Eternal life begins with saving my clan

Chapter 143 : Entering the Land of Fallen

Chapter 143 : Entering the Land of Fallen

With the deafening scream of Patriarch Chen, the massive ship swayed vehemently, and all the soldiers on board prepared to rush toward the Barren Land ships.

Unlike them, the barren ship didn't move an inch. The men on board only batted an eye at the roaring shout of the outlanders before turning their gaze to the Land of Fallen.

"The pressure has disappeared," Su Ming muttered.

Hearing this, all the men on the ship had their expressions turn solemn. They gripped their weapons tightly, waiting for the orders.

It was at that moment the outlanders realized the pressure coming from the Land of Fallen had vanished.

"What! The pressure has disappeared; we can now enter," a middle-aged man from a smaller clan shouted in excitement.

Listening to his scream, the three patriarchs on the sea looked at each other before turning to gaze at the stable Land of Fallen and dashed forward.

Not to be outdone, all the various clans from the Baiyun continent rushed toward the open Land of Fallen. As for the previous attack on the Barren Landers, they all put it at the back of their minds.

Elder Feng emerged out of the water, his body drenched in cold water, gasping for air. His eyes roamed around the sea when he heard the continuous screams of the outlanders rushing into the Land of Fallen.

He was furious and wanted to attack them, but then, heard a voice in his head. Sighing, he shook his head and walked toward his ship.

After all the outlanders had rushed into the Land of Fallen, leaving a few behind to guard their ship, the sea became extremely quiet.

From the distance, a ship sailed forward slowly but was covering a large distance at a rapid speed. In a blink, the ship arrived beside the barren land fleet.

"Sect master!" Everyone shouted. Their voices resounded throughout the sea.

The few remaining people of the outlanders looked at the new arrival with their jaws dropped to the ground.

Su Yen, dressed in a pure white robe, stood at the bow of the ship and turned to look at the remaining outlanders before averting his gaze.

However, just that gaze alone sent shivers down the spines of those on the outlanders' ships. It was like a terrifying beast was looking at them, and if they moved, they would be killed.

None of them had ever felt that in their life. Now, they realized who was the real overlord of the region, and they've entered the lion's den.

Su Yen didn't know what was going on in the minds of the outlanders as he focused his gaze on his people.

"You must move in groups of five. The soldiers should try to protect the sect disciples. They are here to gain experience; I don't want them to have an unnecessary death." His voice was low but everyone on the ships heard him.

Behind him were the disciples of the Knight academy. Their eyes moved back and forth with a gaze full of pride and confidence.

"When you see the outlanders, you know what to do?" Su Yen continued.

"Go now and don't die," he commanded.

With that, the barren landers brimming with confidence rushed into the Land of Fallen with the hope of getting something extraordinary.

Watching everyone rushing into the Land of Falling in groups, Su Yen turned to look at the furious Elder Feng and said with a bittersweet smile.

"You've had enough battle for today; protect the ships in our absence." He looked at a particular ship in one of the fleets and smiled.

"Shall we go together?"

"Alright," a sweet voice came from the ship, and Huang Yin appeared from the inner chamber.

From the beginning, the outlanders were dancing in the palm of the Barren Landers. Apart from Su Ming being a Foundation Building realm expert, there was still Huang Yin holding the fort.

Therefore, the outlanders didn't have a chance of killing them in the first place.

Every step Huang Yin took covered tens of meters and in a blink, she appeared in front of Su Yen, with her gaze full of adoration. "You've gotten more beautiful once again," she muttered in a low voice, with the corner of her ear turning red.

"I sure do. What do you think? Do you like it?" He teased as he stretched out his hand to hold her delicate hands.

"Hmm. Hmm." She nodded, not daring to speak as her face was redder than ripe tomatoes.

"Let's get going," Su Yen chuckled and took a step toward the Land of Fallen.

Whoosh!

Su Yen and Huang Yin disappeared from the sea, leaving only the grumbling Elder Feng.

Inside the Land of Fallen, Su Yen found himself at the center of a massive forest. The spiritual essence in the atmosphere was so thick that he was almost choked to death.

Quickly, he circulated his cultivation technique to the limit to control the spiritual energy. Slowly, his body got used to the thick spiritual energy, and his face regained its radiance.

"That was close," he mused before he looked at his surroundings.

Each tree in the vicinity was over a thousand meters tall, with leaves broad enough to accommodate ten people at the same time.

He spread his spirit sense to the limit and realized his spirit sense was being restricted to only 200 meters. His spirit sense could cover close to a kilometer, but now, it was reduced to two hundred meters.

Shaking his head, he picked a direction. As for the fact that he didn't see Huang Yin, he wasn't that surprised. He had read that some spirit realms tend to send people randomly.

Besides, with Spirit Comms, he could communicate with her but chose not to. He looked at the massive ancient trees with various thoughts running through his mind.

'What if we use these ancient trees for building?' With that thought, he attacked with a palm strike.

Bang!

The attack landed on the bark of the tree and bounced off as if it was nothing. Seeing this, Su Yen was a bit surprised and increased his attack.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

He attacked continuously, but each of his attacks didn't leave a scratch on the bark of the tree, let alone destroy it.

"What a strong tree!" he exclaimed.

The serene forest, once quiet and undisturbed, now held an air of tension that seemed to thicken with every passing second.

Unbeknownst to Su Yen, his casually unreasonable attack had stirred the ancient dwellers, and as he strolled along, an unsettling transformation took hold of the atmosphere.

The usual tranquility of the giant, ancient trees became tainted with an ominous undercurrent.

The very air seemed to shudder with the weight of a presence awakening from a long slumber.

Su Yen, absorbed in his thoughts and seemingly indifferent to the subtle changes around him, pressed forward with his casual pace.

Abruptly, the forest responded to an unseen disturbance.

The very ground beneath Su Yen's feet trembled as if in anticipation.

Hissing sounds, a symphony of concealed threats, echoed from every direction, creating an otherworldly chorus that permeated the once-silent woods.

As the hissing intensified, Su Yen instinctively halted his tracks.

The atmosphere, once serene and vibrant, became tense and eerily quiet. It was as though the very essence of the forest held its breath, awaiting an impending revelation.

In the silence that followed, the foreboding atmosphere clung to the towering trees like a heavy mist, casting shadows that danced with the uncertainty of what was to come.

The air seemed charged with an unspoken warning, creating a palpable sense of suspense that hung in the stillness.

Then, emerging from the shadows, they appeared.

The atmosphere crackled with a mixture of reverence and trepidation, setting the stage for an encounter with beings that had long kept their secrets hidden within the heart of the colossal forest.
