However, Charlotte was unable to invite Joe for a meal in time because she was too busy.

In the first year of enrollment, there was a tradition where the student union would organize a welcome party, and the freshmen would participate.

As the youngest student in her year, Charlotte was naturally assigned a performance right away.

She joined a dance performance and was chosen as the lead dancer by her classmates’ recommendation.

However, when Charlotte returned to the dressing room after hosting the event, she found that her dance costume had been damaged.

“Who did this?” Eva was both angry and anxious.

She knew how much time Charlotte had put into rehearsing for this performance, and to see it ruined just before the show was unacceptable to anyone.

However, Charlotte remained calm. She looked over the damaged costume and said with a hint of surprise, “Fortunately, the damage to the costume isn’t too severe, perhaps there's still a chance to fix it.”

Upon hearing Charlotte's words, everyone knew it wasn’t the time to find the culprit. Soon, someone brought a needle and thread. Although they had the tools, no one knew how to sew. Just then, Wendy walked over. Seeing the damaged costume in Charlotte’s hands, she furrowed her brow slightly and said, “Since your costume is already damaged, why not just withdraw from the performance?”

“How can you do that?” Eva immediately stepped forward. “Charlotte has put in so much time for this performance, how can you not let her perform just because her costume is damaged?”

“Are we really going to let one person ruin the entire performance?” Wendy also insisted.

She looked around and asked, “Are you willing to let Charlotte not perform, or are you willing to take the risk of the entire performance being ruined just to let her go on stage?”

Many members of the performance group lowered their heads. Although they sympathized with Charlotte’s situation, they had all invested a significant amount of time in this dance, and no one wanted to see it fail because of one person. Eva, looking at the silent performance group, was so angry that her eyes turned red.
