“The first room on the right on the second floor,” Linda replied.

“Ms. Gainsford said that the master bedroom was too big. She was afraid to live alone, so she moved

to the smaller one,” Linda replied.

As soon as Linda finished speaking, Jalen waved at her, indicating for her to go back to work, while

he went upstairs and walked to the room that Elaina had stayed in.

Pushing open the door, the room was dark all around. He reached out to turn on the light and saw a simple and large bed.

Probably because the room had been cleaned up, when Jalen stood in the room, he could not feel a

trace of Elaina.

Nothing had changed in the room. To Elaina, it was like a hotel. It was fine as long as she could

sleep. As for what was in the room, she did not care.

He pushed open the glass door of the balcony and walked out. The moonlight outside sprinkled on him, leaving a long shadow.
