Chapter 149 : Su Yen battle the river guardian

The air swirled strongly, and the void shook vehemently, forming a powerful whirlpool.

Suddenly, a silhouette appeared out of thin air. Dressed in white, his face full of confusion.

"Where am I?" Su Yen murmured with a knitted brow.

The cold breeze swayed his long hair, and the rushing current of the river echoed in his ears.

He looked at the river in the distance and then at the small wooden boat by the bank with wide eyes.

"Why does this look like I'm inside the painting?" he muttered with a slight shock.

He looked behind him; there was endless grassland with no path. Shaking his head, he looked at the small wooden boat and walked toward it.

Arriving by the wooden boat, he jumped into it and waved his hand.

The wooden boat sailed forward slowly. Inside the wooden boat, Su Yen looked at the wide, large river with a strong current.

As the wooden boat sailed forward, a powerful current began to assault the boat. It shook vehemently, with a creaking sound coming out of it.

Su Yen looked at the wooden boat, wondering if the boat would withstand the strong current.

Getting closer to the center of the river, the river current got stronger. The wooden boat found it difficult to move forward as a strong tide hit it continuously.

Water splashed into the wooden boat, swaying it left and right.

The sudden change in the river didn't catch Su Yen by surprise. He knew if he was inside the painting, then anything inside the painting would be far from normal.

Suddenly, from the depth of the river, a massive python emerged.

With a swift movement, it opened its massive mouth and prepared to swallow Su Yen whole.

Su Yen didn't dilly-dally. He jumped into the air, his sword appeared in his hand.

"Starlight Blossom Slash — Six Form."

A powerful starlight whistled out of his sword, moving at a blinding speed toward the massive pythons.

The attack struck the thick scale of the massive python and only left a scratch.

"What the…!"

Su Yen couldn't finish his sentence when another massive python came out of the river.

It attacked him, spitting out a powerful water spear.

The water spear traveled too quickly and appeared in front of him in a blink.

'Fuck!' He cursed and bent to the left and defended with a punch.

"Stone Fist Punch!"

The Stone Fist Punch traveled at dazzling speed and collided with the water spear.

Su Yen was sent a couple of meters back with his hair disheveled.

The two massive pythons glared at the puny figure in the air with orb-like eyes.

Their thick purple scales shone brightly, and their colossal heads with horns at the top prevented any ray of sun from reaching the river.

Even though the two massive pythons were tens of meters from the river, their bodies were still inside the river with no end in sight.

Standing in the air, Su Yen took a deep breath. He knew for him to pass through these two massive pythons wouldn't be easy.

Likewise, he wasn't an easy person to mess with.

The two horns on the massive pythons began to light up. Suddenly, they opened their mouths and spit out venomous poison.

The corrosive poison let out a burning sound as it traveled at a breathtaking speed toward Su Yen.

Su Yen didn't dare to be careless against the incoming poison. He released his sword soul, and the surroundings were filled with deadly sharpness.

"Three Resonance Thunderstrike."

A bolt of powerful Thunderstrike came out of his sword, roaring toward the incoming poison attack.

The Thunderstrike collided against the venomous poison, cutting it cleaving it into two. The Thunderstrike didn't stop there and continued toward its target.

It hit one of the massive pythons.

The python cried in pain, and the river below became tumultuous, roaring back and forth. Seeing this, the other python was furious and rushed toward Su Yen.

Su Yen didn't falter from the approaching python; he gripped his sword with both hands and attacked.

"Starlight Blossom Slash - Seven Form."

That was the last form of the technique, and it contained unimaginable power. Su Yen didn't see how the attack. He only saw starlight blink in the air before a resounding sound echoed.

The starlight slash cleaved into the head of the python, cutting its horn into two. Instantly, the python roared in pain, shaking its massive body vehemently.

The river below was roaring powerfully, and the current was colliding with each other. In the sky, Su Yen didn't have a victorious look on his face.

On the other hand, he had a solemn expression on his face; right in front of him were tens of powerful water spears. They whistled toward him at breathtaking speed.

He didn't dilly-dally and attacked with the Seventh form of the Blossom slash. He didn't stop at that and stacked the Three Resonance Thunderstrike.

The seventh form of the Blossom slash cut through half of the incoming water spears while the Three Resonance Thunderstrike cleaved through it.

The powerful Thunderstrike arrived in front of the massive python with its horn intact and rammed into its head.

It cried in pain.

The two pythons were furious. As they prepared to retaliate with a more powerful attack.

Su Yen used his movement skill: Phantom Sky Step.

He disappeared from his original spot, moving at an incredible speed and appeared beside a python.

He raised his sword above his head and attacked. His sword covered in sword aura.

"Sword Burial - Deathwrath."

The massive python didn't have any chance to evade the attack. Su Yen's sword cut through the massive head.

The python's head fell off from its neck into the river. The river dyed in blood.

Howl!

The remaining python cried in fury and turned to look in Su Yen's direction.

It shot toward Su Yen like a bullet. Even though the python had a massive body, it didn't stop its speed at all.

The python was fast, but Su Yen was faster.

The python hit an empty air. The space vibrated vehemently, as if the void was about to shatter into pieces. It turned its head full of fury, trying to find the goddamn human.

Suddenly, it felt a powerful presence on its head. A slight shock was written on its face, but it quickly recovered and hissed loudly. It tried to shake Su Yen off its back, but it was futile.

Su Yen was like an immovable mountain on its back. Fear and panic etched on its face. It knew if he didn't shake off this damn human from its head, death was the only thing waiting for it.

Suddenly, it stopped shaking its body and dived down toward the river. Stranding on its back, Su Yen realized what the python was up to and sneered.

He raised his sword covered in sword aura above his head and swung it down.
