“I’ll go back with you.” Jalen was here to find Elaina. If she left, why should he stay here?

They walked out of the hospital together. Just as Elaina was about to take a taxi, Jalen drove his car over and stopped in front of her. “It’s not safe to take a taxi so late at night. Let me give you a ride.”

“Alright, thank you.” She did not refuse because she knew that it was useless to refuse. Instead, she would waste her time with Jalen.

Elaina was really tired. She just wanted to go home and sleep.

In the car, Elaina closed her eyes and seemed to have fallen asleep.

Jalen was driving. When he saw her tired appearance from the corner of his eyes, he could not help but feel a little distressed.

He heard from the doctors and nurses in the hospital that Elaina had been operating from morning to night and had hardly rested. No wonder she was so tired.

“I haven’t had dinner yet.” He rushed over to find Elaina after he was done with the job. Unexpectedly, Elaina had already fallen asleep, and he could only wait for her in the office.

“Oh.” Elaina was expressionless, as if it had nothing to do with her.

Jalen could only say, “Can’t I go to your house to have something? You won’t be so stingy, right?”

Elaina stared at him and did not speak for a long time.

Elaina knew that he didn’t really want to have something.

In the past, she would not agree, but she did not have the energy to bicker with Jalen.

“Whatever. Don’t expect me to cook for you anyway.” She did not cook for herself, let alone cook for

others.

Seeing that she did not refuse, Jalen was in a good mood. “Don’t worry, I can handle it myself.”

After that, they entered the elevator together.

When they arrived at Elaina’s house, Elaina found a shopping bag full of ingredients at her door. “Who put it here?”

Jalen quickly picked up the bag and said to her, “I thought that there must be nothing in your house, so I asked my man to buy some and send it over in advance.”

After opening the door, Elaina lay on the sofa and immediately felt comfortable. “You can cook whatever you want to eat. I’ll rest for a while.”

Jalen did not care. He carried the ingredients to the kitchen and began to cook on his own.

Elaina was not woken up by Jalen. She was woken up by the fragrance coming from the kitchen.

Following the fragrance, she walked to the kitchen and saw that Jalen was cooking. Beside him were the spicy ribs that he had just made.

“What are you cooking?” she asked, looking at Jalen with suspicion.

Jalen’s hand paused for a moment as he smiled, “I’m making some side dishes for my spaghetti.”

“You even made side dishes for spaghetti?” Elaina was speechless. If it were her, she would just cook spaghetti.

She did not continue to ask. In fact, she knew what he wanted to do. She just did not want to accept

it.

“Is there a share for me?” Elaina asked weakly, feeling a little guilty.
