Elaina did not care, however. She said to Jalen, “If his feelings for Jenica are real, he should treat her with sincerity and give her a chance to choose, instead of trapping her and forcing her to stay with him with his power like this.”

Right now, Jenica did not have a chance to choose at all. Saying yes to Quincy was her only choice. Otherwise, the Gansburg family would be doomed. And that was the reason why Elaina found it hard to accept.

“What you said makes sense.” Jalen could get it. After all, no one liked the feeling of being under others’ control.

“When do you plan to move the Gansburg family to Boston?” Jalen asked. He thought, maybe I should help Quincy get prepared. Maybe I can take him out of town to work fora while.

Otherwise, once he faces Elaina, it will be awkward for me to be stuck in the middle.
