Chapter 1189

Manley tilted his head towards Estelle, whispering, “Promise me one thing.”

“What? Spit it out!” Estelle lifted her head to look at him.

“No matter what happens, you can’t utter a word!” There was a hint of mischief in Manley’s eyes as he stared at her intensely.

Before Estelle could grasp his words, a cold voice came from behind: “Can you two pipe down?”

Hearing the voice, Estelle instinctively furrowed her brows, took a deep breath silently, and turned around.

Jonathan stood a few meters away in the shadows, his face cold, his black eyes fixed on Estelle. “Weren’t you supposed to be sketching designs? Why are you here?”

Just as Estelle was about to speak, Manley suddenly leaned in, speaking in a low voice, “Remember your promise!”

Estelle glared at him and said, “Manley, stop being a pain in the ass!”

Manley paid her no mind, wrapping his arm around her waist and challenging Jonathan with his eyes, “Mr. Lamont, I fancy seeing you here!”

All Jonathan did was look at Estelle, his eyes filled with anger and pain, and said, “You were all over me this afternoon, but now you’re in another man’s arms. Estelle, you sure know how to drop a bombshell!”

His gaze was icy, his tone dripping with sarcasm. “I thought you just needed time to accept me again. So you were choosing between him and me. Have you made your decision?”

Manley’s eyes were filled with mischief as he laughed provocatively, “Of course she chose me. Estelle just admitted to me that she shouldn’t have gotten so close to you and apologized. I’ve forgiven her!”

Estelle shot him a glare. She could keep her mouth shut, but he was pushing it!

“Apologized?” Jonathan laughed bitterly. “Did she apologize to you for impulsively jumping into my bed?”

Estelle’s face turned pale instantly. She looked at Jonathan, trying to keep her composure.

Manley’s eyes dimmed slightly, but his smile grew wider. “It’s okay, I love her so much, even if she carries another man’s child, I will still raise it!”

“Manley!” Jonathan finally turned to him, a killing intent in his eyes. “You once saved her, so I’ve left you alone. But don’t push your luck!”

Manley laughed even more recklessly, saying, “Let’s hurt each other then. As long as Estelle chooses me, I’m willing to never go home!”

Jonathan looked at Estelle, his voice hoarse. “Tell me, did you choose him?”

Manley held Estelle tightly and said, “Of course, hasn’t Mr. Lamont noticed? Estelle is happier with me!”

“Is that so?” Jonathan’s eyes were cold; his pain was profound, like the chill of the night.

Estelle’s heart ached. She looked at him and softly said, “No.”

At the same time, Manley said, “How can it not be? Didn’t Mr. Lamont see how cozy Estelle and I were?”

The last glimmer of light in Jonathan’s eyes disappeared.

“Enough!” Estelle looked at Manley, her eyes resolute, and said softly, “You can leave now!”

After she said this, she didn’t have the courage to look at Jonathan’s face and turned to leave first.

Manley followed Estelle with a smug smile, giving Jonathan a cocky raise of the eyebrows.

Jonathan looked at their retreating figures, his heart turning cold. He had planned to confront her when he arrived, but she didn’t explain or speak, like a heavy blow crushing his pride!

Should he chase after her?

If he did, would he be trampled on mercilessly by her again?
