Edge of the Apocalypse

Chapter 1067

Chapter 1067: Ice Wind

"Have you retreated?" Lucy put down the golden rose and watched the cavemen retreat down the stairs, hiding in the darkness that could not be illuminated by the fire. The retreating Neanderthals' faces were filled with unwillingness. They looked back repeatedly, but they still left. They walked cleanly, leaving behind a corpse on the ground.

"I think they're scared." Alan looked around, the fire only illuminating the ground that was less than a few meters long and wide in front of the temple. Darkness seemed to have magic power, forcing the light back.

Fares switched to the black ice in his right hand. With the new gun in his hand, he felt endless courage in his heart. "What are they afraid of, my lord? Are we?"

"No, absolutely not. Something else" Alan looked at Lucy, his eyes seemingly talking. You know that, don't you?

Lucy took a deep breath and said, "Ice Wind."

Edward shouted, "Lighten up all the braziers. We need to see further!" Previously, he didn't dare to light a big bonfire just to prevent the cave dwellers from being attracted by the fire. Now, he naturally didn't have such worries. Edward ordered his own warriors to light up the two rows of braziers on the left and right steps of the temple, and the flames lit up to contend against the darkness. Allen's eyes glowed red, dancing like candles. Flame patterns appeared on his body, and the Sovereign King of Fire suppressed the surroundings. Two rows of brazier flames rose, forming pillars of fire.

The darkness receded, and the temple and half of the square below were filled with flames, the light and heat of which lifted the spirits, while Allen searched for possible icy winds. Apart from the underground demon that Jartes had mentioned, what else could cause the Neanderthals to retreat? There might be many things that the Neanderthals were afraid of in the outside world, but this was Tallinn Aisha. There was only one nightmare for Tallinn Aisha, and that was the Ice Wind!

Rustling, the sound of something slashing across the rock came from the darkness. Alan could easily imagine the scene of sharp claws rubbing against the hard rock in his mind. Just like a fine winter day when she was young, Bai Fang always liked to use her claws to scratch hard stones, making unacceptable sharp noises in the ears of humans and enjoying it.

The empty space caused the sound to echo everywhere, making it very difficult to determine the source of the sound. Jeltess had said that ice winds were crafty and cruel reptiles, and now Alan had witnessed them with his own eyes. The reptile was distracting them with its voice and trying to hide in the darkness in an attempt to awaken human fear. Fear of darkness is an innate human instinct, and Ice Wind is good at taking advantage of it.

The temple was blazing with flames, but he could still feel the temperature dropping. The chill came from somewhere, like an invisible ghost pestering the people. Alan turned around with Red King in his hand, and his gaze swept past, and there was nowhere for him to hide. Ice Wind was not in his line of sight. He was puzzled, but he soon knew where he had missed out. Allen slowly raised his head. The sky above the temple was dim, and the rocky roof could be vaguely seen under the light of the fire. Then, he saw two golden balls of light, like two tiny suns appearing underground!

Gradually, a brown vertical ripple appeared in the golden ball of light. The vertical ripple slid down and collided with Alan's line of sight.

"It's up there!" Ellen shouted, "Inch Fire Sagittarius, gather fire!"

All the archers raised their guns to the sky, and the fierce fire rifles roared. Streaks of fire tore through the space and swept over the temple. The bullet swept across the top of the rock and splashed with sparks. Within the flickering flames, one could see a huge figure swiftly swimming. His body was occasionally swept by the flames and only sparks splashed out. A hoarse cry sounded from the shadows on the top of the rock. Suddenly, the wind blew, and the thing jumped down from above and smashed into the temple square like a meteor.

Countless cracks appeared on the ground of the plaza. Bricks flew everywhere, and an invisible shockwave shook the front row warriors, causing them to lose their footing. After the shock passed, a monster appeared in the flames. It was clear that Gertes was right to call it a reptile. Ice Wind looked like a giant lizard at first glance. Its head and tail were more than ten meters long, especially its bone spike-ridden tail, which was roughly four meters long.

Ice Wind's body was covered with scales. Each of those indigo scales was the size of a palm, and under the light of the fire, they revealed a fine circle of markings. Ice Wind's hind legs were thick and short, and its forelegs were slender and long. It had curved black claws that looked like crystals. Its two golden eyes on its triangular head were filled with anger, and when it opened its mouth, it would spit out a pair of curved and thick teeth.

The reptile's nostrils dilated as it spat out two strands of cold wind, causing a thin layer of frost to appear on the ground. Its breathing was like a frosty breeze blowing in the winter, and a chill came out from the cracks in each of its scales. A faint frosty mist rose up from Ice Wind's body, as if a gray-white flame was ignited on its body. The reptile did not rush forward immediately. It moved its body cautiously. Its claws lightly grabbed the ground, and it would dig out a deep gully. Its eyes stared at the crowd without a moment of relaxation.

Then, in the next moment, with his thick hind legs propping up the ground, Ice Wind swam like flying and charged forward!

"Sargeras!" Alan roared at the name of the Flame Devil as he dragged his saber forward at the same time. Sargeras passed him with a flash of fire and faced the icy wind head-on. Both sides were enormous creatures. Even if one side was the projection of the ancestor, when Sargeras crashed into the ice wind, the entire plaza shook violently. Sargeras placed his hands on Ice Wind's head and opened his mouth. He spat out raging flames from his mouth that looked like a tornado, like a waterfall that washed away Ice Wind's body. The flames collided with the frost mist on the reptile's body, producing soaring steam.

Unwilling to be outdone, Ice Wind's two claws caught sparks from the Flame Devil's lava armor. Seeing that his sharp claws were unable to tear open the helmet, Ice Wind's long tail suddenly pulled out. Its bone spiked tail landed on Sargeras' chest, causing the Flame Devil to retreat backwards. Alan felt a burst of tightness in his chest, and Origin Energy circulated in his body, allowing his breathing to recover smoothly. By this time he had rushed to Ice Wind, crouched down and jumped up, and Alan jumped onto the head of the reptile. He turned Red King back and thrust him down.

Red King stabbed into Ice Wind's head and pierced through the scales without hindrance, but not until he had no handle, as Alan had expected. After Red King broke open the scales, it was as if it was stuck into a high-density alloy armor. The force of the recoil almost made Alan release his hand. Ice Wind's skull was so hard that Alan didn't have time to sigh. Red King's blade lit up and explosive flames sprayed out. Ice Wind let out a scream filled with anger and fear. He shook his head and sent Alan and Red King flying from his head.

"Attack!" Edward pointed at Ice Wind and said, "Inch Fire Sagittarius, shoot freely. I need your cover!"

"Mountain King Warrior, attack the limbs of that reptile and smash its legs off!"

While Edward commanded the soldiers to attack, Lucy also ordered the Steel Sharp Warriors to join the battle. The intertwined lines of fire rifles tore through space, and the Steel Sharp Warrior's artillery fire also leaked out on Ice Wind's body. Under the cover of Yi Fang's fierce firepower, the Mountain King warriors rushed to the foot of the icy wind and used their warhammers to ruthlessly knock the foot of the reptile. Regis and the others also joined the battle. For a moment, the Ice Wind was enemies on all sides.

Ice Wind was both angry and angry.

Ever since the change in Tallinn Aisha's residents, this underground city had become a dead zone, a paradise for ice winds. Few outsiders visited Tallinn Aisha, and the number of outsiders visiting her was pitifully low in Frost Wind's memories. The most recent time was several hundred years ago. Ice Wind still remembered very clearly that the humans who had accidentally come underground at that time only dared to look at Tallinn Aisha from afar before being chased out by the Neanderthals.

This time, however, the visitors were completely different. It had already been a long time since Ice Wind had encountered such a fierce attack. It seemed that he had only attempted such a ferocious attack when he was at odds with the residents of Tallinn Aisha. Just like the Neanderthals, the underground ice wind hated flames, and the bright light stimulated its eyes. It only liked the nesting Tallinn gemstones, and the cold gemstones were so soft and beautiful. At this moment, not only were the two rows of fire basins in the temple lit up, but the flames from the fierce fire rifles and the cannon on the steel-edged warrior's shoulders made Ice Wind unable to open his eyes.

The entire field of vision was filled with flames that were too bright for Ice Wind. As a result, there was no way for Ice Wind to avoid the onslaught of the Mountain King's troops and the attacks of other experts. This made him very angry. He hated the feeling of being beaten all the time.

Sha Xue buzzed in Laura's hand. The crystal stones and lines on the sword lit up. Every time Laura swung her sword, two or three faint sword marks would appear in the air. That was the image of Sha Xue's energy cutting wave remaining in the air. Even with the hardness of the icy wind scales, the scales would definitely burst apart when Sha Xue sliced through them. Each of Laura's sword strikes left a few dozen centimeters of wound on Ice Wind's body. However, such a wound was like scratching an itch on an Ice Wind that was more than ten meters long. Even so, as the wounds continued to grow, it was not a pleasant thing for the Ice Wind. josei

Not only did Laura's Blood Sha deal damage to its body, but it also had Regis's Star Saber, Fares' Black Ice, and Adele's Howl. But the thing that scared him the most was the Red King in Allen's hands. When the long saber that spat out explosive flames stabbed into his head, Ice Wind almost thought that he had fallen into the volcano. He definitely didn't want to try that kind of experience a second time, so when he saw Alan drag his saber towards him, Ice Wind's limbs stopped and he knocked over many Mountain King warriors. It leapt backwards, drawing a considerable distance.

Ice Wind took a deep breath and the frost mist on his body surged. He opened his mouth again and spat out a pillar of wind with countless blue ice fragments!

"Be careful!" Alan shouted. The entire plaza was cold. The flames in the two rows of stone basins under the stone steps of the temple were dimmed by the cold. The frost wind pillar swept over, and the ground in the plaza quickly froze. Seeing this, Allen didn't even think about it. He slashed down on the wind pillar with a knife.

Its might was as fierce as flames, and Red King's blade pulled out a wisp of scarlet saber light. It was like a ray of autumn sun illuminating Earth City, tearing through the darkness and blasting into the incoming icy wind pillar!
