Chapter 263

“Why bother locking yourself in your room for him if he’s not worth it?”

“I’m reflecting on how stupid I’ve been!”

Estelle said, “It’s his fault, not yours. He might not even be as upset as you are. Why torture yourself? Maybe he’s already happily with Leah, and you haven’t forgiven yourself.”

Norah choked, “Yeah, maybe they’re already together.”

“Don’t let Henson and Grandma get worried. Go out and eat something, have some sweets, and you’ll feel better,” Estelle advised.

Norah sniffed, “I get it, I’ll go out now. Thanks, Estelle!”

“You’re welcome!”

Estelle hung up, and a little while later, Henson sent her a message with a thumbs–up animation.

Looks like Norah had gone downstairs to eat.

Norah and Nicolas had broken up for good, and Estelle called Jason to prepare for the cancellation of the contract with Shining Jewels. However, before Estelle could send the cancellation agreement to the Burke family, they were already preparing for revenge.

Leah’s father, Austin Burke, started from scratch. Over the years, he seemed to have acquired a bit of a nouveau riche mentality, believing that everyone in J City needed to respect him.

So when he found out that Leah had been beaten at Midnight Bar, he brought a dozen bodyguards from his company to confront them directly.

A group of them went up to the eighth floor, looking fierce as they barged in and demanded to find Estelle.

Mamie tried to stop them, she smiled and said, “Estelle is busy right now. If there is anything you need, you can tell me.”

One of Austin’s bodyguards slapped Mamie, “Who the hell are you? You better tell that bitch to come over here and get on her knees to apologize to our boss. If we wait any longer, I’ll smash your nightclub!”

Mamie, feeling unsteady from the slap, said solemnly, “You can’t hit people like that! Get out, or I’m calling security!”

“I don’t give a damn about security! I’m not afraid!” Austin approached a private room and kicked the door open, “Where’s Estelle? Get the hell out here! How dare you hit my Leah? I’ll break your legs!”

Mamie rushed over to stop it but she was restrained by two bodyguards, pressing her hands against the wall.

Susan, who was hiding nearby, also got dragged out, and without being threatened, she volunteered the information, “Don’t hit me! Estelle is in 8809, go find her!”

Austin led the bodyguards to room 8809, and as they reached the door, Austin kicked it in.

There were seven or eight people in the room. Charlie was playing poker with a few people. Jonathan asked Estelle to play for him while he gave

her instructions.

As soon as the door was kicked open, everyone was taken aback.

Not scared, but surprised. They never thought that anyone in J City would dare to kick Jonathan’s door!

Austin walked in, scanned the room, and asked coldly, “Which one of you is Estelle?”

The other hostesses exchanged glances, but none of them dared to look in Estelle’s direction.

Estelle was about to stand up, but Jonathan raised his hand to keep her seated and walked over to Austin with an elegant smile, “What do you

want with her?”

One of Austin’s bodyguards stepped forward, pointed at Jonathan, and said arrogantly, “Our boss wants Estelle, so get out of the way and mind your own business!”

The moment he finished speaking, Jonathan grabbed the bodyguard’s arm, pulled him forward, and smashed his head onto a table. The glass shattered, bottles rolled everywhere, and the room was filled with the hostesses‘ screams.

Jonathan casually threw the now unconscious bodyguard aside, and straightened himself. He rolled up his sleeves revealing his veins, looking as Tazily noble as ever.

He looked at the stunned Austin and spoke calmly again, “Speak nicely. What do you want with Estelle?”
