Chapter 711 Obtained the Marriage Certificate

Charlotte enthusiastically hugged Joe and planted a firm kiss on his face, saying, “I love this place so much! You…”

Before she could take a look at the bamboo house, Joe seized her and pulled her close, his voice low and husky, “I’ll make sure to show you every inch of the bamboo house.”

Sensing a hint of danger, Charlotte chuckled nervously, “That’s not really necessary…”

Without giving her a chance to escape, Joe carried her into the bamboo house with firm strides.

And then, Charlotte experienced the exquisite bamboo house firsthand.

It was already three days later when they left the bamboo house. Charlotte’s body ached all over, and she couldn’t even take a single step. In the end, Joe had to carry her onto the plane.

Whenever Charlotte thought about this incident, she wished she could kick Joe out of the bedroom.

Fortunately, Joe realized he had gone too far. He had been very obedient these past few days, completely abandoning his usual high and mighty attitude as the president and becoming a good husband who listened to his wife’s every word.

That was when Charlotte reluctantly let go of her anger.

On that morning, Charlotte gave Joe a cold glance and said in a cool tone, “I have a gift to give you.”

Seeing her finally willing to engage with him voluntarily, Joe breathed a sigh of relief.

He nodded repeatedly and said, “As long as it’s a gift from my wife, I like it.”

“Who said I’m your wife?” Charlotte said with annoyance, “We haven’t even obtained a marriage certificate yet.”

The smile on Joe’s face immediately faded, and he approached Charlotte, “How about we go get one now?”

“What?” Charlotte couldn’t believe Joe had suddenly steered the conversation in this direction. “We…”

“I think it’s a great idea,” Joe continued, growing more convinced of its merit as he spoke. He immediately contacted Jack and Frank, informing them he and Charlotte wouldn’t be coming to the office today.

Then he went upstairs to pick out a dress for Charlotte and carried her up to the same floor.

Up until this point, Charlotte still couldn’t snap out of her surprise.

She looked at Joe in disbelief. “Are we really going to get a marriage certificate? Isn’t this too rushed?”

Joe thought for a moment, then turned and placed the prenuptial agreement he had prepared earlier in front of Charlotte.

When Charlotte saw the words “prenuptial agreement,” she paused and, after reading its contents, was utterly shocked.

“If one of us cheats, all our assets will be transferred to the other party’s name?”

This seemed a bit extreme.

Joe, however, didn’t see anything wrong with it. “Since you didn’t want me to transfer all the assets to your name before, let’s use this contract to hold ourselves accountable.”

Charlotte sighed, “I don’t think we need such a contract between us.”

“Of course, we don’t need it,” Joe acknowledged Charlotte’s words. “I just want to sign one.”

Seeing his determination, Charlotte didn’t say more and signed the agreement with a bold stroke.

It wasn’t until they were in the car heading to the marriage registry office that Charlotte came back to her senses. She had initially thought that getting married too hastily was a bad idea. So why did Joe suddenly bring out the prenuptial agreement and drive here directly?

She glanced sideways at Joe, who was driving attentively. Suddenly, her initial apprehension began to subside.

Actually, if it was Joe, it didn’t seem like such a bad idea after all.

The two arrived at the marriage registry office and obtained their marriage certificate with relative ease.

Looking at the certificate in her hand, Charlotte appeared somewhat dazed. She hadn’t expected to remarry so quickly.
