He didn’t care about the others at all, feeding Estelle ice cream as if nobody else was around, showing extreme affection for her.
Without looking up, Estelle noticed the sharp gaze from the man across the table. She glanced at Manley, took the spoon from his hand, and whispered, “Stop faking it, no one cares.”
Manley leaned down, lowered his head and smiled shallowly, “I’m not faking it, okay? I just want to spoil you. I’ll do this even if Jonathan isn’t here.”
Estelle lowered her head to eat her ice cream, and the two of them whispering together looked like they were sharing sweet nothings.
Hattie looked at Estelle curiously and couldn’t help but admire her a bit. How did she get involved with Manley after leaving Jonathan?

If the Raye family was out, Hooper and Maisie’s affair would have nothing to do with the film.
So Jonathan’s choice was to invest capital to keep Hattie, or agree with Manley’s words and change the lead actress to Estelle.
But Estelle was not an actress at all, and Mr. Daly wouldn’t agree either. If Jonathan agreed to change, he would definitely put himself in an unjust position.
