Chapter 425 - Utterly Lost to Win Her Heart (1)

Tang Moyu couldn't fathom how Lady Song knew about her inner turmoil of getting married. While she wanted to secure the shares she inherited from her father, she also didn't want to get married to Feng Tianyi for such a reason. She knew he deserved better than that.

What Lady Song said about marriage made sense to her, and she couldn't blame the older woman to think the best for her son, the empress herself and their twins.

"I understand, Lady Song. I'll keep that in mind." She told her boyfriend's mother. She realized that she wasn't quite ready for marriage as she was still doubtful that she could commit to the institution.

Song Huifen was pleased with her answer and nodded. She pulled herself back to her feet and gestured for Tang Moyu to follow her, which the latter did. They went down the stairs, finding Feng Tianyi in the kitchen with their little buns and Hunter, who had come along with the twins as their personal bodyguard.

The dog had almost reached his a.d.u.l.t size and was now dwarfing the little buns, whom he used to follow around. Tang Moyu scratched the back of his ear and looked around the spacious house.

She then walked into the huge living room connected to the open kitchen with a large nook area. Fresh flowers had been beautifully arranged in some expensive vases that sat proudly around the room and in the dining area, where she could see her little buns accompanying Feng Tianyi as he ate a sandwich he prepared for himself.

Family photos of the Song family hung regally on the walls, piquing Tang Moyu's interest. She couldn't help but take a good look at them. There were so many old photos of people she couldn't recognize, until she saw Lady Song's photo when she was a fresh graduate from the university, a wide smile gracing her lips.

Then her eyes caught photos of a young boy that resembled her Little Feiyu so much and could only assume that it was photos of Feng Tianyi as a child. There were so many pictures of him from the moment he was born, to a toddler sitting on Lady Song's l.a.p, to a kid with a deep scowl on his face as he looked at the camera pointing at him.

Tang Moyu's lips curled up, seeing his expression. Now, she had no doubt that Feng Tianyi was her little buns' father. That same expression Feng Tianyi sported as a child was the same as her Little Feiyu whenever he was displeased about something.

"Do you realize how I suspected that Xiao Bao was his?" She heard Lady Song speak next to her as they looked at Feng Tianyi's photos on the wall. "Very much like his father, isn't he?"

The empress could agree with that. Lady Song didn't miss the resemblance between her son and Xiao Bao. Only a mother who had seen her son growing up can spot the uncanny similarities between the father and child.

Her attention then caught the faded photo of a girl with long hair, who looked more like Feng Tianyi's twin up close, rather than being a relative. Tang Moyu couldn't remember hearing Feng Tianyi having another sibling aside from his younger brother, Feng Tianhua.

Could this girl be a close relative of Feng Tianyi? Tang Moyu felt that she had seen this girl somewhere, but she couldn't point out when and where.

Was her memory failing her? But that can't be, Tang Moyu took pride in her ability to remember things, up to the smallest details, so she wouldn't simply forget.

"Who's this? She looks like Tianyi." She pointed at the photo, asking Song Huifen.

Lady Song followed her gaze and looked to where she was pointing before laughter erupted from the older woman's lips.

"Uhm, Moyu… that's Tianyi. That was the time he and Fengyan refused to cut their hair because of a bet they made with each other. They looked silly, I tell you, but at least I got a glimpse of what I could have if I had a daughter instead of a son." She said in a loud voice, earning Feng Tianyi's attention from the dining area. She and Tang Moyu heard him gasp from where he was seated.

"It's Tianyi?" Tang Moyu's eyes widened in surprise before she started having a hard time trying to suppress her own laughter upon seeing Feng Tianyi's photo as a kid… as a little girl.

"Mother! I told you to remove that photo! How can you show that shameful photo to your future daughter-in-law?!" He exclaimed, deeply ashamed that his woman had seen him in such a state, regardless of his age.

Feng Tianyi could barely remember it. He had just turned ten and had a bet with Song Fengyan about something he couldn't even remember.

"Okay, okay. It's my fault. I shouldn't have let Moyu see it, but hey, I can't help but to hang it here. People always refer to you as a beautiful little girl when they see you."

"It's alright, Tianyi. I think there's nothing wrong to see a boy growing his hair long, as long as you are happy and comfortable with it." Tang Moyu told the annoyed devil, who came to the living area with their little buns tailing behind him. She made it sound like it wasn't the most awful thing in the world.

"Is that so? Now I'm curious if there will come a day when I would be able to see your male version. He must be very handsome and cool like you. How about we have another little bun?" He suggested with a devilish smile.

Tang Moyu slapped his arm, but she was pulled in by Feng Tianyi's arms for a tight hug before he kissed his cheek lovingly. Their little buns could only watch their parent's interaction with curiosity.

"No, Daddy! I'm my Mommy's baby!" Little Star chimed in, pulling her mother's arm to protest.
