread her wings as she looked up. She flew away and disappeared, leaving a few feathers of her wings down the tree.
Uriel landed and she started to feel the guilt inside her chest grow the closer she was to the presence of The Lord. She looked at the endless pillars in front of her with a thick mist that covered her knees and below. She didn't dare to fly up the stairs where The Lord resided and she chose to walk a thousand miles and thousands of stairs to redeem her wrongdoings.
When she arrived, she went down to her knees, afraid to look up at the being that created her. The silence was only for those who were unworthy to hear the voice of The Lord, but to her, she could hear everything.
She started to shed tears for her wrongdoings and for the words that The Lord said to her. The generosity, the kindness, and the mercifulness of The Lord reminded her why he was the one above all.
"I understand," Uriel nodded her head and slowly looked up at The Lord. "I will not disappoint you again, My Lord," Uriel said as tears fell to her chin.
Uriel stood up and walked away as the tears dried up on her cheeks and chin. The moment she arrived at her place, a giant outdoor library with millions of books and scrolls scattered on the floor, she realized something. She wondered why The Lord allowed her to go down if The Lord knew everything, so she was curious what was exactly the reason behind his permission to let her leave.
She prepared the things that she wanted to bring with her before she went down to Earth as she thought about the reason. In the end, she couldn't find one after she got everything she needed to go down to Earth. Before she could leave, Raphael came to visit, and he looked a bit worried for her.
"Be careful down there, and avoid meeting with Lucifer. He's too powerful down there," Raphael warned as he looked at Uriel.
"I'm aware, and I'm not going down there to meet with him. My job is to observe Mykel and I'm not going to create another problem for The Lord," Uriel answered as she held a lot of books in her arms. "I know what I'm going to do, and I will do my job properly because I have promised The Lord," Uriel added.
"If can, bring those humans back. They're being used by Lucifer and they possess our power which only makes him more powerful the longer we ignore it," Raphael said as he looked at Uriel.
"I will do what I can, but I can't promise anything because it would be hard for me to do that since handling Mykel alone is already hard to do," Uriel answered as she looked around. "I don't want to be away from The Lord's side for too long. So I want you to understand," Uriel stared Raphael in the eye.
"I understand," Raphael nodded his head.
Michael and the others came after they heard that Uriel was allowed to go down to Earth. They had the same request as Raphael, but they understood the circumstances and didn't want to force her to fulfill their requests.
"This is it. I'll be going down to Earth now," Uriel said as she looked at her wings.
They all nodded their heads with understanding and then watched Uriel fly up high into the sky. They then saw Uriel dove down faster than the speed of light and entered Earth. She landed on the bridge near Niagara Falls, and then she looked at the city in the distance.
"How peaceful," Uriel said as she transformed herself into a human with long light brown hair with light green eyes.
