“Don’t worry, Kya’s always mentioning you!”

Manley chuckled, “More considerate than you!”

Estelle kept silent.

“I’ve got no clue when I’ll be back next, come, give me a hug!” Manley spread his arms towards her.

Estelle looked at his bright eyes filled with a smile and slowly smiled back, gently embracing his shoulders.

Inside a black car not far away, Jonathan was watching the two hugging each other, his mood heavy as if a sharp knife was plummeting down, deeply stabbing his heart.

Why did he come here to see all this?

How much more humiliation could he take?

How could he salvage this?

All his dignity and pride had long been trampled on, and he had retracted all his sharpness and fierceness, tolerating Manley trampling over his head and her heart no longer fully belonging to him.

But despite doing so much, he still couldn’t get her to look back at him.

The sight before him pained him to the core, making him question everything!

He stared unblinkingly at the two, wanting to know how much a person’s heart could hurt.

Eventually, Manley let go of Estelle, saying, “Go, get some rest; don’t overthink!”

Estelle nodded. “Have a safe trip; take care of yourself!”

“Sure!” Manley squinted his eyes and smiled.

Estelle turned around to get out of the car, stood there waving goodbye to Manley, and then headed for the building entrance.

Manley waited until she disappeared from sight, looked at the car behind him through the rearview mirror, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth, then drove away.

Estelle took a shower and went to bed. She lay there but felt no sleepiness.

The image of Jonathan’s angry eyes and his words kept playing in her head, making her feel suffocated.

He might really give up on her this time!

She tossed and turned until late at night, not knowing when she fell asleep.

Jonathan’s car was parked downstairs for a long time, not leaving until the sky was almost bright.

The next day, Estelle went downstairs on time to the Lamont family; the Lamont family’s car was already waiting downstairs, driven by the Lamont family’s chauffeur.

Estelle knew Jonathan might never come again.

Once at the Lamont family, Estelle went upstairs with her usual expression, then started her class after chatting with Henson for a bit. During the break, Henson said, “Jonathan didn’t come home all night yesterday; do you know where he went?”

Estelle paused in her book flipping, shaking her head. “I have no idea!”

“Strange, you don’t know either!” Henson frowned. “I thought he was with you.”

Estelle glanced at him and said, “Don’t overthink; let’s continue the class!”

Henson raised an eyebrow, muttering, “You adults, you always make me worry.”

Estelle was speechless.
