Forbidden Zone of the Human Race

Chapter 359

Chapter 359: Thirty Percent

Every living being, including Xiang Ning, the beasts, and humans, were squirming on the ground in pain. It was like a field of death. This was cheating! How could they fight back now?

Zhao Zhongxian was just five hundred meters away. He immediately ran after dropping his camera. Those in the livestream saw the video turning around and found out that he had run away.

“Hey! What happened?”

“Are you running just like that?”

“Shit! Find an angle before you run! The video is being blocked by some fur!”

Zhao Zhongxian was using all of his strength to sprint back to the safe zone. Everyone else would have thought that he was being chased by beasts.

No one blamed him, though. He was already an amazing journalist that had dared to stand on the corpse of a beast just for the livestream. Still, the front line was slowly being pushed away from him, so he had been in a relatively safe area. No one knew why he was running and left the camera behind.

He ran back to the safe zone as he gasped for air, his heart almost exploding from the overexertion. But he dared not stop as he frantically looked for something.

“Hey! What’re you looking for?” some of the martial artists perplexedly asked him.

“I… I need… I need microphones and speakers! The louder they are the better!” he panted.

“What’re you going to do with them?”josei

“Please don’t ask me any more useless questions! Just tell me where they are! Hurry!” Zhao Zhongxian's eyes were so wide that they almost popped out. Humans were creatures that would fall sick the more they exerted themselves. If it weren’t for his exhaustion, his legs would have long been broken.

“Woah!” The man was stunned by his attitude, but still helped him find where the equipment was. He had just run from the front line, anyway. Based on his expression, it seemed like the situation was grim.

The microphone and speakers were something they had prepared since there were so many people around. They needed it to give out orders.

“Quickly!” Zhao Zhongxian closely followed the man.

Back on the battlefield, Xiang Ning endured the pain in his head and activated the Eight Gates.

“Eight Gates! Gate of Shock, Open!” His veins popped as strength filled his body. The three-minute timer started at that moment!

He activated all eight gates and his strength had soared to tier six, four-star. The Amethyst Nightdemon’s voice was now only affecting him at 30% of its power.

“Holy shit! Xiang Ning is changing!”

“Wait… isn’t this the same thing he did in Hang City?”

“No! History’s repeating itself!”

“Why is it Xiang Ning again?! Why him!”

“Shit! Where are the others?!”

“Why is it always him that fights the fiercest?!”

“Tsk, how did a human like you increase your strength in such a short time? While there may be breathing techniques that have the same effect, yours is ridiculous!”

Xiang Ning breathed out in pain. His body was enduring horrifying pressure and damage so his Experience Points were furiously increasing!

“Triple Slash!”

He saved the trash talk as he used his technique to close the gap. The thirty-meter gap between them was closed in just a single second.

Obsession freaked out. He’s fast!

“Mountain-Splitting Slash!” Xiang Ning roared as his body started glowing red. “Die!” The slash that contained enough strength to sever mountains and split seas fell downward. While his Mental Power wasn’t strong enough to produce a good effect, Oscillation was still capable of causing his slash to vibrate at eleven times per second, making it capable of dishing out thousands of tons of damage.

Obsession knew that his body wouldn’t be able to intercept the attack even while he was transformed. An Amethyst Nightdemon was a strong beast, sure, but its physical body was weaker than its Mental Power. A single slash would incapacitate him!

As a bat, he utilized his precise senses and wings to dodge.

He also knew what kind of move Xiang Ning was making the moment he moved. In Obsession’s mind, he had already predicted some of the most probable moves. What he hadn’t expected, however, was the speed of the attack. Still, it didn’t matter, as a single flap of his wings would be enough to bring him out of harm's way.

As he flew up he saw five flying knives aimed at his wings.

“Hmph! Don’t think that you can harm me with Mk. 4 flying knives!” He sent out another wave of voice that stunned Xiang Ning for a moment. The knives briefly lost their power, but then he suddenly broke through into tier six, five-star and immediately regained control of the flying knives, sending them flying toward Obsession once again. The latter was mad and brandished his claws; as a mutant, he still had his tier five physical body.

He smashed three of the incoming knives, while two of them found their targets on his arm. Xiang Ning had originally aimed for his eyes, but had been blocked.

Four more knives flew out toward the mutant’s critical spots. Instead of flying straight for the kill, the knives menacingly circled Obsession. Xiang Ning wanted him to go on the defensive so he wouldn’t be able to run around that fast. Then he could finally corner him somewhat.

Even with his heightened sense, Obsession could only be 70% sure of what Xiang Ning would do next. On the other hand, Xiang Ning’s Keen Observation granted him complete knowledge of his enemy’s next move, along with its critical points. His perception was stronger than Obsession's by 30%!

While the knives weren’t able to land a solid hit, anyone would have been angered if they were being chased by six knives. Multiple lacerations appeared on Obsession’s body as he was struggling in pain. It wasn’t long before he took a risk and swiped his wings. The knives were instantly shattered.

But that was fine for Xiang Ning, as he couldn’t hold on much longer either, and spat out blood; thirty seconds had passed and the side effects of the Eight Gates were showing up.
