Chapter 1103

Charlie got back to his room early. Just as he was about to hit the sack, he got a call from Waters.

“Hey, Mr. James, my shower’s gone bonkers, can you come over and take a look?”

Charlie replied with a grin, “You could call a repairman, or if that’s a no-go, switch to a different room.”

“At this hour, even a repairman needs some shut-eye, and the hotel’s packed tonight. Where am I supposed to switch to?” Waters retorted, a tad peeved.

Charlie responded quietly, “Well, then you might have to skip the shower.”

“But I’m all sweaty and uncomfortable, I won’t be able to sleep at all if I don’t shower,” Waters said, after a pause, she added, “Or perhaps I could use your bathroom to take a quick shower and then leave. It won’t disturb you for long, is that okay?”

Charlie replied, “Sure, come over.”

“I’ll be right there, hold your horses!” There was a hint of flirtation in Waters’ voice.

After hanging up, Charlie set his phone aside, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.

Before long, the doorbell rang. Charlie opened the door to find Waters still in the red dress she had been wearing earlier, revealing her smooth neck, a bathrobe thrown over her arm. She looked at Charlie, asking, “I’m not disturbing your rest, am

1?”

“If I said yes, would you leave?” Charlie half-jokingly replied.

“I’m already here, you’re going to ask me to leave?” Waters took a step closer, almost pressing against Charlie’s body, “Are you really willing to let me go?”

Charlie took a step back, shutting the door, “Go ahead and shower.”

“I’ll be quick!” Waters gave him a seductive look before heading into the bathroom.

Soon, the sound of the shower filled the bathroom. The semi-transparent glass door cast a captivating silhouette of a woman, an undeniably tempting sight for any man. Charlie lit a cigarette, took a seat by the window, and gazed out at the night view.

This place was far from the city. The night here was different from the city, no bustling traffic, no vibrant neon lights, just the soft moonlight and the fresh evening breeze.

Before Charlie could finish his cigarette, Waters was done with her shower. She was only wrapped in a thin towel, revealing her long legs as she walked barefoot on the carpet, step by step, approaching Charlie.

Charlie watched her without moving.

Waters squatted in front of Charlie. She had washed off her makeup, and her eyes became even more alluring. She made no effort to conceal her desire as she looked at Charlie ardently. “Mr. James, can we be together?”

Before Charlie could answer, Waters continued, “Honestly, I did initially get close to you for business reasons, but two years have passed and I’ve fallen for you. I’m ready to go all in.”

Waters was beautiful, with a killer body and skin as smooth as silk, a temptation hard for any man to resist.

However, Charlie remained cool, and his voice, polite yet gentlemanly, responded, “I’m sorry, I’m not in the mood tonight.” Waters frowned, adding to her allure, “I know you’ve met many people, but I don’t think I’m any less than any of your past female friends. What are you worried about, Mr. James?”

“I’m just not into you.” Charlie’s voice was indifferent, as if he was talking about food or tea.

Waters had many suitors, so being rejected was a blow to her pride, “You’re overthinking. I’m not after anything from you, it’s just love between a man and a woman. I love you and am willing to give myself to you. If you ever get tired some day. I won’t cling to you, and I won’t cause any trouble.”

She believed she was being extremely sincere. She had been pursuing this man for two years, and he had indeed wormed his way into her heart. She desperately wanted to have him at all costs.
