Ben and Anna rushed into Charlotte’s arms like two small missiles.
This separation was probably the longest they had been apart from Charlotte since their birth. Especially when Charlotte had forgotten their existence before leaving, it had made Ben and Anna very uneasy.
Now, finally seeing their beloved mom, they couldn’t hold back any longer.
Both of them quietly wiped away their tears in Charlotte’s embrace. Anna, in particular, softly hugged Charlotte’s neck and choked out, “Mom, do you remember us now?”
Anna’s sad voice was like an arrow piercing Charlotte’s heart.
Her eyes immediately welled up with tears, and her throat tightened.
“Don’t worry, I’ll never forget you,” Charlotte held them tightly and refused to let go.
Seeing the two children’s reactions, the others present also couldn’t help but get teary-eyed, and Joe felt a lump in his throat.

The waiters acted swiftly, and as the lights lit up everywhere, the subtle sadness that had lingered in the air vanished instantly, replaced by joy.
Lena smiled as she approached, with Gideon attentively guarding her, afraid that anything unexpected might happen to her.
Now that Charlotte had remembered her past school days, she had grown close to both of them.
“I’ve always seen Gideon as someone in the prime of life. Who would have thought he’d have a day like this?” Charlotte said mockingly.
Several months had passed, and Lena’s belly had swelled like an inflated balloon. Even before Gideon, when Charlotte saw her, she was astonished.
“Lena, you…”
When Lena knew what she wanted to ask, Charlotte’s words hadn’t even left her mouth.
With a helpless sigh, Lena replied, “I know what you want to ask. There’s really only one child inside, but… It’s just a bit chubby.”
“When we went for the check-up today, the baby was already nine pounds,” Gideon said with
resignation.
Charlotte was thoroughly shocked by this number, which was beyond her expectations.
She pursed her lips and said, “Ben and Anna, combined, were only ten pounds when they were born.”
No wonder Gideon was being so careful; delivering a baby of this weight vaginally would be quite challenging.
Lena didn’t dwell on this matter too much. For her, everything was as it was now, and she would follow the doctor’s instructions.
“Have all your memories fully returned now?” Lena asked Charlotte with concern.
Charlotte hesitated for a moment and shook her head.
“I still haven’t been able to recall the memories of the past year or so,” Charlotte honestly replied.
Lena couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Seems like Joe is really unlucky,” Lena said, though her gloating eyes betrayed her true feelings. “He finally won back his wife, was on the verge of victory, and then his mother intervened. As a result, his wife completely forgot about him.”
While going through these experiences, it didn’t seem so bad, but now that Lena brought it up, Charlotte couldn’t help but feel a bit sorry for Joe.
