Chapter 414: Total Loss
Chapter 414: Total Loss
Chapter 414: Total Loss
Terrible purple thunderbolts sparkled at the center of the 150 km asteroid fragment.
The five Strengthened Heavenly Thunderbolt Atomic Hand Grenades had exploded instantly.
The explosion reached Zhou Li, the Penglai Sect’s Golden Immortal first, since his sword reached it.
He was less than a hundred meters away from the five detonating hand grenades. After he had struck out, he could not even react in time before he was consumed by the terrible flashing bolts.
Behind him, the three Golden Immortals’ faces fell and and they promptly pulled back... but were consumed by the thunderbolts as well before they could get more than a kilometer away.
“F*ck!”
Jiang He cursed, and was consumed by the thunderbolts as well in the next instant.
He had invoked the Primordial Bell immediately, but despite its protection, Jiang He could feel the frightening energy released.
Bombarded over by that energy, the entire Primordial Bell was shaking violently.
Despite Jiang He’s physique, he could not bear the violent shaking and was twitching, coughing blood.
He could clearly feel that the Primordial Bell was no different from a branch in a violent storm, and was sent flying in outer space by the violent blast.
Still, it was an even more ridiculous sight when seen from the distance: a purple thunder flash abruptly arising from the asteroid fragment, instantly bloating and erupting—and in the next instant, the asteroid fragment was gone and reduced to space dust, the many immortals upon it destroyed in both body and mind by the sweeping blow of the thunder flash.
Boom~~~
The thunder flash then erupted, consuming thousands of miles of space.
Even the many immortals who were 2,500 kilometers away could feel the searing, buffeting winds heading straight at their faces.
“It’s here!”
“He strikes again!”
Jin Sidao cried out in shock, exclaiming, “Some of the elites in the commoner nation had nicknamed Mister Jiang the Bomber Prince, and it was said that he loved studying explosives to construct stronger bombs ever since he started out. Back then, he slaughtered his way into Penglai Island with that same method and destroyed it!”
“Gasp!”
“Bomber Prince?”
The immortals of the Jiuhua Sect, Taixu Sect, Scaled Dragons and other factions allied to Jiang He had gathered, with Draco Thirty Seven shrieking ‘what the f*ck’ three times before crying out in surprise, “What is that move? No matter how I look at it, isn’t it an attack that could match a Grand Luo?”
“No, no... while a Grand Luo’s single strike would be more powerful, it does not affect such a huge area!”
“This is definitely science!”
The Taixu Sect’s Golden Immortal—an elderly man whose hair and beard were all white—spoke then, “I once met a machine champion at the celestial battlefield. Their race is founded on the principles of science, altering even their own bodies with technology to equip laser cannons, planet-destroying guns, and other weapons, each able to destroy a star with a single shot.”
Blowing up a planet was actually not that difficult.
After all, planets came in different sizes, and any Golden Immortal’s full-powered strike could destroy a planet the size of Mars.
A star, on the other hand...
Not even the most powerful of soul treasures would have such power.
“Though Jiang He is a full-fledged True Immortal, his combat ability would not lose to you or me. That thunderstorm power which he had grasp would actually kill most Golden Immortals!”
Those Golden Immortals communicated telepathically with each other, somberness appearing in their eyes.
That child was not to be provoked!
“My lord!”
And yet, that was when a blood-curdling scream echoed in everyone’s mind...
Unknown Fox had dropped to his amidst the infinity of space, his face looking utterly miserable as he exclaimed tragically, “My lord, you can’t die... you can’t die, my lord!”
“Shut up!”
Hu Mei barked angrily, “Why would my master die? If you dare to spout another word of nonsense, I would kill you even if my master wouldn’t!”
And upon Unknown Fox’s exclamation, the other Golden Immortals, True Immortals and Heavenly Immortals finally came to their senses.
The terrible thunderstorm would most likely kill any Golden Immortals caught in it. How could Jiang He survive when he was at the very heart of the explosion?
“Hehe!”
Someone chuckled then.
It was Jin Sidao, who said, “Impossible. Why would Mister Jiang die? As the saying goes, the good wouldn’t live long, while plagues remain for eternity...”
“Hmmm?”
Noting that Hu Mei had turned an unfriendly stare toward him, Jin Sidao promptly switched gears and said, “I don’t mean it that way, Miss Hu Mei... I just want to say that Mister Jiang would never die.”
“Of course my master would not die,” Hu Mei said flatly.
At the same time, the terrible thunder flash had faded slowly. The fragments of countless mystic treasures floated out in space and a colossal spatial rift stretching over three hundred kilometers could now be seen where the asteroid fragment had been.
There was not even a piece of any Heavenly Immortals or True Immortals left.
Following the terrible explosion, their immortal bodies and very souls was reduced to nothing, with three out of the four Golden Immortals killed on the scene.
The only one alive was the Blood Demon Sect’s Golden Immortal.
Blargh!
He coughed out mouthfuls of blood as he fell out of thin air. The Golden Immortal presence around him was dull and without glow, and he was withering.
A sea of blood that stretched on for miles had been churning around him when he attacked Jiang He just now. It was the domain he cultivated, and everything within the blood sea was his world.
And yet, the blood sea was now drying up, and the blood-colored armor on the Blood Demon Sect’s Golden Immortal was in pieces.
It was a premium-grade immortal item, though that alone would not have saved him from the explosion—he had to use another life-insuring miracle item, which a Superior Being had bestowed upon him, said to be an extremely rare object.
“Eh?”
A gasp of surprise could be heard then.
An ancient bronze bell could be seen floating out of the spatial rift that was slowly closing itself.
The gasp of surprise had resounded from within the ancient bronze bell.
Whoosh!
In a flash, Jiang He stepped out of the ancient bell and exclaimed in surprise, “You... aren’t you the Blood Demon Sect’s Golden Immortal? You’re not dead yet, mongrel?”
“You..”
Blargh!
The Blood Demon Sect’s Golden Immortal paled in shock. He forced himself to direct his Dao and immortal strength, but before he could do so, he felt an ache at his belly while his whole body was sent flying, coughing a splatter of blood as he flew.
Jiang He then appeared where that Golden Immortal had been, cooling his fists while his eyes lit up, “A premium-grade immortal armor?”
“Wow... it is already in pieces but it still hurts my fist. It definitely is a premium-grade immortal armor.”
Whoosh!
Jiang He flipped his hand and the Golden Radiance Sword appeared in his grasp.
However, he was bounding forward when the Blood Demon Sect’s Golden Immortal held himself steady and shrieked, “Mercy, Brother Jiang He! I have not quarrelled with you, and the leaders of the Blood Demon Sect had already defected under a certain ruler of the Blood Sea. I won’t breathe a word of you destroying the Blood Demon Sect, let alone killing a few Blood Demon Sect disciples on the homeworld.”
Right now, his immortal body and psyche were heavily wounded and not a tenth of his strength was left. How could he fight Jiang He in this state?
Even so, Jiang He’s sword shot out and sent him flying over fifty kilometers while he laughed coldly, “I gave all of you a chance, but none of you took it... it’s too late to beg for mercy now!”
The Golden Immortal whipped out a blood-hued combat blade at that and tangled against Jiang He.
It was an incredible weapon and must have been an acquired soul treasure, but the Blood Demon Sect’s Golden Immortal was just too seriously injured to fend off Jiang He, who chopped off his legs after just seven blows exchanged.
He turned and tried to run, but did not even get 400 km away only to be caught up and wounded more grievously by Jiang He with a few slashes.
“No!”
“You can’t kill me!”
“I have been initiated and taken in by the Nether River Patriarch, and have served him as his general since. He would not spare you if you killed me.”
The Nether River Patriarch?
Gasp!
Jiang He inhaled sharply.
It was a super-legendary big-shot.
And this fella here had actually managed to cozy up to such a big shot?
Others aside, it was actually possible!
This fellow’s blade techniques flashed with the color of blood, and he just might be connected to the Nether River Patriarch!
Kaboom!
Jiang He’s pushed his abilities to its limits, his killing intent rising further.
If that was the case, he must root out the problem. Otherwise, if this Golden Immortal was allowed to return and spill the news...
Wouldn’t his death be assured if a big shot of that level came for his head?
“No...”
A tragic scream echoed beside Jiang He’s ears as the Golden Immortal’s body abruptly bloated.
“Jiang He, I would not spare you even if I become a ghost!”
“Oh, no!”
Jiang He was astonished. “That b*stard is going to self-destruct!”
“Primordial Bell...”
Jiang He had just invoked the Primordial Bell when the Blood Demon Sect’s Golden Immortal was reduced to a flash of bloody radiance as he blew up resounding in outer space.
“Damn it!”
Beneath the Primordial Bell, Jiang He coughed blood again following the violent shockwave while cursing through gritted teeth, “If I had known this would happen, I should have tricked him for his Void Storage and mystic treasures before it turned out like this... what a total loss this is!”
