Chapter 148 : The Celestial Heavenly Desciples learn a hard lesson.
In a large expanse of grassland, two groups were fighting each other. On one side, there were people dressed in various clothes, while the other group was dressed in blue and black robes.
Those dressed in blue and black robes were from the knight academy of the Celestial Heavenly sect. The five students were fighting against twenty people older than them.
However, the five students didn't seem to be intimidated by the older group. Haoran, the leader of the students, didn't falter, leading the charge.
He was only at the early Qi Refinement realm stage 1, but his attacks were deadlier than the outlanders.
He alone faced off against six warriors, both intermediate and peak Qi Refinement realm.
Ah!
A miserable scream came from a young girl. She retreated with trembling legs, holding her waist. Blood gushed out continuously, and her face turned pallid.
Even though they were outnumbered by their opponents, their inherited bloodline gave them a massive advantage over the outlanders.
But the vast experience between the two sides made the battle difficult for the students of the knight academy.
When her teammates heard her cry, they halted their battle and turned to look at her.
"Chun is hurt?!" Yuze said with wide eyes.
It was not only him that was surprised; all the other four students were stunned for a couple of seconds before they looked at the outlanders.
Slowly, they turned their gaze to the man that hurt their fellow student.
"You hurt her?!" Haoran pointed his sword at the man.
"What! Are you stupid or what?" Bo asked with a slight confusion on his face before he sneered. "I am not only going to hurt her alone; I will kill her and the four of you."
For a couple of seconds, the four didn't utter a word. They were processing the sudden reality they were thrown into.
In the Celestial Heavenly sect, they were battling each other, but no one had ever had the intention of killing each other.
Why would they kill others when the sect strictly prohibited it? Even if someone used underhand methods, it would be found out immediately, and death would be the worst thing for that person.
They were shielded from the brutality of the survival of the fittest. Even when they went to battle beasts, it was against weaker beasts.
But now, this was the first time they witnessed their fellow student injured by another human.
Coming out of his reverie, Haoran's voice was bone-chilling cold. "Do you know what you just did?"
"Of course, I cut her waist. I planned on piercing her heart, but she moved in the nick of time," Bo responded with disdain. "I think you don't understand what I'm trying to do. Let me show you."
With that, he pounced on Chun, ready to pierce her heart with his sword. Chun was scared by Bo's savagery, and her face whitened.
"You dared!" Yuze shouted and rushed toward Bo with his movement skill.
The five people surrounding him tried to stop but were surprised. Yuze's movement was extremely swift, leaving a gust of wind behind the five.
He rushed toward Bo with veins protruding on his forehead. Bo didn't seem to care about the kid as he prepared his target.
Looking at the sword coming toward her heart, the trembling Chun muttered. "Elemental-Blood Suppression."
At once, a phantom image of the black pagoda materialized behind her. Her previous timid gaze turned piercing and cold.
As for Bo, his sword came to a sudden halt.
A heavy suppression pressed on his body that he found it hard to breathe. Fear gripped his heart as he saw the phantom pagoda behind Chun.
At once, he remembered where he had seen such a black pagoda. He could recall the massive commotion caused by the colossal pagoda in the sky.
No one knew where it came from and why it appeared. But now, looking at the pagoda behind the seemingly weak girl, he was stunned.
However, when he remembered he couldn't move an inch no matter how he tried, panic gripped his heart, and from the corner of his eyes, he saw the furious Yuze rushing toward him.
Bang!
Yuze arrived and swung his sword. Bo watched helplessly as it cut through his neck. His head rolled on the green grass, blood dyeing everywhere red.
At once, the place descended into a still silence.
The outlanders were too shocked to move, while the students were comprehending what just happened.
The silence lasted only until a man in his early thirties spoke, "You, how are you related to the black pagoda?"
His voice was laced with confusion and shock.
Chun gathered her strength and stood. Her gaze was vastly different from the beginning.
She picked up her sword and said with an expressionless face, "None of them must spread the news."
"It's not like you can stop us," Qian said matter-of-factly.
"Really?" Haoran asked. He looked at the six people surrounding him and continued. "Let's see how you escape."
Whoosh!
A black pagoda phantom appeared behind him, and he moved. Before the first person could react, Haoran was right in front of him.
"Die!" His sword pierced his target's heart, coming out from the back.
His gaze was expressionless as he moved to his next target.
"What! He also has that pagoda?!" Qian shouted with shock written on his face.
However, before he could process what was going on, the other three students materialized their pagoda bloodline.
The outlanders were left speechless. How could these weak barren landers be related to that monstrous pagoda? They didn't have time to dwell on it when the students pounced on them.
This time around, every one of their attacks was filled with killing intent.
Ah! Ah! Ah!"In just one exchange, half of the outlanders were sliced or beheaded. The outlanders trembled in panic, fear gripping their hearts.
The gentle breeze of the grassland was like the whisper of death. Their spines drenched in cold sweats.
They realized the phantom pagoda boosted the battle prowess of the barren landers.
Qian realized this and couldn't help but worry about others. His expression changed and became decisive.
"Run! Scatter and take different directions. Spread the news," he shouted.
He had just finished shouting and was ready to escape when the knights shouted in unison.
"Elemental-Blood Suppression."
The phantom pagoda behind them shone brightly, and a powerful pressure descended on the grassland. The air twisted, vibrating vehemently.
Qian and the others froze as heavy pressure descended on their bodies. Sweat poured from their foreheads like an open dam.
"Die!" Chun shouted, taking the lead.
Bang!
A head rolled with a look of despair written all over his face. As for Qian, there was only one thought in his mind.
"I'm doomed."
