Chapter 1020 - Fire World
Chapter 1020 - Fire World
After traveling the world once more, Alex finally finished all his tasks in that world. Although it was such a shame that he couldn't watch how the evolution progressed and saw all those natural disasters happening at once, the experience there wasn't that bad.
When he left the world, he then took out a compass to another world. He needed to upgrade his Fire Authority and took the inheritance from Encore.
In that case, he decided to get the one that would take a longer time.
Having no idea what to expect from the next planet other than surrounded by fire, he used his Teleportation Array to head there.
Luckily, the journey this time wasn't that long. In fact, it was pretty near that world, so he arrived within two hours of teleporting.
Alex found a giant star that was several times bigger than a Divine World. Amazed by it, he summoned Eve to his side.
"Can you take a look at that?" Alex smiled.
"Yes, it's shining so brightly, but I can't understand its size. I believe this is around twenty times bigger than my original world." She furrowed her eyebrows.
"It's seven times bigger than my place, Eulja. There are actually many worlds and stars are bigger than this. It's fascinating, isn't it?" Alex smiled.
"Yes. I also could see a world that doesn't have the day and night cycle." She nodded repeatedly.
"That's our destination." Alex pointed at a red planet, the nearest planet from the sun. He could see that the atmosphere was burning while the surface was a kind of molten lava.
"Are we going there?" She was a bit skeptical going to this kind of place, considering that her real body was that of a weapon. And when she was forged, the Blackwade Clan used fire.
"Don't worry. I will be protecting you with my Pure Fire. Besides, aren't you immune to fire now?" Alex asked while furrowing his eyebrows.
"A bit, but I still need to spend my power. Unlike your body that has been tampered by the Pure Fire itself, I only have your abilities, not the body or innate skills." She shook her head.
"I see. So, if there is enough heat, you will be able to melt?"
"Every sword can melt to be honest. In fact, Master is the bane of weapons. Unless they have something more endurable against your powerful heat, the weapon will slowly melt. Of course, the enemy can use their Spiritual Energy to prevent the sword from melting down, but it's temporary. I thought you had noticed this…" Eve looked at him with a confused face.
"Not really. I never saw someone's sword melting down, so I didn't realize it." Alex thought for a moment and asked. "Xingzhi, you know about this?"
[Yes. In the past, other than fire element users, the ones who didn't want to fight the Fire God for a long time were weapon users.]
"I see." Alex nodded as if he thought something terrible. "At least, it's good to know this early."
"Uhm." Eve agreed with him. "Well, I want Master to be more careful from now on. That's right. I forgot about this, but the twins actually asked you the same. Although they were able to withstand your heat, sometimes it was a bit bad, so they needed to endure it."
"Ugh. I will be more careful in the future." Alex nodded. "That's right. I almost forgot to pick up the twins. Since they are still in the Blackwade Clan, I will go there after this."
[I will inform Song Tao about this.]
"Yes. Thank you."
"By the way, are we going to enter, Master?" Eve asked.
"Yes. If you can't withstand it anymore, you can go back to the Inventory. But there is one more thing that piques my interest." Alex paused for a moment. "What kind of process did you undergo during the forging?"
"Hmm… The fire itself came from the sun." She pointed at the sun nearby. "They seemed to have some kind of mechanism that could amplify the power of the sun to make a heat enough to rival your Godly Pure Fire."
"Ho?! Interesting." Alex smiled, a bit excited. He never thought that his Godly Pure Fire would have a rival. Although it could easily be suppressed, the heat alone was insane.
"Anyway, are we going to enter the planet, Master?"
Alex asked her to wait a bit while taking out the information about the planet that Lin Xingzhi sent along with the compass.
"I am checking the planet first. It seems this planet has monsters residing within it. They are inside the molten lava, living comfortably. Well, I can deal with them pretty quickly, but I feel bad for them since I am going to absorb a huge amount of Fire Element on their planet." Alex sighed.
"How about taking them under your wing?" She asked.
"Them? Well, first of all, I don't know them. I can try to talk to them like what I did to Heilo and Leka, but this is going to be a bit troublesome." He sighed. "Besides, those two have gone to Eulja anyway, so I wonder how am I going to convince them?"
"Is there a limit or something for having people under you?"
"Not a clue," Alex asked Lin Xingzhi again.
[There is. Just like how they have undergone a transformation under your Pure Fire, there is a limit to that. According to the record, the limit is ten. If not, the Fire God will create an army of Fire Element monsters.]
"Now that I think about it, I have Sherry, Stina, Kyle, Ellen, Leka as my contracted beasts. There are only five more left, right?"
"Master, I think you need to consider me one." Eve raised her hand, raising a petition.
"Why?" Alex furrowed his eyebrows.
"You can ask someone about it."
Alex became even more bewildered, but Lin Xingzhi immediately informed him.
[Yes. What she said was true. She had a kind of transformation after bathing in your Pure Fire. Although the effect wasn't as big as the others, you needed to count them as one. That's the reason why the Fire God didn't use weapons.]
"Then, will the twins be considered one or two?" Alex narrowed his eyes. He didn't really mind about having them, but he just wanted to know the count.
[One. Even though they are twins, their real body is the same.]
"I see. That means I can only have three more, right?"
[Are you planning to get more?]
"I am not sure." Alex shook his head. "For the time being, I don't have a desire for another one."
[Just don't forget that you can decline a life and death contract.]
"Don't worry. I know about it." Alex nodded. "In any case, I am still wondering what I should do to these monsters on the planet."
[Even if you are sucking the Fire Energy, it will restore itself. If you look at the planet right now, a portion of its atmosphere has gotten absorbed by the sun, so it was a dying planet. I am not sure that the beasts will survive at that time.]
"So, I can offer to give them another planet?" Alex asked.
[Yes. We have a planet with that criteria. Although the fire energy is not as bountiful as this one, the Spiritual Energy from the planet is enough to compensate for that. You can ask them about it, and Zark can take them there. Well, sooner or later, they will soon become your subordinate anyway after seeing your Godly Pure Fire.]
"Haha…" Alex scratched the back of his head. "Anyway, since I already know what I need to do, it's time to move on."
[Sure. Be careful.]
Alex nodded while Eve entered the sword again.
He entered the burning atmosphere with ease and arrived in the sky of the planet. He found that there wasn't a single thing in this world other than molten lava.
To the east, he found a giant crater that was filled with molten lava as a doubt raised in his mind. "Is that a sea? I mean, it has a deep basin. The seawater should have evaporated, leaving only this type of phenomenon."
Eve came out again and looked at what Alex saw. She stared at it for a while.
In the meantime, Alex used his Spirit Eyes to check the situation on this planet. A monster seemed to be living in that giant crater. It was a pretty powerful monster.
"A Rank 6 God monster, huh." Alex had a deep frown. It wouldn't be easy to convince such a monster, but he thought it was better than nothing. He flew to the crater and released his Spiritual Energy as if challenging the monster that hid inside this deep basin.
A thought transmission then echoed in his ears, asking. "What do you want, Human? I have never seen a human coming to this world again."
"You can talk?" Alex was surprised to see a monster that could talk. He felt lucky since it was easier to have a conversation with an intelligent monster like him.
"I can, and I don't have time to waste on you. If you are trying to challenge me, then forget it. Your Rank 8 God strength is not enough. I am here just to live peacefully."
Alex's expression turned serious. "I don't plan to make an enemy. I only wish you can hear me out for a moment because I have a proposal that you may want."
"A proposal? That's the first time a human trade with a monster."
"Whatever. In an hour, I will need a huge amount of Fire Energy, which I will absorb from this planet. I need around seventy percent to eighty percent of the energy. However, I don't plan on ruining someone's home. That's why I am asking you whether you want to leave this place and relocate to another planet? It's a similar planet like this one."
In the monster's ears, Alex's statement was a kind of looking down on him. He emerged from under the molten lava, showing its appearance.
It turned out that the deep voice that kept talking to him was a monster that had a similar structure to that of a snake.
The snake had a ten meters width body with a length of a few kilometers.
"Do you think you can have that arrogance just because you are a human? Don't underestimate me!" The snake glared at Alex.
"I have a planet with a similar environment. With how close this place to the sun, I believe it won't withstand another one thousand years." Alex narrowed his eyes. "Rather than waiting for it to die, how about leaving this place to get to another safe place? Besides, you won't be fighting against the original inhabitants.
"That's one of my reasons for not immediately cultivating on this planet. I don't wish to take it for granted even though I know in this world, the strong can get whatever he wants."
"Are you saying that you are strong enough to contend with me?" The snake released the fire from its red scale, trying to intimidate Alex with his powerful Fire Element and Divine Energy.
"Yes. Believe me, I do have the power to make you submit despite my current cultivation stage. At the same time, I can bring all the monsters from this planet, so no one will suffer." Alex nodded. "And after my training, it will take at least five hundred years to recover to this state, so I am afraid this place is already not suited for living."
"In that case, why don't you show me that strength of yours? I only respect the strong, not someone weaker than me. If you think you can convince me, do it now. Or I will kill you right now." The snake snarled.
"Since you want it…" Alex closed his eyes for a second. His Pure Fire began gushing out his body, forming a giant fox behind him.
"This… This…" The snake felt its body got restrained by something powerful, and the only possibility was Alex's Fire. "This is a Pure Fire? Do you think a Pure Fire can make me bow down?"
The snake shouted while releasing all of its Divine Energy to resist it.
Alex shook his head. "It's futile. Fire Authority, Fox Avatar."
Thump!
