Fatal Shot

Chapter 438 - A Familiar Headshot

Chapter 438 - A Familiar Headshot

Chapter 438: A Familiar Headshot

A group of 10 Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group Elite players were stationed underneath the secret base. They were defending the only path close to the center of the base that could lead inside the secret base.

One of the players, a Scout player, who was fully equipped with Rare Grade gears and had a submachine gun hanging in front of his chest, said to his teammate while observing the surveillance footage on the screen in front of him, “The battle outside is very fierce. This room is actually quite soundproof but we can still hear the sounds of battle quite clearly.”

“I just hope they can hold the defense. Otherwise, we’ll suffer a lot of losses. We already gave up farming our faction points for this mission, and we gave up the mission of spreading the T-virus yesterday. If we fail at defending the base, then we’d all be working our asses off for nothing. Old Bomb was showing off to me earlier about the points he gained. He already has enough to exchange for two Intermediate pet biochip now.” In front of the Scout player, a Machine Gunner player stationed behind a sparkling metallic six-barreled machine gun aimed at the tunnel entrance spoke depressingly.

“I personally don’t care about the faction points. The key is that being stationed here as guards is really boring since we can’t participate in the war. There’s also that bad-tempered Caucasian woman...” Another Machine Gunner pointed to a room behind the group and whispered.

“Boring? I actually like this mission. The scene outside connected to the Biohazard Crisis mission is too heavy. We’re fine with this. Qing Wu wouldn’t be able to take it.” Said a tall and muscular Heavy Armor Warrior with dark skin and a beard, who had luxurious items equipped.

“Yeah, I almost threw up yesterday when I had a glance. Those zombies are way too disgusting. The system never considered the feelings of us girls for this mission.” Said a female player in a complaining tone, standing beside the Heavy Armor Warrior. She wore a snow-white nurse uniform, her figure was good while her face looked delicate.

“Old Bear, you have your partner here beside you, it’s natural for you to not feel bored.” Another Machine Gunner turned around and said jokingly. However, when his gaze landed on the delicate-looking female Doctor player, his gaze showed a slight sense of contempt. If she did not get a very rare skill, she never would have qualified and been deployed here to participate in the mission.

More importantly, Roaring Dragon Ruinous Star and the Machine Gunner were no longer in the same camp, as they had conflicts of their own. However, the two of them were once friends.

The woman, on the other hand...

With regard to the mission of guarding the little girl that Wesker strictly and personally requested, Roaring Dragon Light Wind naturally prioritized the mission; to the point of deploying three Machine Gunners in the 10 man squad which was the last line of defense.

These three Machine Gunner players were fully equipped with Rare Grade items. Theoretically speaking, by taking turns firing their guns at the entrance of the completely sealed off tunnel, they would already be able to prevent and defeat more than a dozen enemies, unless the enemies were not players.

“Hmm? What is this sound? It’s heading over here.” The Scout player’s recon meter vibrated suddenly. The rare attribute of the recon meter came into effect that helped in areas originally limited by the environment. The recon meter detected the footsteps that had appeared after the sealed doors across them were opened.

“Someone’s here!”

As he just noticed the anomaly, a female gunner wearing a dark red leather outfit, who had a completely different temperament from the delicate-looking Doctor player from earlier, had appeared at the entrance of the tunnel.

Her right leg stepped on the ground and her entire body was lifted in the air. Her left leg kicked at the wall of the tunnel entrance, and as she kicked, she twisted her body in the air, in an instant, she went from side-facing the tunnel to facing directly to the tunnel. She raised both her arms and started firing two large revolvers that did not match her body-size.

“Bang, bang, bang, bang...”

One after another, 15.7mm caliber bullets exited the barrels of the two revolvers and spun at high-speed in the air.

“-1424, -4055!”

“-1534, -4567!”

Two revolvers fired at the same time and by the time the female “player” landed on the ground, she had already fired four shots.

The first shot broke a helmet, striking accurately at the point where the helmet was broken. Two Machine Gunners fully equipped with Rare Grade equipment received headshots and fell on the ground before they could shoot their already set-up machine guns.

It was a stunt scene that one could see in movies, and was beautifully executed by the female gunner “player.”

“Bang!”

“-6067!”

At about the same time the two Machine Gunners died, the other remaining Machine Gunner also fell on the ground the moment he touched his machine gun.

A black sniper bullet struck powerfully on a vital point around his chest area. A Fatal Damage of over 6,000 was enough to pry away any resistance he wanted to make.

“Boom!”

The head of the black bullet exploded, and a strong shock wave sent the others, who had yet to react, as well as everything in the area, flying everywhere.

The delicate-looking female Doctor player who had the weakest physique was thrown into the wall far away by the shockwave, making her dizzy for a while.

“Why does this woman look kind of familiar?” Feng Luo felt suspicious. However, he did not hesitate and the moment the Eye of the Thunder’s shot interval was up, he fired another shot right between the eyes of the female Doctor player.

“-5077!”

A fist-sized bullet hole appeared in between the eyes of the female Doctor player. Her face was filled with panic and confusion, and a white light flashed across her body.

One hit, headshot!

“Someone has infiltrated the base! Someone has infiltrated... F*ck!” The tanned, bearded Heavy Armor Warrior just stood up and coincidentally saw the female Doctor player called Qing Wu receive a headshot. His face stiffened, and then he cursed loudly.

He could not hear any replies from the internal communications channel, only hearing a crackling noise.

Phoenix and Onishi capitalized on the gap created when the enemies were thrown off balance and charged inside, rushing straight towards the two manipulator players who hastily cast an energy shield over themselves.

After Feng Luo shot dead the female Doctor player who gave him a sense of familiarity, he did not continue using the Eye of the Thunder. The three Heavy Armor Warriors had already raised their shields and blocked his shooting angle, and the Scout player who reacted the fastest even started using the Continuous Shooting skill and had fired a series of bullets at him.

The group of Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group players was quite strong. Apart from the female Doctor player, the rest of them were, without a doubt, elite or even expert players, and were also equipped with very good items provided by the guild.

The Scout player clearly thought that Feng Luo was the easiest one to deal with after assessing the overall battle situation. Coming to the conclusion that Phoenix was a Light Armor Warrior while Onishi and the female gunner “player” were probably both Scouts. Both of those professions typically had some Vitality stat points added while Snipers generally purely increased their Agility stats.

The Scout player’s calculations were pretty good. Normal players would have lost at least one-third of their total HP if they were shot at by his bullets.

However, above Feng Luo’s head, the numbers that appeared were only around 200 to 300.

If one observed carefully, it would be noticed that a transparent layer of “energy shield” covered Feng Luo’s combat uniform; though the “shield” seemed transparent, one could still see a slight light distortion caused by the “shield.”

Yes, it was an energy shield made up of dozens of thumb-sized Energy Beetles that were floating in front of Feng Luo.

Half of the shots fired by the Scout player were blocked by the shield created by the Energy Beetles. Only two shots made it through and hit Feng Luo, but they had no effect at all.

The Symbiotic Stats increased by the Life Protozoa weren’t just HP and Force, increasing his defense at the same time. In fact, though Feng Luo was only equipped with his backup combat uniform, his actual defense was similar to the defense of a piece of average light armor.

In addition to his HP that was over 10,000, not to mention two shots, even if the Scout player were to empty his magazine on Feng Luo, there was still no guarantee that he would be able to kill him.
