Volume 2, Chapter 5.2: Unicorn’s Horn?

Clown turned around and struck down the arrow with his knife.

Talmiya used the opening when Clown turned around to strike the horse’s leg with her double-edged knife.

Clown leaped off the horse before it collapsed.

?YOU FU*CKING PIECES OF SHI*T! YOUR LEADER IS GOING TO RUN HERE. USE YOUR FU*CKING LIVES TO BUY ME TIME!?

Talmiya rushed her horse to charge toward Clown.

And just like what he did to Torque, he leaped up and tried to land on Talmiya’s horse, right behind her.

His gaze met Talmiya’s mid-air.

?… AH??

Talmiya had also leaped from her horse around the time Clown leaped up.

And just like that, Talmiya attacked Clown with her double-edged knife.

Clown stopped Talmiya’s knife with his own that was hidden in his sleeve.

A loud, metallic sound resounded as their knives clashed.

Talmiya’s hand moved quickly, slashing at Clown’s throat with the other edge of her knife.

Clown narrowly dodged her attacks, yet she persistently pursued him, skillfully turning her wrist to make one sharp attack after another. She made full use of her double-edged knife’s blade.

Although Clown parried her sharp and deadly strikes, he was already inside of Talmiya’s perfect attack range.

Finally, a swift slash left a shallow wound on Clown’s cheek.

Clown looked at Talmiya with bloodshot eyes. As he parried her double-edge knife, he destroyed her stance and used that chance to leap back, regaining his footing.

?You’ve done it now…?

Even though that slash wound was the result of his carelessness, there was no denying that Clown’s abilities far outclassed those of Talmiya.

He was confident that he could easily crush Talmiya as long as she was in his attack range.

However, the another member of ?Dancing Sword? caught up with them and stabbed their spear toward Clown.

It was the spear-user Botom.

?TCH!?

Clown could avoid that attack too.

However, he knew that he was at an extreme disadvantage facing so many opponents at once.

?YOU USELESS PIECES OF SH*IT SMALL FRIES. WHAT IN THE FU*CKING HE*LL ARE YOU DO-…?

Clown raised his face, and just when he was about to swear at his underlings, he was completely at a loss.

The battlefield was littered with the corpses of those masked men.

There were only eight of them left. The rest either died or escaped.

As for the eight who were still alive, it wasn’t out of loyalty toward Clown; it was merely because they were surrounded by the members of?Dancing Sword?. They couldn’t escape even if they wanted to.

Two of those eight had already raised their hands in surrender, begging for their lives.

?YOU LITTLE PIE-!!!?

?GIVE UP!?

Botom turned his horse, stabbing his spear toward Clown again.

Suddenly, an arrow came flying from far behind Clown, aiming straight at Botom.

?R-Reinforcements??

When Botom dodged that arrow… another arrow had already been fired at him.

?… EH??

That arrow pierced Botom’s head from the side.

It seemed that the second arrow was fired under the assumption that Botom would dodge the first one.

But no matter how you looked at it, it was an impossible feat.

Because the firing speed of the arrow was simply too fast for a normal human.

In addition, one simply needed an inhuman level of skill to predict Botom’s fast movements. Aiming at him from on top of a fast-moving horse and firing the arrows, all of that must be done within a split second.

Botom’s spear dropped from his hands as he fell from his horse, a shocked look plastered on his face.

It was?an instant death.

The sudden death of their comrade when they were on the verge of victory gave a large blow to the other members of ?Dancing Sword?.

An unpleasant silence instantly enveloped the members of ?Dancing Sword?.

Although some were still confused and whispered his name, their voices vanished along with the wind.

?He*ll yeah, bull’s eye.?

The one who appeared from the direction where the arrow came from was a beautiful young man armed with a bow in his hand.

He had curly, ginger hair and was donned in green noble attire.

He was riding atop a beautiful, near-transparent horse.

His figure was just like that of a king from a storybook.

?W-Who the he*ll are you??

Even Clown, who was protected by that man, didn’t know his identity.

?I’m just the ally of the weak! What I enjoy the most is turning the tide of battle instead of backing the winning horse. The thrill of turning the table against the winner is something that I can never get enough of.?

He grinned ear to ear as he spoke those joke-like lines.

?N-No way, the War God, Robin Hood, is back in Barreira City?!?

Fando looked at the man with a shocked look on his face.

Robin Hood?the adventurer born in Barreira City.

He was an infamous man, who was often sent to jail due to his extremely self-centered personality in spite of his supreme battle prowess.

Even though he was sentenced to death, he successfully ensnared his jailer with his eloquence and escaped from the prison.

He loved to battle and would go as far as to fan the flame. He even poked his nose in the affairs of others just to satisfy his warmonger nature.

Fundamentally, he would choose the weak side, and if both sides were equal in might, he would decide his side with a coin toss.

He didn’t care for reason; he just wanted a battle.

That was why, even if he saved the others on whim, it was unrelated to something like kindness.

And yet, that didn’t change the fact that his skill could easily place him in the top five strongest of Barreira City.

Robin Hood was hailed as a monster born in Barreira City, the capital of adventurers.

?The clown over there, let this Robin Hood help you! Command me in exchange for the weak subordinates that abandoned you! Run or fight! Let the world know the howl of your heart, and enjoy the supreme taste of victory alongside me!?
